Hi guys, i don’t know what runes to use on thief, he has now, a full berserker ascended gear, with rune of scholar, but i cant get out from some fights, i die to fast, so i need your opinion, i will not, change the ascended gear, to marauder so you know:).What do you think about Scrapper runes? Thank You!

Marauder gear and scholar runes. Even if you won’t do marauder, it’s still the best.

you’re running glass cannon. You’re going to die fast no matter what. Runes aren’t going to help you.

Sure I melt in seconds, but I’m only thinking of damage to buff surprise attacks.

Even not in pve, IP is beautiful. I run a thief that takes every healing source possible combined with 100% crit rate, and I can facetank camps in wvw because of the stupid amount of healing I can get away with.

Stealth can be your friend in this case. SA saves my butt so many times. Mara trinkets, zerker weps and valk arm. Some say that pure stealth isn’t viable but i’m a noob at D/D and sucked vs other thieves or D/D’s but this gives me a fighting chance.

I am talking in WvW, i don’t care about pve!

Best option sounds like making the armor marauder, least amount of drop in dps that way.

Options losing you some more dps include:
1. Valk armor / weapons / trinkets to your liking.
2. Durability runes

Switch your armor to Valk. You lose a bit of precision but that attribute has big diminishing returns over 40% anyway. Valk armor and Zerk jewelry is essentially Marauder with less expense.

In addition to that change, I run Exuberance rather than Scholar. You lose that big shot up front but you have better damage through the fight and another 2k health to buffer shots and condi. Exuberance gets overlooked but with Valk armor it synergizes nicely for a big bump in power and precision.
