…But sorry after that to get your account terminated for just playing and annoying it, it would be not make fun anymore to play it like before. Nobody know what they did wrong by just playing the game how do you can believe or think the guys can annoy the game further? Ah forgot is just a small amount of account which got terminated by an error! After your 5th banning wave/list it is not anymore a small amount….
If we should get back our accounts, we have to be afraid that maybe after the next corner you cross the ban hammer is waiting….. thats not fun after all!

Same thing happened to me, and I am waiting as well. I am more dissapointed now as I was just given an infraction by a moderator (for posting my incident/ticket number) although I was following the rules to the best of my knowledge as Gaile has posted earlier. If you look at all my messages you will see that I am fair and I do not post heatedly etc. I’m not sure what to think of the situation and this forum in general now. I hope everything will get better soon.

Question, when did it get restored? just wondering if they only have say 9 to 5 support or if they are 24/7.

Still waiting since yesterday … I got a message within a few hours that they are escalating my ticket but nothing since.
Being falsely banned is shocking, demeaning and -dare I say- insulting on so many levels, even though it’s probably unintentional on ANET’s part. You basically label honest players as botters and that really sucks; and then you deprive them from actually enjoying a game they paid for until the ban is lifted, which could take several days.
I honestly hope ANET implements better practices and systems to prevent false-positives in the future, because being unjustly banned is a somewhat akin to be wrongfully jailed in a sense.
I guess I will play some League of Legends and Skyrim until they get around to my case :/

I’m very stressed and frustrated right now because when I logged in my account 9 hours ago, a message appears stating that I have been botting or using any 3rd party programs. None of these are true.. I already create a support ticket and explained everything I remember yesterday and posted some screenshots I made during my whole month of GuildWars 2.. I only have 1 account and I never ever use any bots, macros, 3rd party programs or whatsover. I hope ArenaNet will solve this problem quickly.

After I bought the game from buy.guildwars2.com 3 days ago, I got “suspended/an account issue” last night… I’m also thinking of refunding the game too cause lastly I remember,
I paid 59$, I’m suspended for no reason (?), and I have to wait maybe 5-10 days to learn why I’m suspended… So I paid 59$ for being suspended for 5-10 days.
So you made the “judgement” over me and put suspend status to my account, But What if you are wrong, you will remove the suspend status and you will say you made a mistake. But you just took 5-10 days of using right of the product by force which I bought totally legal, by your site and there you just made an upset customer.

There have been some posters stating that they have been unbanned.
Folks asked them for general info such as how long, when did you get the unban message, etc.. but have not responded to the questions ask by other players seeking info.

Im still waiting an answer from the support team, its been 2 days now. I have a bad feeling. Thats the same feeling i had when i did an accident with my car and the other man didnt stop and continued. The insurance company told me that i was guilty of that accident because the other man implied was not found.

Day four, and still no response. But I trust they are trying to do everything in their power to help us all.
Has anyone tried making another account? I’m assuming just the account is blocked / banned, but not the actual Serial code. I would just recommend that if you are banned forever due to a third party use, that you perhaps search your computer or whatever you are using, make sure there is no questionable programs, and start again (well, if you really love the game. . that’s what I intend to do, but I highly doubt I’ll be permanently removed because I don’t have any third party programs affecting the game, so just be patient and wait for the account to be restored!).
I just want to get the crazy Vigil armor and paint it green.

I tried calling NCsoft, they dont want to hear anything. I tried put some pressure and they closed the phone on my face saying sorry we dont provide phone support for account issues. I miss Blizzard customer service. A company that dont provide a good customer service is not a good company for customers. Is ANet philosophie is to make alot money without investing enough in the human resources? If you had enough brains there, you would make of this game a big hit, better than WoW, maybe better than any other game. Should i continue playing WoW by paying my monthly fee, I seriously consider it now. I dont think WoW is affected by Bots, because they thought before building the game. Gems? old like MMORPG history.
Looks like a incompetent manager is working in ANet.

Did you get anything as compensation? You obviously lost gold gain over those 2 days and the fact that they let that happen without giving you anything for the troubles and mistakes is absurd.
At the 23hr mark for my support tick and no changes on it at all at the same time i am still unable to log in. This is becoming very stressful at a stressful time of my life (elections and job interviews) i truly do not need this happening all at once in my life.
Side note do bots post on these forms as much as real ppl? I am on these forms all day more so now that i cant play gw2 i truly have nothing else to do these days.

Indeed, always get in touch with the support as soon as possible. Submit a ticket providing the required information listed here: How to submit a ticket.
Then as explained here: Multiple tickets, don’t do it, avoid opening duplicates, it will delay your answer.

Well it’s still happening. I got permanantly banned for “engaging in or assisting with gold or item sales for real world money”. Something I have never done. (Seriously, the most I’ve ever had at one time was 4g, and I bought that with gems LEGITIMATELY.) I have NEVER botted or anything else like that, and I never intend to.
I logged a ticket, we’ll see where that goes.
I also had my account terminated for “botting” when I’ve done no such thing.. I guess standing in Cursed Shore for long periods of time gets you a ban now?
Not sure if this is normal when investigating these issues.. but people are telling me that my account is logged in, and I’m inside WvW now..

Beforehand a posting of mine was deleted stating “fill a ticket and wait 10 days” because that was seen as wrong information.

What would happen if you won’t open a ticket ? Your account will be banned forever by
‘mistake’. They make accounts disappear by ‘mistake’…. How on earth I can be sure it’s a ‘mistake’ or intentional… I can’t. It’s not only you, if it was only a few people, I can accept ‘mistake’.
We all have to do open tickets of many and wait in long queue…

So i restarted my system and attempted to play I was told that i was banned for botting or violating the terms of service. I reported this to support and was given a support login separate from my account login. but I still cant play this is day 3. There has been no response from support. I can only assume that my playing guild wars 2 with my family has ended. I will not be investing any more time or money in guild wars 2. It irks me that I reported real bots that continued playing and I get banned permanently for something i did not do and I abhor.

I left a ticket, I just want to be sure to type it here too, that my account has been terminated today too. I am begging someone to check my whole account through to clearify I used none of the bots or cheats that the warning said when I tried to log in.
I feel strange, because I have never been suspected with any kind of these activities in any games. I always played fair and really do not understand what is going on. I am not alone, as I see this topic.

Still waiting on my ticket from about 2 days ago. This is annoying, lol. “Banned for botting.” like many other people, when in fact, there was no botting involved. This happened near launch as well, where i was banned for supposedly trying to sell gold for RL money. Took 2 weeks for them to unban my account which had been terminated originally -_- Come on Anet, not trying to sound ungrateful or rude, but you need to get it together. I’m not going to want to recommend this game to people if there is a chance they will get wrongfully banned. I’m not gonna have them spend $60 and then say “Oh, by the way, you may get banned for something you did not do. Enjoy the game while you can!”

Gaile… I don’t know if this has been touched on specifically, but can “updating” (replying) to your current ticket with additional information affect the queue time? I know you shouldn’t add any additional tickets which could delay things, but how about those ticket replies/updates? Will they reset your place in the review process to the back of the line, or does it still go by ticket number?
I cannot seem to find any area that will allow me to see the ticket or add info to it directly, even though I have seen references to being able to review the ticket in the initial support response to my request. Trying to log into that support link just fails saying that my account is disabled, which obviously doesn’t help. So I have sent replies with my thoughts back to the initial support email as was suggested in their reply.
Waiting as patiently as possible given the uncertainties… but still nervous. :-(

Same here too. So I was almost sure that the patch or the game itself triggered a bug at the time (but my screen went to black), and I was sure that the game developers will surely aware of the problem (which I still want to believe) that many people will be reported with false-positive status. But I didn’t know that they care too much about bots, gold selling, or make bans without a reason… Also it looks like there are already too many fraud and illegality happens around the game. Since it’s highly popular.

My hubby is closing in on 48 hours of account ban for botting. Patently untrue. We’ve been gaming for years and know the rules. They haven’t gotten back to him at all. And yes, he immediately put a ticket in.
If they don’t fix this, and he can’t play, then neither will I, and then I’m going to put in a complaint to my credit card company to get back the gem money we spent, since we can’t use the gems, and as far as I’m concerned the product wasn’t received and we shouldn’t have to pay for it.
Maybe I’ll even try to get back the money we paid for 2 collector’s edition games.
A-Net … this is NOT how to treat your loyal customers. There are lots of other games out there to play. ’Nuff said.

I feel for you. I too use GW2 as a way of escaping from the troubles I come across in reality, just as many people do. When you are then falsely accused of doing something and have that little bit of peace stolen from you, it is very depressing.

My account just got terminated ( 9:30am ) I submitted a ticket ( 121108-001970 ) shortly after this. All I have been doing recently was grouping with people at Cursed Shore between Penitent and Shelter for loot. My termination says I have been perma-banned due to botting/using macros or similar behavior
I hope this gets revolved quickly as I am nearly finished my legendary!

I’m off to spend some money on another publisher’s game now, to cure this boredom until I get my GW2 account back. This whole fiasco is generating negative press for what promised to be such a great game.
