I think it was the day after that, that we delt with the likes of TC zergs in places like pangloss on one side. Only to be attacked by DB zergs on the other side. Which, if you had your tinfoil hats on…would mean that we were being 2v1’d by TC & DB of their choosing. Personally, id say it was just a coincidence that the three of us ended up there at the same time.

I actually think it would be funny if we grouped up with TC for a day. Split that map down evenly. DB would see a type of pain that would be with them for a long long time. But it just wont happen. We like to fight each other too darn much,(TC & FA) we wouldnt last 20 minutes before one of us or both of us were sneaking in behind to get an advantage in on the other.

But the “tin hats” will always see it that way, no matter what.

Once you sniff out the spy, and we have some talented folks on TC who do this, they become actually really useful …. In so many ways. Particularly if they don’t realize you know.

After DB’s SEA guilds logged out on Wednesday, both FA and TC went after us hammer and tong, largely ignoring each others’ territory. We were pushed nearly to zero PPT as FA and TC attacked us and only us in tandem on all maps. On EB that night, TC and FA split the map down the middle and didn’t attack each other at all until close to 2am EST on Thursday morning. I even saw some players /dancing with each other near our towers, and no towers or camps changed hands between FA and TC after we were pushed back to Lowlands.

That being said, 2v1 is a valid strategy and this kind of play was clearly intended to occur, as per the devs’ choices in map design and match architecture (e.g. 1v1v1 as opposed to 1v1 or 1v1v1v1). It’s not worth whining about, but it’s also silly to pretend it never happens. We’ve all done it at some point, so to suggest that this has never happened, or couldn’t happen is just absurd.

2v1? This again? Good lord, you weren’t able to take back your Garrison for 38+ hours. It didn’t just get waypointed, it got fully upgraded. It didn’t fall until FA took the rest of the map despite every coverage spot getting a shot at it and a full queue for you. I.E. Stop with the 2v1 excuse, it’s silly. The fact that this happened in the first place is your real issue.

Actually on EB last night…I was one of the Mesmers portaling golems around n such. I wouldnt call it “working together” as much as losing golden opportunities. We fought TC when the time was right. We didnt give away chances of gaining points, but just nilly willy attacking red names as we saw fit. Now as Im saying this, I wasnt a commander or leading anyone. This is just how I saw it and how the build up to battles came across on teamspeak.

We seem to do well for the most part on a zerg vs zerg basis. But we cant match TC spot for spot, map for map….as far as people and resources go. Even more so if DB was in the game at a higher population count. And that there is your peoples problem, not ours. If your people dont show for the fight, or defense. Then it becomes a scramble for the other two sides to get the easier points to gain from…. rather than bumping heads and gaining less.

Its not us working together. Its both servers using their brains and getting their jobs done. As for seeing TC/FA dancing together….or not fighting. Um…hello, its TC, they roleplay…they Yak parade…..ect ect… Sometimes, just sometimes….even the enemy needs to blow off some steam. I got 14% of the world completed…barely anything done in pve. All my time goes into WvW. So when I need a break….goofing off with the enemy sometimes helps out. Or oh lets see……a friendly duel or two now and then. TC’s cookies and FA’s Army grade coffee goes well now and then.

But dont think that means we are buddies or such. We will be killing each other and playing dirty tricks as soon as the coffee buzz wears off.

Ah what the hell….I cant keep it a secret folks. TC paid us off to work with em. They are the Lanisters….what can I say. We gave in, you caught us red handed…. Guilty as charged.

Not being able to take back Garrison was pretty ridiculous, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t an actual 2v1 going on in the larger sense. There’s still no excuse for not being able to take it back with a full queue (which we had rather often), but that doesn’t mean TC didn’t get a little strategic help from FA this week. If FA hadn’t been on board with a double team, I’m not sure TC would have won this matchup. But that’s just my opinion and I’m sure residents of both servers will disagree.

I can’t speak for everyone of course, but I’m not complaining about 2v1, I’m just saying that it did happen and the deniers are being silly. TC and FA decided (independently or not doesn’t really matter to me) they wanted DB to finish last, so they focused us. That’s fine, stuff happens. Anyone who has been playing WvW for more than a week or two has experienced a 2v1, and most of us will again.

you were focused because you didnt show. Que or no Que….you just didnt have the numbers half the time to keep either side from running willy nilly to the easier kills. This will happen to any tier and any server….if a weakness is shown….the other two will go for it. If half of FA didnt show up this week and it was TC/DB running strong. You better believe the results would have been the same, except it would be you DB that was supposedly siding with TC. If more people understood this…the whole 2v1 issue would be a moot point. Hell it is a moot point.

I… What? Often no one can win without another server’s “help” in this tier because the three servers are so closely matched… it has been like that in T2 for a while.

It seems strange to me that it’s okay to say that FA and TC are fundamentally incapable of double teaming another server for more than 20 minutes, but advancing the notion that all three of us have ‘teamed’ with other servers at some point is met with incredulity and derision. I’m not trying to take anything away from TC’s win by describing some of the factors that contributed to it. I’m sure most of you have already chosen not to believe this, but I actually don’t lay DB’s loss entirely at the feet of the 2v1 between Wednesday and Thursday. In my mind, we had a chance to win right up until the point TC started completing upgrades on our garrison.

1)To be fair, we’ve been consistently double teamed (in the strategic sense, not necessarily in open-field fights) since yesterday’s SEA shift ended. Apparently us ticking 500 for a few hours and almost catching TC rustled some jimmies… :P
Not complaining about it, just saying it happened. Hell, we double teamed FA the other night because they gave up stonemist to TC in order to fully defend Anz from our zerg. Once that happened our commander was like "kitten this, I’m going for FA the rest of the night!"
