I just find it amusing that you, a Jade Quarry player, are complaining about being out-manned during NA prime-time.

Because oddly enough we do actually get outnumbered in prime time. You’ve apparently been too bought in by your own servers propaganda. Do a quick headcount the next time you fight JQ. You’d be surprised how few people we’re actually fielding.

hell those posts about SoR taking our whole borderlands over the weekend? I was there, we straight up had the outmanned buff over our heads for a majority of that day.

Dont put a lot of faith in the stuff you read regarding JQ’s numbers. Maybe we field more than SoR or SoS over the course of 24 hours. But we’re easily outnumbered during prime times.

It’s just that during those prime times where we are outnumbered, SoR likes to hoot and holler and claim that they’re beating back uncountable hordes, when anyone who can do quick addition knows they’re the side with the most numbers at the time ;p

Yet that doesnt mean it was right of TW to message every one of our leaders/commanders stating how bad we are which clearly isnt the case seeing as we held most of our JQB better then any other NA Prime so far in this bracket.

To bring another point, why do you think we would ever partake in open field combat when we have over 7 fortifications to defend on our own borderlands with stuff we had prebuilt? Sorry but I’d rather have you guys come to us at our defense hence the functionality of forts. Maybe they help hold PPT? Who would have known.

Sometimes its not all about the field fights and flipping faster then other servers. Maybe a defense game is best sometimes.

Swich the odds, lets see SoR start with a fully upgraded map against JQ’s best pushing guilds.

EMP had such a great night today! However, due to how much trolling we have received from TW, we have pretty much lost all respect for your guild. You don’t see us adding players, privatly messaging commanders with threatening remarks do you? Its sad that even the main leader of TW had to go out of his way to message me? lol well I was on this morning, with maybe a total of 5 TW even on, so I’d like to know where this “even” numbers is. Maybe with a bunch of pugs and random guilds, but not even close to even numbers. Or perhaps we should talk about the 5 different ways you failed to take a paper tower at briar on JQ BL. First catas, fail, rams, fail, trebs on middle island vista, fail, 2 golems, fail. On top of it all, you easily outnumbered us, considering half the time we were popping the outmanned buff.

I dunno what’s funnier, the fact that you’re just copying exactly what all T1 guilds are running with their bull rushing tactics, or the fact that your guild is massive compared to TW and you’re trying to claim even numbers on any level. I’m honestly curious if you still get all shaken up and nervous in TS when things start getting rough.

PS: Can’t wait to see this video so it shows there was literally only like 5-6 TW with a bunch of random pugs and you call it wiping TW. I was even saying Indo went afk at the wrong time because you guys showed up right after he went afk and you were struggling to take a camp against pugs…

Yes I was being sarcastic. Given how many times SoR posts about being superior PvP and Open field while knowing that coverage matters more I don’t see why they keep bragging.

You want even numbers? No Queue on our own borderlands:
Fear, TW, hitting bay, and then Tysm and VoTF hitting hills. We would teleport to one keep, wipe you, teleport to the other, wipe the other server. Back and forth back and forth until the both of you gave up and left the map.

Then later TW, and Fear show up again, and this time you clearly outnumbered us (and dont give me any bullkitten about this one. Your zerg in hills clearly had at least 20 more people than we did, and you were hitting bay at the same time) and we still held for ages. And while you were doing this, we took bay and hills on your borderlands (because you had sent so many people to our BL rather than defend your own home)

All this talk of JQ pvdooring, but the only time SoR ever seems to take anything is when we’re outnumbered by miles. Ofc they then come brag about it on the forums, and then to top it off complain that we’re outnumbering them! It’s hilariously laughable.

I honestly cannot count the number of times today that noodles would broadside a zerg, kill 20+ people in the first skills, and then not 30 seconds later, another zerg, just as, if not larger, than ours would rush us. And then you have the absolute gall to talk about open field fights as if they were some end-all measure of skill. Spoiler alert: your own numbers were winning you most of those open field engagements, not any individual or team skill. You werent portal bombing, stacking, ambushing, or anything that requires more co-ordination than “follow the commander” you were rushing forward and winning by sheer force of numbers.

Go watch tysm sometime. They actually engage zerg fights with a bit of thinking. I know when tysm is attacking us because it comes out of nowhere. With SoR it’s always “Oh hey, look at the 60 people making a mad dash towards us. I bet they’ll brag about winning this fight later even though they’ve got double our numbers”

Super special funfact time:
We had no queue on any borderlands for at least 4 hours of primetime NA
Our EBG queue was 10 minutes long, even when we were holding mendons/anz and attacking the overlook.

Hell I dont even know why I expected any change in SoR. Back when I was fighting you from fort aspenwood months ago you were the exact same. We all used to joke that the most arrogant players had all somehow wound up on the memorial server. But hey, whatever, I guess T1 doesnt actually change servers.

Probably gonna get an infraction for this post. But someone had to lay down the truth.

For all you members in tysm, VoTF, and the rest of SoS, keep fighting the good fight.
For those of you in Choo, keep running those pain trains on EBG (and maybe dont kill my yaks so much ;__;)

Culling makes people think they have less than they do. Perhaps Anet should come up with a way to see how many teamates/enemies are within 3000 range or something so we can settle this for reals.

I was at the garrison when it was falling. Whats funny to me is the fact that we ( EMP ) have given and shown everyone respect and tried to promote some kind of relationship between servers versus the crap you seem to be spewing.

I could list a variety of reasons why we pulled off at least most of us ( yet again EMP).
Point in fact, you all did well you pushed we died and you took the map. I dont mind a little jab now and then but its just getting old.

EMP will continue to push in wvw with a number of our allies. Ty for all the great guilds both helping support us and to the other servers helping to keep us in business.

SoS is still the unofficial oceanic server. The ones leaving SoS are NA bandwagoners. No big loss. We’ll still likely head to tier 2 for a good time and a fairer match up though.

In fairness Stei, it seems to be predominantly only one guild on SoR that is doing this, no prizes for guessing which one that might be.

No I don’t believe the numbers are equal now, mainly because many of your core appears to have stopped playing as well as your fairweather players and you are losing significant guilds. Two went in the last 24 hours. I do find it rather sad that this has happened to your server. I hope things recover for you and you get more folks back into WvW.

Each time the forum warriors massively overestimate your servers numbers, take it as a compliment. I am proud that my 25-30 man guild group was often stated to be 50 strong by the forum warriors versions of events!

Please do not trash talk any people for moving servers, GMs choose to move so that guild members continue to enjoy them selves, no crime in that.

As to those moving off SoS, farewell, good luck to you all and thanks for fighting alongside us while you were here!

Despite our recent transfers, imho i wouldn’t say we have big numbers per se. Our members are still putting in overtime in wvw day in and out to maintain a decent ppt like we did pre transfers. I’d also say that BG(atleast the current one) has the numbers to rival.

Does this mean you will guild vs guild with us if we ask? Or are you just saying JQ has the most dominant prime time in the game? Personally, I think BG is better than JQ prime time and SoR is better than BG.

If SoR and BG have such dominant NA why is it that you didn’t take the PPT lead til about 10:30-11pm Eastern? That’s fairly late in NA prime for the “best” NA coverage to take a lead.

Aka 7:30-8pm Pacific. “NA prime” is a large time slot.
During the week there is a trend where each server PPT spiked at the same time each night. http://mos.millenium.org/servers/view/41/20 JQ’s Thursday push was hardcore.

I Think the “Prime times” overlap on the servers and what we are really seeing in point spikes are the coverage gaps on the opposing servers rather than domination.

JQ ~ 7-11 GMT
SOS ~ 0-5 GMT
SOR ~15-22 GMT

Peak magnitudes are obviously not equal.

If that’s true its a stroke of genius on ArenaNet’s behalf. If people are prepared to spend gems to ensure a win ArenaNet are probably wondering what took themselves so long to stop free transfer.

In any event I’m sure the healthier part of the SoS community are grateful to be rid of the drama queens. It’s always been the unofficial Oceanic server and as far as I know will continue to be so. SoS won’t die the way HoD did and will always maintain a strong community.

As a player from SoS I would like to see us drop down a tier, I see no point in playing against such a stacked server. Not when they can field twice as many players as we can. Its not exactly fun seeing a JQ zerg ball of 40+ hitting Briar door when we have just a few defenders.

But then to come in the forums, pound their chests and call it skill is taking it a bit far. “We are the best at open field combat!!” – not that modest are you?

Waaay to ironic to see someone from SoS complaining about coverage after they won 9 weeks because of that o.O, now that we were able to even it… it’s suddenly unfair!

There’s a difference between coverage and stacked to total domination. The games SoS won were mostly close games and thus why they were fun.
