So pre-patch i was running a conditionmancer build of 0/30/20/20. Now with the recent patch and the strong conditions we can place by going 30/30/10, is this stronger?

I know I lose out on survive ability by losing the toughness/vitally but is this strong or viable for just general PvE (dungeons, etc). Just need some thoughts and opinions.

I’m finding 30/30/10 to be very good at the moment and survivability isn’t really coming into play. I’m running full rabid’s and this is essentially my build:

http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fQAQNAW7YjMaF7pbub07JEpCPD0jeBXAxoHETwYMA-jUCBINERzUAQ0CCZEgw5QFRjtaqIasqbY6YER1GxFRrWKAIWDA-w

You still have 2700 armor which is around 30-33% damage reduction compared to a glass cannon. 50+% critical chance to trigger a 6 1/2 second Dhuumfire as soon as the CD comes up (easy to epidemic) + loads of critical bleeds. With Food, Signet of spite and the 10 stacks of might from Blood is Power you have around 2800 attack and 1850 condition damage, while having about 4-5 conditions up at a time, increasing attack damage by about 8-10% through Target the Weak. That means combined with your super high condition damage and critical chance, you’re actually doing decent damage on normal attacks. Especially if you have Master of Marks on instead of Chill of Death.

All your area bleeds pretty much last 17-20 seconds. Tainted Shackles is 17 seconds with both bleeds/Torment doing 130-160ish dmg per tick. Blood is Power main bleed is 57 seconds long which can be epidemiced almost 5 times alone and reapplied 2 times before running out. If you transfer the self bleed to the enemy right away, BoP alone applies 20K+ damage worth of bleeds every 24 seconds to just one target… yadadadada… (take a look at the bleed damage of skills and recharge times in the link provided).

Basically you’re a one man/woman armored artillery Necro, easily applying 2000-3000+ damage per second of condition damage and CC conditions, almost indefinitely, to whatever or how many enemies you’re fighting, while staying at a safe 900-1200 range if you choose to in PVE. Most things and trash mobs just melt and for bosses you could easily switch out terror for withering precision, which would probably fill in the gap between your area weakness application from poison blast finisher combo, signet of spite (17 secs) and enfeebling blood (17 secs).

It at least feels pretty amazing compared to virtually the same build only 6 days ago (20/30/20). The burning and torment really adds a lot more dps, while the mass weakness helps mitigate critical hits now as well.

Here’s what I posted yesterday in another PVE condition thread. It’s similar to Balekai, but with less CondDmg/more Power and a bit squishier:

This is what roughly I’ve been playing with today in Cursed Shore:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fQAQNAW7YjMap7tbKbM8JEpCPD0jbRXAxoHETwkMA-jAyAYLBZaBEVAIHWEN2SbR0Y1MYaTioaPSR0qFCYxWA-e

Pretty much just load up targets with conditions, Epidemic, and Fear/Torment them while they burn and melt. I don’t know if its really any better/worse than my previous power-focused zerker/knight axe/focus/staff (which shines for single-target), but it allows for more kiting without loss of DPS. One downside is low LF generation.

It seems to do pretty well, although I usually like more Toughness (e.g., swap some/all Rampager trinkets for Carrion or Rabid). I might use Carrion weapons instead, but this just happens to be the equipment I currently have.

Also, I’m liking the Adventurer runes. Usually when I need to heal I’ve also been dodging and am out of endurance, so getting free endurance with a heal is quite nice.

I don’t know if I’ll stick with this, but it seems quite nice for open-world PVE.

Stealth nerfs are the perfect fertilizer for mistrust.
