This is the truth for about 90% of SOR. Yes we have a few who might take things WAY too seriously but most of us really don’t care about being in Tier 1. If anything I’ve heard more than a few on SOR express some concern about not letting being in Tier 1 become the end all be all for us in WvW.

I have had a lot of fun the past couple weeks and really enjoy the competition in T1. Thank You JQ for bringing the fight giving us a challenge and my hats of to SOS. You guys impressed me when you turned the entire map red a few days ago. I really didn’t care about getting to T1 until the matches got very lopsided and boring in T2, now that we are here and the queues seem fixed, it awesome!

IMHO, Posters disrespecting servers should be removed from the forums but that is up to the moderators.

JQ has been a competitive server in tier 1 a long time and should be congratulated for the effort.
SoS did exceptionally well at collecting PPT over an 11 week period in T1 and should be congratulated for the effort.
SoR has always been a strong server and is currently very competitive in T1 and should be congratulated for their efforts.

The guild I am in has shifted focus from 10-18 hr PPT maintenance sessions to include many more open field combat guild outings.

It is not courage, cowardice, broken morale or some evil servers actions causing this change. The GM simply realised that the guild is comprised of gamers seeking to enjoy a game, that is all.

Personally I love the new aggressive open field combat runs especially against opponents of the standard of JQ, BG and SoR.

Late last night SoS appeared to collapse and it looked like they have fallen out of the competition and will be in tier 2 next week . While JQ went on a rampage dominating every map. I had a few people tell me that JQ does that every late night. For those in SoR who think that just reaching tier 1 is end game I’d say now it’s seeing how long we can last there. I know my old WvW guild is on Crystal Desert and their goal is to reach tier 1 so it should be interesting to see the competition we have in coming months.

Yeah I noticed a big change with SOS last night. With the exception of ND guild, I never seen anyone from there. As an oceanic from JQ, most nights, even this week I was regularly getting outmanned buff. But last night it felt like a 1v1. Hope it was just a one off. I like the challenge of being outnumbered.

Let’s summarize all the bullkitten

JQ did some recruiting of guilds, this isn’t a kittening secret ppl. It just so happens that it went well and the server =d profit

SoS is doing the thing to where the activity level is fluctuating. Yes, this happens on servers as well, but have you see anyone leave the server?? Nah, probably not, maybe a couple of people here and there, but nothing to send out huge alarms.

SoR…pretty well balanced during NA prime for coverage and are somewhat strong in other places

As far as zerging accusations toward any guild, can’t you say that about any server? There are a lot of commanders on each and everyone of your kittening servers out there that have PLENTY of ppl that follow them. Why is this Jed? I’ll tell you why, it’s because people like to follow these team leads. They try to bring entertainment and JOY to a kittening video game. kitten who would of thought, that we all purchased this game for an entertainment purpose. All of you from all three servers on here either sucking each other off or trying to verbally punch each other in the dick on the forums just need to stop and just say good game. You are all getting volatile as hell and I’m ashamed to be apart of this GW2 community.

This bears reposting, as it seems that some peeps were crying too hard to have noticed it the first time. Seriously, get a grip. It’s a game, we’ve all been through ups and downs in WvW since the game launched. We’ve all been the underdog. This is especially true coming from JQ since BWE1. It’s our turn now, simple as that, but it doesn’t mean it will ALWAYS be. Focus on staying in Tier 1 for the long haul.

Wvwvw is not only about killing the most players, a lot of others things occurs that influence the outcome:

-Morale, jq get a big morale boost after the transfer but also because they took revenge on the 9 weeks lost on sos. Well SOS get somehow depressed by not being the number 1 anymore.

-knowing other servers strength and weakness. I can tell you jq has not 24 hours coverage, being in ca i generally log @ 9pm and there are no queue anywhere. Even yesterday i was on sor bl following and emp commander with 5 others guys. There was 25+ sor in front of us but they never move from their fort to take hills

-having h24 commanders on all maps helps, i think its amazing to always find a commander on all maps and i never see nobody complain on the leader on jq side even when we lost.

-recruitment/reputation. Like all mmo people will quit playing and new will join, attracting these people to your server is part of the wvw game. I laugh when SOS and Bg got surprise that sbi guilds join jq and sor after wm and his alliance went to kain, well jq never make a silly video taunting other server from famous guild they post on the off forum (ja hb and agg did)

If you think JQ has no challenger you make a mistake, after 5 months of wvw who can have ever predict all the outcome? Hod going down, kain being in t2… There will always be new challenger and here is the fun to do wvw.

Had a blast in EB tonight. I tip my hat to Chiooppa. He’s one hell of a commander. Managed to get everything I need for map completion except 1 vista and we came very close to getting that.

I’ve never met an SBI player that didn’t dislike JQ (sorry but it’s true). There was very little if any respect for you guys on our end. It’s not that you guys attacked us, it’s that you rarely if ever attacked SoS. This is where the impression came that you guys only fought for second place.

I’m not mad… to me this is like saying the sky is blue. It was just the nature of your server.

I was on SBI before the end of free transfers, and I did not/do not ‘dislike’ JQ. They did nothing to deserve lack of respect, and they did nothing to make me dislike them. They liked to attack us, sure. But some of my favourite moments in WvW are of trying to stop a JQ zerg going to flip pangloss literally every tick, or the constant back and forth. When I was commanding, It was always a lot of fun to bounce back-and-forth with JQ, we attack them they attack us, both of us could care less about what SoS did; we were enjoying ourselves.

To me, the people who complained about JQ ‘playing for 2nd’ or constantly claimed that ‘JQ doesn’t belong in T1, SoS are carrying them’, were the people who became accustomed to roflstomping enemy zergs with WM or LoD and were tired of having to fight a hard fight.

This is the biggest misconception I see in this thread. SOR actually has a very large SEA/EU team. It’s at least as big as JQs. during this time, JQ has 1 zerg, and then like 10 people watching each map while the zerg rolls around and takes everything/defends. It’s not our fault you lack this simple coordination. But speaking of PvD, Ive been on JQ BL since I started playing 2~ hours ago. And theres maybe 20 JQ people on this map. While I see 50+ SOR.

EMP has like 10~ people here, same as they did 2 hours ago when I logged on. Unless the people not repping a guild in TS are EMP or members of EMP are not on TS, but I only see 7 [EMP] on it. Which is pretty normal for this time of day.

Actually this is pretty normal for this time of day for JQ. The things people say about JQ Q’s being 24/7 are pretty much a lie. Theres really only a Q for EB like 50% of the time, (which is normal cause pugs basically just group up there and dont care about anything else) and Q’s for all BLs during a few hours in the afternoon NA time. But we do generally have a zerg running around 1 of the maps, so generally 1 of the BL maps has a Q and the others have like 10 people.

It isn’t enough. Most of the JQ pugs do whatever and don’t follow commanders or log on TS in the afternoon NA time. If I had to say one thing is JQs biggest weakness, it’s the total lack of Teamspeak use by 75% of the people in WvW. But, should the masses ever figure out that TS is amazing and that they should be using it, watch out, JQ would suddenly win T1 by double what it wins now.

EMP actually did amazing for having 20-30 people to fight against you with. How long did it take your 50+ people to take over the map against 20-30 again? (I’m not sure how many were actually there, but they were saying 20-30 on TS)

Fear, TW, hitting bay, and then Tysm and VoTF hitting hills. We would teleport to one keep, wipe you, teleport to the other, wipe the other server. Back and forth back and forth until the both of you gave up and left the map.

Then later TW, and Fear show up again, and this time you clearly outnumbered us (and dont give me any bullkitten about this one. Your zerg in hills clearly had at least 20 more people than we did, and you were hitting bay at the same time) and we still held for ages. And while you were doing this, we took bay and hills on your borderlands (because you had sent so many people to our BL rather than defend your own home)

All this talk of JQ pvdooring, but the only time SoR ever seems to take anything is when we’re outnumbered by miles. Ofc they then come brag about it on the forums, and then to top it off complain that we’re outnumbering them! It’s hilariously laughable.

I honestly cannot count the number of times today that noodles would broadside a zerg, kill 20+ people in the first skills, and then not 30 seconds later, another zerg, just as, if not larger, than ours would rush us. And then you have the absolute gall to talk about open field fights as if they were some end-all measure of skill. Spoiler alert: your own numbers were winning you most of those open field engagements, not any individual or team skill. You werent portal bombing, stacking, ambushing, or anything that requires more co-ordination than “follow the commander” you were rushing forward and winning by sheer force of numbers.

Go watch tysm sometime. They actually engage zerg fights with a bit of thinking. I know when tysm is attacking us because it comes out of nowhere. With SoR it’s always “Oh hey, look at the 60 people making a mad dash towards us. I bet they’ll brag about winning this fight later even though they’ve got double our numbers”

Our EBG queue was 10 minutes long, even when we were holding mendons/anz and attacking the overlook.

Hell I dont even know why I expected any change in SoR. Back when I was fighting you from fort aspenwood months ago you were the exact same. We all used to joke that the most arrogant players had all somehow wound up on the memorial server. But hey, whatever, I guess T1 doesnt actually change servers.

Probably gonna get an infraction for this post. But someone had to lay down the truth.

For all you members in tysm, VoTF, and the rest of SoS, keep fighting the good fight.
For those of you in Choo, keep running those pain trains on EBG (and maybe dont kill my yaks so much ;__;)
For the rest of you (and TW especially) maybe take a step back and re-evaluate yourselves.

You mean ‘’Bull Rush’’ tactic didn’t work ?

Im not exactly sure what you mean. But Noodles was ambushing your zerg, killing half of you in the opening few moments, and then a second zerg that still outnumbered us would stroll in from offscreen. Our options were either never fight zerg to zerg (impossible) or deal with the fact that you’d have twice our numbers, and take as many of you down as we could.

As much as I can assure you that you guys would be welcomed into our tier with open arms, we’re having a blast with Blackgate and Kaineng right now and would really like to savor it while it lasts. It’ll be bittersweet for us, so if possible would you guys belay that from happening for a couple of weeks (if it’s going to happen)?

I don’t know that i would say EMP or even JQ is the best at open field combat. pound for pound the best i have fought so far would be MERC, and a long way back War-machine.

Tonight we had some great fights and defense from all partys in JQB. ill tip my hat to you all for fliping our garrison well played.

i guess i wont mention the fact we held it off for over 2 hours with a handful of pugs very little supply and like 3 arrow carts and two omega golems.

Waaay to ironic to see someone from SoS complaining about coverage after they won 9 weeks because of that o.O, now that we were able to even it… it’s suddenly unfair!
