All problems of this tier can be solved with 1 very very simple formula.

2nd Place server, and 3rd place server(in terms of score) Should always hit 1st place server.

So 2nd place, and 3rd place should basically ignore each others BL, and just focus on the 1st place servers BL and Corner in EB.

In EB, whoever controls SM should be focused on.

I’m still confused with this whole EDGE thing. Have you been away from WVW for a while or are you RPing a new guild ready to partake in WVW? No troll, your original post just has me very confused.

To the GF guardian I dueled at SE camp in ARBL, you’re as annoying to fight as I am. So glad you decided to call it. We’d have never killed one another!

We had Anvil Rock set up perfectly for 1st Place last week. They had a fully upgraded Stonemist with a Waypoint, no pressing on their borderlands. the Ebay Hills was in our hands and their Garrison and border towers were getting Wrecked.

All Anvil Rock had to have done to win that round was press the Ehmrybay Bay Keep and Lowlands and it would have been all over. Instead AR suddenly got a massive hard on for Overlook keep and the Borlis Hills Keep. That and my personal favorite, the Anvil Rock Pangloss rush. Ogrewatch, Mendons, portal. 10 minutes later, Ogrewatch, Mendons, portal. Rinse and repeat for 2 hours. I got so tired of hanging onto Ebay’s hills by our fingernails only to hear “Anvilrock is attacking our Garrison with golems XOXOXO”.

Its clear AR wanted our attention, so now they got it. Its also clear our efforts to fight Ebay were what was holding the flood back, since now that we have switched gears Ebay is just wrecking everything and AR can’t seem to do much to stop it and we just don’t care.

Ebay certainly kicking some kitten this is true. Though to be fair, Borlis Pass has stopped fighting Ebay and is focusing solely on Anvil Rock. They just can’t figure out its the duty of the weaker servers to ruin it for the stronger, but instead they just kept going into our keeps while we were trying to wreck Ebay borderlands. We got tired of constantly being back doored by AR while we tried to fight Ebay, so now AR is gonna be the red team in this tier. On the plus side though, this means Ebay may finally get their wish and move up a tier. Still a long time till friday though.

Lets be honest here. You got tired of coming in 3rd , so now your playing for 2nd.

This gotta be a joke, no you MUST be joking. what we’ve done in ONE DAY to get a 10k lead on you is to show you that we can also play for 2nd. like i said YESTERDAY me and some guilds are going to focus AR instead of Ebay and now you’re over 10k behind. and that was just ONE day. our crew managed to hold ebay hills for 18 hours, use your brain for a minute here mr. -K

You do realize that the only reason you made so much ground on AR is because some groups from EBay started “bowling” people off cliffs, the group grew, and we ended up taking most of AR map while you were working on the other side for no other good reason than “we felt like it.” AR didn’t drop 10k points because of your intensity, Kalkz. They dropped 10k points because they were at the mercy of both servers for the majority of the day and night.

BP should be able to sympathize a bit there. You know what it’s like. I’m just continuously amazed at some of the posters here who have some crazy ability to completely forget that fact for the five minutes it takes them to post on the forums.

AR didn’t drop 10k points, you can’t drop any points in WvW. BP gained a 10k point lead on AR. And the only way to do that is if our PPT is higher than theirs. So whatever Ehmry did was to help themselves not us.

Half RED and half GREEN… now see if Ehmry never turned up and started pulling us into fights with them it would of been ALL RED!! they MAYBE dictating or at least trying to to me they are just going where the fighting is and taking full advantage of paper towers/keeps and a fight that suddenly becomes a 3 way when BP have taken EVERYTHING on your BL

I agree EB dictates pretty much everything that happens on this tier. They are likely a tad bored.

Still, what do you think will happen to the score if BP turns AR red (or as red as they can) …and EB turns BP green…while keeping their BL intact ?

As for us doing it to help ourselves, I think you missed what I was saying. We did it because we had players there who wanted something to do. Not to help BP. It was for fun, not some grand attempt to play puppeteer with the other servers. I’m just trying to point out that Kalkz has a bad habit of taking credit for anything BP accomplishes. You guys are better than that and the fact that you’re all continually support his showboating makes it tough to say anything nice about whatever BP accomplishes. Credit your guilds. Credit your players like they deserve. Kalkz isn’t BP.

OK, I can’t just let that go. YOU set US up??? By trebbing the kitten out of SM constantly and capping supply to make sure we can’t repair? The N walls of SM were down much of the time we held it thanks to you “setting us up”. Meanwhile we lost pretty much our entire BL (to you) because we just don’t have the numbers to hold SM and do much else.

No we didn’t “want your attention”. We wanted to get you off SM so folks went to Overlook to try to silence your trebs, or at least focus them on Ogre. Good strategy? Not in my book. It was frustrating as all kitten watching it, but hey, the big guilds just do what they want.

Speaking of which…..please don’t say “AR did X”, because that’s just not the case. “Guild Y” may do “X”, but that doesn’t necessarily represent the will of AR as a whole.

P.S. FWIW, I totally agree w/ another poster who said BP and AR should focus on EB. EB wins every round with ease. Working together we can make them earn it, and I for one don’t give a flying kitten who comes in 2nd, 3rd, etc…..I just hate seeing one server dominate week after week because they have the numbers. Let’s beat the kitten out of them, and if we can’t do that together, then EB deserves to move up and we need someone else in there.

Nobody wants to move down a tier, and you Backdooring us while we fought Ebay certainly put us on that path. That and all the chest thumping about how AR was better then BP and that you guys deserved to stay and we deserved to move down. Its put up or shut up time for AR now.

For the record, AR hasn’t chest thumped, it was Ebay players who said AR was better than BP, or do you not read peoples signatures?

You do realize Ebay has hit us too, right? Notice the lack of cries from AR players? We’re mature enough to enjoy the fights brought to us, rather than complain. Quit crying about spilled milk, and enjoy the game.

AR doesn’t have the population, but we’re willing to put up a fight.

BP complains when they’re winning, and complains when they’re losing. Do not stress yourselves out so much.

Just play guild wars 2. All the guilds that don’t rage on the forums don’t care about the win they care about the fights.

Just look at what’s happening to Kaineng up there in tier2.. losing guilds left and right and about to fall down a tier or 2 cause all they did was focus on score and winning(getting to tier1). Play for the fun of it people!

Oh I get it now, mighty Borlis Pass forum warriors, if AR and EB are hitting you guys, then AR is picking up scraps, but if BP is on one half and EB is on the other half of a map, then it’s EB picking up the scraps. I didn’t realize that it was Borlis Pass that was the strongest server in the match up.
On a side note, the absolutely acidic nature of your WvW community on BP is why you fell apart in higher tiers, glad to see that your server learned almost nothing(although GOAT has calmed down quite a bit, props to you guys). Try to enjoy the fights that you get, and cry a little less. Understand that you are not a higher powers gift to the WvW scene, and that we are all in tier 5.

Playing on those Servers are like Toxic environments(So is all of Tier1). You have people outside of your guild trying to dictate what you do, how to play and when you can do it. Some of those players can completely ruin a server.

Please tell me where AR was chest thumping that we were better than you. I can’t remember a single comment where we did that. In fact, I’ve only seen AR say good things about you.

I do, however, remember multiple comments being made by Ebay stating that they thought we were better. Are you so jealous for Ebay’s affection that you are “focusing solely” on AR because they think we are better?

That’s the score evolution this week. Last night was the worst sustained income evolution (in my memory) that AR has had since Kaineg. Say what you want about AR taking tactical advantage for points, but we never held you down below 100ppt for ANY sustained amount of time. (Check the score evos for the past 4 weeks.) You just did it for 8 hours.

In fact, There has only been one other sustained point suppression in our match up and guess what: It was AR topping the income while Ebay was supressed for 4 hours, meaning that AR was making a concerted effort to keep Ebay down.

BP’s last supression in this matchup was 90ppt for 1 & 1/2 hours. and that was reset night the week after you beat Ebay.

You cry and cry about how you feel like AR is feeding Ebay points and screwing you over, but what you fail to realize is that AR has always pushed Ebay when you are low on points, and never once held you down like what you just did. If that’s the direction that you want to take your server, that’s fine. But just know that you’re alienating this tier into a lopsided match that will get more boring than AR ever made it.

Having said my piece, I urge AR to soldier on. It isn’t like our server to break under pressure, and I don’t expect it to happen now. Let them come. We will slaughter them at our own spawn gates if we have to. But Anvil Rock will not submit.

Ya know, it doesn’t take a genius to see that we did poorly last week because Ebay was sitting on us, and AR is doing poorly this week because EBay was sitting on them. That is, they were until BP drowned the forum in chest thumping.

I’ve run into a few good [EDGE] players, but the other roamers I’ve seen running around have died to me in 1v2 and 1v3s… a ranger at that. A mesmer buddy and myself wiped four [EDGE] (which is still the biggest group of you guys that I have seen). So while I like to pride myself at being good at what I do, I’m never impressed with a group that lets themselves die in such helpless fashion.

So either I’ve been fighting the wrong [EDGE] roamers, or you guys have some people in your guild who aren’t carrying the weight of a guild that has “never been wiped on fair grounds.”

Faux, if your mesmer buddy was Potato then your numbers are skewed and the win is null and void, enough said.

I do not want to start more ranting and raving, however I don’t post much and simply read/take everyone posts for what they are. Does anyone else see this?: BP seems like the big kid on the playground who talks about being able to beat everyone up, only to be kicked in the seed and cry for hours. In reply to the whines of Ehmry Bay thus far agaisnt the hunting parties of EDGE, allow us to summarize our reply in a few short notes, because you might have difficulty understanding what was stated.

1) we of EDGE are on the hunt for Ehmry flesh, in terms of server points, I do notice that even thou the map is green, you are still stuck in the same tier as us and are losing points overall

2) I stress on the part that we are HUNTING you, please understand that to hunt you and slaughter you is different from issuing a guild vs guild battle, which we would most humbly accept at any given day

3) Yes we took the superior tactical route of upgrading a camp, which you let us do

4) If you are incapable of making a judgement call NOT to charge into a fully upgraded camp, please do not whine about getting slaughtered, because you had a FULLY UPGRADED BAY with npcs of your own and CANNONS…did EDGE charge your lines? no we dont make tactical errors as such….

5) Oh yes we slaughtered up levels….I suppose we are to let up levels go? are you sure you want us to do that? alright fine…how about we wont hit you till you hit us…which in this case you and your Ehmries CHARGED us…so we defended ourselves and killed you or them….what other handicap would you like to suggest for us to kill you more?

6) Our intention is to gut and cut Ehmries down till we get your attention and formalize a challenge to take us on, equal in numbers and fight in skill, last night, we met a impressive Rekz elementalist whom we dueled 1 vs 1 at a time, and if he represents the caliber of players in Rekz, then once proven, you will have EDGE’s respect.

You had our attention and curiosity for a bit, but the more you talk, the more EDGE sounds like yet another guild that can only chest thump. You pound your pecks so loudly, I can hear the war drums a mile away. We get excited for the massive battle that approaches, but in the end it’s just a couple of loud individuals who don’t seem to know which way to run.

But yeah, keep up the good fight talk EDGE! I’d say keep up the good fights, but we need to actually get you guys in a fight first.

Also, BURN. There’s a beastly guild. You guys are everywhere. Now THOSE are good fights.

I don’t really care for your hunt of whatever but this point, Unless it is a siege I tend to let an up level go unless they attack me first and even then I mostly just downed state them and walk away, A little compassion can go a good way to keeping the WvW population at a good level imo.

So yes I would say let the up levels go along unless they pick the fight but that is just me, killing up levels proves nothing after all.
