Can it please become toggleable? If you use skill 1 it will automatically use skill 1 over and over at the mouses current position. If pressed again or another skill is used the autocast is disabled.

This skill is really annoying. Similar to nade kit but worse since it’s much more important to the druid. Engineer nade kits could also benefit from this as well.

… I still want tengu.

I know its naughty, but you shouldn’t have to kill your hands or gear to play a game, so I will likely make a macro for this. I use left mouse button for weapon skills #1 and right for #2 so I’ll just make it spam #1 when I hold down the left mouse button.

I also do not want to destroy my new keyboard(s) which I already have replaced once after buying GW2. I just bought a Corsair K65 and a fresh inboard keyboard for my laptop because the #1 button is totally worn away from spamming 1, as well as the WASD, Space, “E” and “C” keys.

They should really think more about that kind of stuff, it is important.

I’m concerned about my keys as well which is a major reason for this suggestion. I honestly stopped playing engineer as much solely because nade kit and mortar kit are destroying my keys. It’s also just really annoying to have to spam a skill the way Cosmic Ray demands of the player.

Same, I made my Engi pretty much because of Grenade Kit, then I actually played it for a few days in WvW, now I don’t play Grenade Kit anymore

I can’t see an issue with the AA spamming by itself with ground targeted skills, it really is no difference to with a toggled AA with sword, in fact, its probably harder because you still need to position yourself in range and aim the skill with the mouse.

I’d much rather prefer they simply make it so we can target allies and use it that way where it auto fires the same as an offensive skill.

I can see some good synergy with zerg combat in WvW for the Druid and being able to shadow the commander and keep them targeted for auto heals would be a big help.

As it is, it’s simpyl too much annoyance to do this for 3 hours straight to the point that I’ll probably not use the Druid spec unless it’s specifically asked for.

My keyboard’s nothing special, but it defeats the point of “no sub fee” if I just end up buying a new $60 board every 4 months to play the game.

I think it should just be a channeled heal at the targeted location. Easier to use for both the druid and other players, since they can see the channel.

My logitech keyboard is 7 years old (cleaned the internals twice). It survived 1700 hours from grenade abuse, 2500 hours from elementalist (also quite a button spammer). No issues at all.

Same with celestial form. How would you play cleave warrior then? Selecting a target makes him choose a direction wich makes it harder to land on 3 target.

Longbow auto attack doenst connect with near the end of the ranger. That means you gotta spam 1. So hard for you now? Don’t think so.

I’m fine with how it is, really not hard to use. The cast time makes sure you have time to recover mustles of finger.

Also the way you guys suggest promotes afk builds. Lazy builds. ‘ok lemme install my macro, here goes, healing bot ready’. Not intended gameplay. You gotta move the cursor. There were times I healed near me first, at range, then me again and several times at differnet locations to top of hp. Guess what, what you guys suggest would kill that. It would basically be a nerf, for convenience. I can’t really support such Idea.

Legendary weapons can be hidden now!
No excuse anymore for not giving ‘hide mounts’-option
No thanks to unidentified weapons.

Well I can revert it also, one of your topics says ‘should I quit the game’?

I hate dumbing down a game, (especially one with already good controls, layouts etc). If Anet dumbs the game even more down (see New player experience), should I quit the game as well? What works for one doesn’t work for the other.

For someone so hardcore busy with ranger builds i’m amazed, that is important for you. I mean, typing this wall of texts hurts my fingers more then pressing 1 in game (this is not a joke). But we are both doing it nonetheless. Are we gonna ask Microsoft or another company to fix keayboard, typing right now, so our fingers don’t hurt anymore?

Asking for QoL improvement is no problem. But once it goes, that you dumb down (remove advanced gameplay) to only get the ‘easy way’ implemented, then that’s for players like me a bridge to far.

I rather have an option open all inventory loot bags. Clicking mouse hurts more (and is mechanicly more fragile then keyboard). This would not dumb the game down, help everyone, and help your mouse. Without any dumbing down at all. With such suggestion I would give them a warm welcome. But once you talk about killing (weither small or not) features, to implement something (here it is flexibilty of where to use the heal). Your suggestion would also cause other issues. If skill 3-5 (pretty good to use skills) are off cooldown, how do you ‘end’ this channel at nr 1? It will require different method then currently in the game, and one thing Anet has said they want is as uniform as possible game, so that people faster learn the game. (like why they dont nerf different in different game mode. They want it that if you are used to 5k damage on clusterbomb in pvp, that you will see same amount in pve.)

I know it’s not cool to have someone oppose your ‘brilliant’ idea, but for me the current status (minus the landing of the heal) is brillant, and your change is less brilliant, so i gotta speak my opinion/mind. It’s still up to the devs to decide.

Fun fact: I got a mechanic disorder in my fingers. Takes more time to learn for me then other players. But in the end I seem to have less issues then other players here.

It’s against GW2’s design philosophy to have targetted healing or support. Arenanet have been avoiding dedicated healers this whole time because they didn’t want support to be party window whack-a-mole. What makes the Druid acceptable is that while it is a dedicated healer, it’s not ignoring what the enemies are doing. Solar Beam and the Whisp are targetted so the Druid has to look at character models more than the party window. It’s heavily positioning based so as to create player communication or at least make the Druid care about their teammates, not their healthbars.

Lifeshroud is not something we’re in constantly and all of its skills are untargetted or self-centered AoEs. An ally targetted AoE just doesn’t work.

Throw ally healthbars ingames and I don’t see how it’s any different to click on a low health ally for autoaimed healing then it is to click on a low health enemy for autoaimed damage. If the whole game used free targeting I’d understand but it doesn’t.

yeah CF 1 is weird.

I don’t like even using it. The aoe placement is bound to miss. I wish something could change with how it works in the very least.
