Personally, I’m expecting a great week! I am glad that FA is on the upswing, they are some tough opponents, and I think everyone wanted a rematch. And fighting TC is a hoot.

YB here. See a great many of us actually have a lot of respect for certain other servers, even when they’ve beaten us – say TC or even CD. It seems obvious to me you’re confusing “hurt feelings” with contempt; While decidedly less cute, I do agree it should make for an interesting dynamic, and really more what true rivalries are based upon, dislike.

Yes I’m in PRO. The reason I didn’t answer was because he wasn’t asking it as a question, he was using it as a way to throw a veiled insult. (My original post was a simple observation and wasn’t insulting anyone in any way, yet he felt the need to include multiple insults).

Is this roleplaying or something? You know this is a game, right?
I understand competition but a server earning your respect and holding contempt for a server? – those are just databases. The people in them could be anyone in the world around you .. if you hold contempt for people you’ve never met before so easily, well I feel sorry for you.
Maybe you should take life a little less seriously. Personally, I respect any fellow human being unless they give me a good reason not to, quick judgements are usually the wrong way to approach a lot of things in my experience.

TC might be able to get enough people in WvW to keep it ahead of Yaks, but the content patch means we simply won’t have enough to challenge FA to any real degree. Oh well…

Gotta love the weekly forum soap opera… That said, I do think this is a very awesome matchup between 3 servers that kinda love to hate each other. Is there bad blood between Yak’s and FA? Yea probably, but that is what happens when you face the same people multiple times, and I think it is a very good thing for WvW. Not so much for the WvW forums though… quit arguing here and get out there and kill some sprites that have that other server’s names hanging above them. I promise you will all feel better if you do.

Conspiracy theory at work – but it seems so far that TC is going solely for FA and giving YB a free ride. In fact, YB is barely touching TC either.

Why do I say this?

Because in EB they didn’t touch each others supply camps at all, it was just both constantly attacking FA’s camps.

At the same time, TC took nothing in YB BL. And once TC took all of their own BL they didn’t attack YB at all, instead their zerg came to FA BL instead.

Similarly, YB has barely attacked anything but FA held stuff.

So right now it’s like 1 team (FA) versus 2 teams, as neither TC or YB have really attacked each other.

I was in EB attacking supply camps on both sides for several hours last night. TC defended theirs, you didn’t. And I guess that 3 hour siege where we eventually took Stonemist from TC doesn’t count as attacking them. /rolls eyes

Last night was tons of fun.
I missed a fraps of a nice 1v1 in the middle of the chaos though and I’m sad.
Looking forward to every prime time night we gave of this match up.

I hope we are backed into a corner at every turn this week. W3 is not fun without challenge. I for one have felt it. And it feels great. This morning we were fighting just to hold our ground in EB!

I’m becoming very disappointed in the way people in TC are acting, commanders with icons active telling people not to follow them since more people will cause swords to pop. If you don’t want people following you, turn off the icon. Then other people kicking people off siege when they are actively using it in defense. In general, the way people are treating each other is going way downhill.

I’m really enjoying this matchup so far! Guys who are hating on the rivalries… just stop. The rivalries between opposing guilds is just one of the little things that makes this so much fun. Anytime the Badgers see PRO they start foaming at the mouth and charge in. It’s great fun to watch.

TC do not be discouraged. Remember what our server is known for, RP! This means we have a lot of WvWer’s occupied with the Lost Shores event right now. Not to mention this weekend and next weekend = Thanksgiving.

We will do better after the Lost Shores event is over.

Keep your heads up guys, I promise. We will improve and put up a bigger fight. If we don’t win, than so what. We are merely T3, FA is a bandwagon server as someone else has mentioned, so they may the next BG (shooting up to T1). We will get there soon.

Also, Coral been stuck at work. Two days of double shifts back to back doesn’t help! Someday I will be able to WvW properly. I can’t wait to close that gap.

My brain was in auto fire mode only half paying attention so I didn’t realise it was happening at first, then I started trying to randomly move the shot around so you didn’t know where it was going to land.

Thanks for making the normally dull job of trebbing actually interesting for a change.

The Lost Shores event has an obvious impact on TC (just like the Halloween event did). No queue on Friday at 9pm PST (usually 2 hours), outmanned at 3pm PST Sat, and outmanned in the AM on Sat morning (doesn’t happen normally)

FA has a fair few more organised WvW guilds than TC does, and when you have those guilds in WvW despite events and holidays, it makes all the difference

For TC, expect our numbers to approach ‘normal’ again come Monday evening, after the event is finished.

That said, FA played a better offensive game Fri night in EB. I lacked reliable commanders to do much in the way of offense myself. We did hold Golanta for 5 and a half hours without loss, and lost Rogues once in that same time period. FA, when you took Klovan after we defended Golanta for 15-20min, I was annoyed. Good play by you, terrible play by us for not even having ‘1’ person sitting there to say ‘Hey, they’re building catapults by the wall.’

YB, I wish you folks would have begun trebbing SM a lot earlier in the night than you did…it would have applied more pressure to FA early on. We were waiting forever for you to start trebbing so we could assault from the south to help flip the castle.

I apologise for the icon commander who decided to take Anzalia ‘because there was nobody there’ while the rest of TC was focusing SM with you. Naturally you pulled off SM, and FA retained it. Foolish play by us, but not everyone understands tactics.

We lost everything in EB overnight after I logged at 6am. Not really too surprising, given the general level of disorganisation and lack of players.

Anyhow, we’ll see how the rest of the week progresses, especially once we move on from the weekend. And before we continue with the accusations of 2vs1…yep, in EB at least, whenever I’m there, we’ll be focusing FA so long as it’s evident you outnumber both TC and YB at most times of the day currently. I don’t believe or care about holding 2nd. All I care about is countering the points lead of the largest threat leading into Monday. And that’s FA ^^

We saw the blue-ing of EB while bunkering down in YB BL against PRO’s continuous assaults on our homefront. FA’s 24 hour coverage is really immense, I would salute to this – though I am dang proud of our team on the BL holding down both keeps and exterminating the pests off our turf.

/hats off to the team in Greenbriar last night who was trying to build a golem army inside and left one poor soul to guard it. He probably didn’t know what hit him and his golems.

Ahh, I wish FA would stop making strawmans…or saying that YB feel X or Y just because one random person from YB posted his personal opinion. We weren’t complaining when we beat you, we just found it sad that you guys got transfers mid match (which you still deny) and begged for transfers in every recruitment thread when we fought you lost times. Nothing wrong with transfers, but nobody likes them happening midmatch period.

Either way, enjoy your free win this week as you are playing against 2 servers that are PvE heavy compared to yours. I honestly held a lot of respect for FA, they are the only server I played against that are almost good as us skill wise…that, until I started reading their elitist posts on the form and generalizing crap about our server because 1 or 2 people complained….some people are still going on about the random guy who thought d/d ele’s were hacking. Do you really need to hang on to such a minor self esteem boost forever?

Oh well, now I’ll be accused of complaining since that’s FA’s broken record…well, one of their broken records.

Either way this match might’ve been more fun if YB and TC didnt lose half of their WvW population to new content, but let’s face, PvE and sPvP get new things constantly and WvW is becoming more and more of the same old stuff, so I understand.

Meh all the YB people are doing pve. What a bunch of kittens. Guess after so many tough matches people need a break. Last night, Aussie time, spent most of it holding YBBL from some impressive sized zergs. Tbh it got a bit exhausting.

Yeah yesterday night sure was fun!We are a very well organized guild that also loves to have fun we dont mind brawling or even sitting with the enemy around a campfire! Good matchup so far im having a blast!

The ‘stupid’ Lost Shores expansion has seem to effected this round. Seems FA vs. TC seems to have bad luck, with holiday events. Anyways I dont think any server had a Q for friday night. First 30 min FA BL had the outmanned buff, that is the first I have ever seen that.

I got to say though I really dont know why, last night was a blast, one of the best I spent in WvW so far, way better then any ‘world’ event given. People not in there are missing out.

If only they spent as much time on WvW as these dumb events imagine what it could be.

Anyways, really enjoying it, keep up the match all. Instead of all bickering lets be happy none of us are having a dead week with no resistance.

lol, blink exploits to take the bay

There was talk about mesmers using a blink exploit to climb the walls of bay. Perhaps someone on the opposite side can shed some light on this? This has been a really fun matchup and I’d hate to see it ruined with rumors of cheats and exploits.

Hello again [PRO], nice to see tag again. The launch and first weeks on gate of madness was fun, but TC has been much better over the last 4 weeks.

And this match is far from over. Stonemist is now TC and will be defended . Then, Sir, we will give them the bayonet!

Hey guys, great match up so far keep it up.

I usually just read the forums, but I wanted to explain what happened at the Bay.

There was a sizeable force (from FA) already attacking the south gate. So we went to the North East gate and started attacking it. We broke in just before a 20ish group of TC destroyed our cata’s and rams. We tried to fight them off once we were inside the outer wall but we got wiped, with the exception of our Mesmer. Our mesmer was able to avoid detection and get a portal up at the south gate, which we used to clear siege of the walls to help the other FA group break through the south gate. After that the north inner gate was seiged and destroyed.

No exploit was used, we had 2 rams and a 1 cata break through another outer gate to get the mesmer inside.

Lady Serah? If that was you in Bluewater Supply, you already have ppl whinging. Good job!

Happy to see d/d bunker builds aren’t completely nerfed to the ground.

About 40 minutes before the time of this post, I fought 3 from [SSS] (Nine Sisters was it?). I wanted to say I absolutely loved our battle. I hope you happen to read here so you may hear my gratitude.

I believe the 3 of you were all thieves as was I. A battle of frequent stealth and each having the knowledge of proper application of each others skills made that really exciting. Though it stated off with me downing one of you, trying to maintain that advantage during the long battle with maintaining one of you down many times, in the end you guys escaped with all 3 of you alive and I too managed to survive. With how long that went, it reached where we mutually had little to gain from victory (was it 10 minutes?). Lets call it a draw

If anyone knows [SSS], then please let them know Tera Xenphos of Fort Aspenwood thanks them.
