Whether you are a scrub wanting to afk outside your favorite keep without being pestered by a thief or an experienced thief wanting to raise a baby thief abomination of your own, [Teef] welcomes all. [Teef] is a guild dedicated in the instruction and training of noobs into seasoned thief-slapping players as well as the promotion, bumping and discussion of various topics within the Thief Forums.

With the active alliance with [OMFG], [Teef] is learning off of their success and thus redesigned (stole) our ranks based on their ranks. Nice and clean. When posting for membership make sure you specify which one you are.

1.) Representing is not required. As this guild is primarily meant to help train players, rep is optional (although some rep would be nice).

2.) Drama and severe ignorance is not tolerated. If you are not willing to learn from someone experienced in the thief profession or you are not willing to learn in general, then you are not welcome in the guild. That simple.

3.) Follow the ToS.

4.) Events held are optional but again, being there would be nice.

I have played thief since launch, running a variety of unique power and Condi builds (some better than others, some becoming fairly popular). I have done a variety of 1vXs ranging from 1v2 to 1v5 (only counting full level 80s). I must warn, I get serious rage since my main build is a condition build that Ive played since January 2013 (00644 p/d condition thief, NOT perplexity), but I’m also good with my s/d and d/d thief builds
Now, being a component thief, many people have asked me a variety of questions, from “Oscuro, what is the best thief build?” (Thief is so great there is no “best”) or “Oscuro, what is the best way to learn thief?” (Roam with a good thief and get practice. Fueling is a great way to get better). However, my most cherished question is “Oscuro, how many people have you 1vXd at a single time?”, to which I reply “I have fought 1v5, but my greatest accomplishment was me and osc 2 [another thief] doing a 2v17”.
I know many may be skeptical of my claim, but I can thoroughly tell them to kitten off, like a true thief does to all those hate whispers

Experience: I have about 3-4 months of WvW exp with my thief (D/D almost exclusively), but became much more serious when I moved on to spvp. While I am not the best thief in the world I have given lessons to players who were new to thief, and helped them find an appreciation for the class as a whole. I am looking to pass on what knowledge I do have as well as expand upon what I know.

IGN: Lokí (í = alt + 0237)

Playstyle: sPvP (Mostly) / PvE (Sometimes) / WvW (Rarely)

Server: Sanctum of Rall

Experience: My thief is my first and main character, and I have been playing him since early access and the pre-launch betas. I’ve played the game on and off since release, having only around 2500 hours total in game time (I don’t afk). About 1800 of those hours are on my thief, with a majority of that time in sPvP.

While I consider it a bit arrogant to claim myself to be “high-class”, I feel it is safe to say I know how to play a thief and how to play it well in all formats due to my experience and sPvP focus with the game. I win most of my 1v1s on a thief (especially against other thieves) and I almost never die in a match anymore. I’m also well versed in all of the main builds and weapon sets for the thief.

I’ve also spent some time helping newbie players learn pvp and specific builds, albeit not always on a thief specifically. I’ll leave it up to the leaders of the guild to decide if I’m fit enough to help other players, but I’m mainly joining so I can learn myself. I feel there is always room to improve, and I would love an opportunity to play with some other experienced thieves and learn from them. Of course, if it is found that I am fit to help others, I’ll be more than happy to share my knowledge to those who ask. Though, I find that, like with most things, the best teacher is experience, and having actual 1-on-1 duels and instruction will help more than any answer to a question about theory or mechanics.

mmm… been in T1/2/3 on various servers. Usually solo roaming or running around with my guild group. Lots of gvging.

I started off as a condi PD teef (ewwwww! but to be fair it was pre-perplex!!) for about… 3 monthsish? 15 months as a DD power teef, lots of roaming / guild group running / gvgs. SD for a few months but that set makes me dizzy… then sPVP (mostly on the chinese server > <) with DP for about… 5 monthsish?

Now im back on NA T2 running around whacking people.

I am fairly new to the game in general, as though I bought the game quite a while ago, I only recently began playing in earnest. When just starting, I played a condi d/d thief. However, I felt I wasn’t learning anything since basically I was just spamming 3 to kill everything. More recently I’ve been playing power d/p and swapping to p/d when getting bored. So far my Cocokury is only level 46, but by far my favorite character to play. I already have a guild I feel loyal to, but Teef seems like a good chance to become better at a class I enjoy the most, and through that help my guild even more.

I’m relatively new. About 9 weeks in according to daily log-in rewards. Thief is the only profession I’ve ever played. Began with condi/stealth builds, but have recently changed to power builds. Always playing around with different weapon sets, still trying to find what I like. Right now, using a 6/0/0/3/5 with d/p and s/d build. Eagerly awaiting the specialization changes so I can settle into a build.

I used to live and breath Thief until the nerfs for the sake of PvP balance started affecting my PvE experience. I’ve run different types of builds as I find it fascinating trying to find what build works for me. I’ve used S/D+P/P 50036 for as long as I can remember and I despise stealth with a passion. It’s unnecessary and very limiting and promotes bad game play all around. I might be a little rusty in my Thief since I have been training with my Medi Guardian, but I can still put up a good fight.

I opened that box of armour on my teef, I look pretty kitten kitten now in my legacy medium set.

I’m pretty sure I never said kitten kitten, must be a filter. I also have skins for the exact same set of armour which doesn’t make much sense. I guess if I want I can make another set look that way, it does look awesome btw, big skill on my shoulder and pro[er cool ninja mask and that

I wish i still had a smart phone or some form of camera so I could show you. it’s an item you get with the digital edition now, I could have paid a little more an got a bunc more stuff like golem bankers and that but I just wanted the cheaperst copy, wasn’t bothered about extras. enjoying poisoning the kitten out of everything then using that jump attack as a finisher, also using my didge, I can take out groups of 3 enemies no problem while taking minimum damage, think I’m gonna like this class.

Experience with thief: I main guardian so I don’t have played thief too much (something like 200hr+) but I find it pretty fun.
I run only S-D/Sb because I don’t like the way thief can abuse their stealth mechanics, expecially when they rely on condi to deal dmg (sad scrub).
Even if I’m new I think to be pretty decent on thief expecially when is about 1v1.

You should probably just ask for some help from some of the higher ranked people in the guilds (gankmasters and such).

If they’re not rep’ing just send them a whisper saying you’re from the TEEF guild want some help when they have time…

My thief has been my main since I’ve started Gw2 months ago, with around 400 hours in thief (with around 600 hours playtime) I have been PvEing for the most part.
I’ve learned to use all weapon sets and most utility skills (hardly ever used traps aside frm shadow trap), and am used to switching out weapons, utilities, traits on the fly to match the situations in PvE.
I hardly PvP with my thief, aside from having fun with S/D. I’m fairly new to WvW, having transferred with my guild to my current server from a t7 server, and is now very eager to learn more about the thief in WvW and in extension, PvP, to be of help to my guildies as a main thief in a WvW team.
