No, improv properly changes for when you don’t have daredevil speced, but the issue is that with daredevil speced you have a 16.67% chance of recharging any given skill type, with at best, a 16.67% chance of not recharging anything, since theres 6 skill types and only 5 utility slots. Its a minor nerf in % chance to recharge a given skill type and arguably a moderate nerf to the trait overall.
honestly they should just change it to randomly recharge one of your utility skills meaning one of the spots on the bar. 20% chance for each slot, but always useful.
Dunno why they keep this trait as super RNG yet they complained about Ricochet being too RNG and removed it completely, breaking dozens of hearts. So hypocritical.
This is a nerf…. not a buff… thanks devs…one more reason to try another game/class

The newest patch actually did something 100% positive for the Thief!!! No nerfs at all!!!
It only has to do with the Daredevil, but it’s a start! :-DPs. Well, that was the only documented change for the Thief. So be on the lookout for ghost changes… like the one that removed the ability to keep stolen items from pre-match.
I’m sorry I can’t share in your enthusiasm – fixing things to work the way they say they work isn’t a buff, it’s simply Anet doing their job.
As others have pointed out, it actually works out to a nerf, with a lower % chance the lines you have equipped are reset. That’s not to say they shouldn’t have fixed it, just that they should have foreseen this issue when they planned on adding a new line to thief and tweaked Improv accordingly.
On a sidenote, why is withdraw still missing its 10% buff?

It’s a nerf for DD builds that don’t use physical skills.. which are all of mine. This sucks.

it wouldn’t be game breaking at all. It would procure on skills that u have not used as well. Just the slot itself would activate, meaning if the skill isn’t on cooldown, you don’t see a benefit. If you slot all venoms (which is dumb) at most you would yolo burst and then get guaranteed access to one more venom. And yes if it produces to much condi pressure and your opponent dies, SO BE IT! It’s supposed to be a “grandmaster” trait. It should feel strong. With the state of other classes at this point I get so confused as to why people post stuff like “um I think it might be a bit much”. Yeah dude! Thieves need “a bit much” right now.

I hope they either reverse this ill thought out change, or just rework it entirely. Favorite “grandmaster” trait… but not useful anymore.
Can we at least get a dev to tell us why they nerfed us again?

it is actually huge nerf (25% basically), can’t believe they still managed to nerf thief…. it is like beating dead horse skeleton
