My Warrior Build
Using 2 axes & a Rifle or Bow
I recently purchased the official GW2 guide and this is what I am doing since reading it.
PVE Skills [the 6 7 8 9 0 keys] my keys are changed to Q E R T X for ease of my game play.
Q is Mending for Healing ( Heal myself and two conditions 3816)
E is For Great Justice ( Fury 8 seconds 20% critical / power @ 89 & condition damage @ 89 with radius 600)
R is Frenzy ( able to take 50% more damage) Breaks stun & adds quickness
T is Bulls Charge ( Damage 239, 2 second knockdown, Leap, range 600)
X is Signet of Rage ( 30 seconds @ 147 power & condition damage) 20% critical & 33% quickness
PVE Traits Focus on Discipline, Arms & remaining points in Defense while gear focus’ on Power/Precision/Critical.
Example: Arms 30pts, Defense 10 pts and Discipline 30 pts.
WvW & sPvP
Q is Healing Surge ( Adrenaline 10 with stacked healing (1) 4028 (2) 4661 (3) 5718)
E is Bolas ( Immobilize 4 seconds with damage 80 in a physical projectile with range of 900)
R is Frenzy (able to take 50% more damage) Breaks stun & adds quickness
T is Stomp ( Damage 239, Blowout 450, Radius 240, in the form of a blast)
X is Battle Standard Banner for WvW (Stability able to ignore control effects e.g. stun, knockback, launch, knockdown, sink, float, fear, daze) 20% critical, Might & Condition damage are 30 with a blast radius @ 600. Grants Fury, Might and swiftness to allies. [Shake it Off for sPvP] Cure a condition on myself & nearby ally, breaks stun with a 600 radius
WvW Traits Focus on Discipline, Arms & Remaining points in Defense. Gear focus Power/Precision/Critical for stats and gemstone/rune upgrades.
Example: Arms 30pts, Defense 10 pts and Discipline 30 pts.
Please Note: I have not done WvW yet, but this is my current plan for when I do at level 80.
If any experienced WvW pvp’rs have advice, I am more than open. I’m using this for sPvP.
Dungeons
For this I will visit the Warrior Trainer in Lions Arch and for a few silver and some copper I can reallocate my traits.
Trait reallocation to promote Toughness, vitality & healing. Defense 30 pts/Tactics 30 pts/Strength10 pts
Q is Healing Signet (passive regeneration with an active heal of 2338)
I use the signet because I do dungeons with my husband who is a guardian focusing on healing buffs and this signet compliments that well. Another option is to use the stacked healing surge.
E is Endure Pain (Take NO damage from attacks, and it breaks stun)
T is Dolyak Signet Passively reduces damage and actively gives you stability.
R is Frenzy (able to take 50% more damage) breaks stun & adds quickness
X is Battle Standard (Stability able to ignore control effects e.g. stun, knockback, launch, knockdown, sink, float, fear, daze) 20% critical, Might & Condition damage are 30 with a blast radius @ 600. Grants Fury, Might and swiftness to allies.
Gear: Toughness, Condition Damage, Vitality
Signets: The passive on a signet means that even if you don’t push the key it’s assigned to it gives you that passive benefit. Active means that you get the active benefit when you press the key it’s assigned to.
