Okay okay, I’ll just say it since everyone else wants to just blow smoke up everyone’s kittens. This week is horrible so far, all you posting “great match” and all that bs, is this your first time in WvW? The maps are empty, combat is nearly impossible to find. Each server holds their borderland in its entirety and EB is divided in thirds with few incursions. None of which is surprising since there are maybe 20 people on a map.

I hate PvE patches, ruin my fun.

Nut, I wasn’t home tonight around prime time so I can’t speak for tonight. Last night there were queues for a good amount of time and we were battling at least a hundred between the two sides if not more at any given time. On your map last night. Reset was an hour and a half late, so we probably could have had a lot more fighting the first day too.

I had a lot of fun tonight and last night against Fort Aspenwood. Haven’t seen much of Yak’s Bend. Good times on TC borderlands – thanks for visiting the Coast, where we like our map to be monochrome!

I agree Nut I hate PvE events/patch/whatever.

But if you cannot find a fight this week your doing something wrong, seriously you will see some really dead weeks compared to this. Last week there were like 5 enemies per map sometimes. I will say though I haven’t been seeing as many Yaks. Their numbers have seemed to drop some.

I put in some hours this late “night.” My only failure is employment and a need for sleep. Dear FA, we will meet again later and this time we are taking Hills Keep.

I will agree there’s fights to be had, from YB’s POV we haven’t had queues on any BL except YBBL at reset once that i’ve seen, and certainally none since that 1st day.

Those that are out there are doing great, and some of the fights have been great others not so great.

I’m not sure about TC, but I am definately not seeing the same amount of numbers as I saw last week. And FA numbers seem about the same as it was towards the end of the match up against them we had.

all in all while we’re all having a good match up, due to Anets stupid thinking, weekend numbers are down probably for all, but especially for YB and TC.

Hopefully after this stupid event is over with, although since it’s soo buggy it will probably be extented, TC and YB and go back to normal numbers and then we can all turn a good match up thus far in to a great one.

Credit to FA for what they’ve done thus far, may they be caught by the end of the week by YB!

Unfortunately the new area and new dungeon aren’t going to go away so the large PvE/RP populations of Yak’s and TC aren’t coming back any time soon. Cheers to all the hardcore WvWers still keeping up the good fight.

FA is seeing this aswell. We had 2 full groups of normal pvpers in my guild last night doing fractals all night instead of helping out. The fraction of active people on every server not doing W3 is the same everywhere I think.

Yeah I’m getting a little tired of people claiming PvE content is what’s ruining the WvW match for them. Every server has to deal with that, and I honestly don’t believe that we have a bigger WvW population than either TC or YB. In fact, if FA were losing right now some whiners on our server might use the PvE events as excuse to argue that the match is lopsided. The point is null and void.

In other news, once again great fights last night, pretty epic battle with YB for Ascension Bay in our borderlands while some TC were trying to take the Hills. Then golem rushing through YB BL to take 3 of their keeps, 4 supply camps and a tower which was loads of fun. Some on our server might once again point out that both other servers are teaming up against us, but even if you do, well… we’re the server to beat right now. Why not? Besides, it means never a dull moment for us the whole week. Keep em coming guys!

The most recent scores project that not only will you guys stay in T3, your server is increasing its rating by a higher number than CD is increasing theirs. None of our servers should really be in T4 anyway.

What a see-saw battle to behold and be a part of! Surely this will go down in the annals of GW2 video game history, such an epic battle. Kudos to TC & YB for showing great heart throughout the weekend and providing such a great fight. This is an FAer looking forward to the remaining week and with some luck we continue this rivalry next week as well.

Great job YB and especially TC. You guys really stepped it up and were basically everywhere before we were. To everyone on FA, hopefully I’ll see some people show up throughout the week. because my back is starting to get sore from carrying while we all take PvE breaks.

Well it appears we are on track for getting a rematch next week so all the complaining about the event changing things won’t apply then. And for those thinking I was complaining earlier, I apologize for not including FA’s PvE community in that as well. Every server took a WvW hit this weekend, and now things can get back to normal hopefully.

looks like by tomorrow all 3 servers will have recovered from the population reduction from the event (none of the servers being left out, for you sore losers who keep saying that they are losing solely because their server is under populated).

In true RP fashion this is what happened.

You guys poked our Garrison and took it. So Delia spoke with the Golem God. And the Golem God said “Thou shalt take FA Garrison” and it was so.

On a serious note though, TC never gave up. We just had a lot of fun doing the Lost Shores event. How could you miss out on a one time event?

After reading on these forums, the hard part for me now will be finding people to do Fractals lvl 1.

Edited to add: As a response to the above poster. We at TC have a slogan: For the Toast! What does Toast stand for? The Organization Against Server Transfers. We don’t mind people coming to TC if they plan on staying with us through thick and thin but we don’t encourage bandwagon players to join us.

Well, to answer that question, we were pushing in YB BL and suddenly there were people spamming map chat about how there were FA in TCG etc etc. So we all pulled out to defend.

yes we had our daily guild summit and all the guilds from both Yaks and TC got together, as we do every day at about tea time due to all of us being such good, close, and long time friends. we decided that because of the deep and truly romantic love all of the YB and TC players have for one another we would solely fight FA this entire matchup.

As the servers reset for a new build I managed to snap the score. Fun match – learning some new siege spots

Hitting the first place people 2 on 1 only makes sense. So when TC and Yaks were hitting us while we were in the lead it was only good strategy. But why the heck is Yak still trying to take our borderlands when TC is pulling ahead? If it was a soft target that would make sense, but you’ve been banging your head on it for a couple hours now. It’s not good strategy from any standpoint.

Well most of Yaks and TA’s borderlands are completely locked down you can’t really push out further than the first tower and maybe a few camps.

FA was in a similar situation but once they got a footing the entire borderland became unstable now its a free for all essentially.

So FA bl and EB are the really only effective way to gain points as of right now for all 3 sides.

Why is Yaks focusing on our borderlands rather than EB? who knows maybe its because at this point playing in EB is just exhausting.

except it’s not really a free for all. They’ve been losing ground – there’s softer targets in eb and probably TC border (it’s been green so long i’m suprpised no one has at least tried to ninja a keep there).

I wouldn’t say there are softer targets in EB. I’ve lost count of how many times folks from both YB and FA tried and failed to take Golanta over a 6 hour period tonight.

Targets might be softer after certain folks go to sleep, certainly, but in primetime, so long as I’m in EB, taking our camps, let alone a ‘tower’ requires rather a lot of effort.

Third week in a row that tier 3 has been highly competitive – let’s keep it exciting through the week.

Thanks for those of you posting updates on the score! I’m so excited to see TC leading by several thousand (though by no means does this mean a solidified win) given that this time yesterday, we were trailing by as much.

We had some EPIC battles yesterday, as the ‘hive’ split to bait and switch. Thank you to all FA who swarmed the “Alamo Tower” – we had a heck of a time trying to stay alive (we 6 siege defenders) but hung in there just long enough to allow our others to cap the keep.

For the many times we smashed into FA on the field – we were constantly given a run for our money and your zerg ate ours repeatedly.

YB – sure wish we saw more of you out on the battlefield (honorable opponents, I must say) and I’ll be out rolling the hills looking for a few of you to teach me yet more inventive ways to dirtnap. XD

Well done, taking SM just now, FA (and Pro folks). We played terribly. I couldn’t get people to pay enough attention to run through Durios’ most holey wall and kill your trebs

That’s generally the way it goes with SM! Too many people turtling inside and fighting outside the walls instead of hitting the objectives that matter. ^^

After FA took back SMC from TC, one Tarnished Coast Thief managed to stay within the inner perimeter a long time. Good job Thief of [KF], that was a fun chase!

An ally called you out earlier, but no directional clues. A lot of time passed so I figured you were “removed” by then, but I saw your Shadow Refuge. I have a stealth heavy-build, so it was a fun chance to verify I know how a good thief moves. Sure enough, you largely moved as I would, it was fun refining my guesses. I still called reinforcements, with directional clues. Nevertheless, your long survival earns my respect!

YB I assume is fighting for second, so is targeting FA more often. Plus, if YB attacks TC, TC counters and pushes with vengeance, and YB is the softer target. So YB fights the “easier” fight with FA.

TC is just pushing into where it can. TC will fight more often with what it views as the bigger threat. So FA is the bigger threat. TC is hitting FA more often to keep FA in check.

FA is just in a bad position of being too good, so draws TC’s attention, but also “softer” drawing YB’s attention. Plus, it is just perception, and 2v1 has been happening in every combination.

If it is any consolation, in the jump puzzle, it is slightly different. TC kills YB on sight generally, since YB will camp the puzzle or overall just be hostile. FA and TC leave each other mostly alone and in peace, jumping together side by side, unless one attacks the other. (TC cleared out YB campers a few times and then killed them in the entire puzzle for hours, while letting FA pass the entire time)

I can certainly understand (see our match up with SoR who insisted on siege camping our spawn) and so long as you keep turning out, the good fight goes on. Don’t give up! We like seeing you out in EB.

This definitely wasn’t the case when I was in the puzzle. I walked in to be greeted by 3 ballista and 2 arrow carts from FA. In the rare event (twice) I made it to the base of the ‘portal’ spot, I was absolutely swarmed by 7-9 FA at a time. I was revived twice since, made it through the last leg of the puzzle and proceeded to harry the campers with only 2-3 fellow TC meanwhile letting YB pass by. Personally, I don’t smack until smacked first. (The temporary truce in the puzzle last week was just awesome.)

Just wanted to offer a little clarity in the case these alliance rumors continue to brew.

Amnesty periods are unspoken when a bigger threat is present. Once that threat is nullified, the focus may shift.

And Nyari – once again, thanks for sticking it out on the late shift in EB!
