Can’t decide which profession to go for – Guardian or Necromancer.
The catch is… I’m gonna’ be using a Scepter & Focus build!
Necromancers! What’s a good build for these weapons?
Well Scepter is generally paired with offhand dagger and your second wepon would be a staff making a Condition build. or you use a Axe and Focus, with D/D for a power/burst build.
So putting them both together is probably not the best idea. First you need to decide what build you want before you pick the wep’s because some builds require special weapons to function properly. It’s like taking double daggers, and axe and saying i’m going to be a condition build. It just doesn’t work.
I run a scepter/dagger + scepter/focus build. I think scepter/focus is good for a hybrid build.

Scepter/Focus does seem good for a hybrid build. It could quickly stack a staggering number of conditions to spread among your foes. Set up a good scepter #3 too.
Wouldnt dagger focus work as well? I really like the chill, and the retalliation. I am thinking of staff and then Dagger focus subbing to ax focus when i really need range. Mostly power build i guess…
Will need to play around with it. Problem i face is that i really like staff and focus and wells lol. Trying to work a spec around that which sounds like maybe I should look into hybrid.
Only modification I would make is choose Rabid gear instead of Carrion. then use chance sigils (like sigil of earth or blood). For WvW, I use corruption sigils on my staff and focus offhand and earth sigil on my scepter.
