Doing my part to keep this topic at the top of the forums. This needs to be fixed asap. As someone who has finished 100% map completion many times, I would feel confident in maintaining that I probably did it right this, the 13th, time.

It has displayed by my name since I got the 100%, that wasn’t glitched at all. Just the gifts

We have identified an issue with the World Completion achievement that have impacted a small number of players. Please review the following to see if this applies to you:

I earned the “Been There, Done That” achievement, but I did not receive my 2x Gift of Exploration.

There were two separate bugs that lead to this outcome. If you experienced this issue before Feb 18th at 23:00 UTC, then your achievement was awarded prematurely (that is, you had not actually fully earned the achievement) and you simply need to find your missing POIs, Vistas, Renown Hearts, or Skill Challenges in order to receive your Gifts of Exploration. The support team will not be able to send the gifts to you, because you technically haven’t earned them yet. If you experienced this issue after Feb 18th 23:00 UTC, then you cannot solve the issue on your own. Beginning on Feb 26th, the Customer Support Team will start automatically mailing out Gifts of Exploration once daily to anyone who experienced this bug within the preceding 24-hour period. After earning the gifts, if you do not see them in your in-game mail right away please wait 24 hours and check your mail again.

If you continue to have issues after following the suggestion above, please let us know.

Are the Gifts of Exploration still being sent out currently?

I am getting quite annoyed at the manner this is being dealt with.
It is taxing to keep updating my support ticket every 24 hours in hopes of an answer of any kind that does not contain some generic message that prances around the topic without really answering anything.

Right now I have been waiting since the 18th, this is extremely frustrating.

So I just completed 100% of the world… Got achivement but not the gift of exploration! I wanna ask what´s up with that?

As someone metioned before – he explored map and received gifts, but his last poi was NOT in LA. So it would be great if you could make it and give us a feedback if it really works – lot of players concerned of this bug will know if there is point of finishing map successfully.

My last poi was in Kessex Hills, a map i had already received a chest for before that poi was added, and I got no gift of exploration.

So my thoughts are that you can’t get the gifts of exploration if you don’t get a chest for your last map you explore. Most people don’t get the chest for LA because they already had received it. In my case I had already received the chest for Kessex Hills some months ago so as i get no chest, i get no gifts.

Maybe the code that gives you the gift is related to that last chest:
IF map is completed →
give chest
and IF chest is last→
THEN give gifts of exploration

Then again those are just my thoughts and i am probably wrong about how the gift gets delivered

9 days I complete the map.
And 55 hrs pass I still haven’t get that crap. Anet support team keep giving me Excuse. Asking me for my character detail. And saying they still in process.

Yea ive been getting the same BS run around for the past 5 days I waited patiently and was told i’d get the gift within 24 hours since that last email and now its been a little over 45+ and still nothing. Honestly its BS like this and others that has made so many quit this game.

Btw question. So is Map Completion bugged now completely??? Like can you not do it at all?

If complete map after the new patch. you only get the tital, you won’t get " gift of exploration"( no matter now or then) you won’t get it. this why so pixs me off. I complete 9 day b4 still haven’t get that crap. I don’t why they don’t updated the game to fix this, and saying wil investigation one player by one player? This is so stupid.
They given me 5 excuse mail.
Anet don’t keep giving us excuse, just do the job.

this bug still happening, its happen to me and my guild mate today

So here’s my story.

Finished map completion with my necromancer five days ago. didn’t get any rewards, I sent in-game bug report, read the forums and waited for five days and nothing happened.

I revisited all the maps (several times past few times,cost over 1g to do that), checked my areas, all showing 100%. Visited chantry, traveled all the cities, home instances and every other things that said to be fixing this bug. My character select says my necro have completed world 100%.

Still I didn’t received any message for completing world, any gifts or anything. I have been keeping eye on my character every day and cheked inventory often for items etc. to appear. but nothing happened past five days.

I already have completed world with my 6 other characters, so i have that title since the first completion. Also 11 gifts of exploration and one gift of mastery, so any responses with, “you already received your reward, you have those gifts in your bank etc. etc.” are useless.

This is my first time having this problem, and i think it has something to do with LA.
There is no completion star next to LA’s name in world map etc. but that’s just a theory of mine.

I Really hope someone reply’s to me and we can fix this bug/broblem. I am willing to help is someone has any questions.

PS. Sorry bout my bad english and crappy sentences…

same here. 100% world map completion. all heart, poi, vista, waypoint, & skill finished.
don’t get anything……
i already try troubleshooting individually like revisit all city and chantry of secret. nothing happened.
more than 24 hours waiting. no ticket respond.

i think they need to give us information about our ticket, such as the status. does Support team read it already? in process? such like that will be helpful. so it will keep the customer calmer.

now i dont know what to do. i dont know my ticket progress…

I am in the same boat, first Toon just finished 100% map nothing missing, LA 2 new POI was the last thing I got. Tried everything Gale’s posted still not working. Wasted a lot of silvers for this. Very upset indeed!

yea this is getting stupid. I don’t even know if we can do map completion anymore at all. I was wondering if I could do it on an alt again to get the gifts then wait for the other 2 I was TOLD I would get by the end of the 27th but now I am just kinda stuck this is too stupid. Give us a response.

I also just learned that the instance in LA is being treated as a dungeon path completion. Is this why they are glitched?? Cause dungeons don’t give credit towards map completion..

Yesterday I brought my card on 100% what was not so easy at the end. Have since been missing with 2 attractions … Search by longer I’m pushed into the last two Lowenstein (wid Attacked) on 2. I was sure that before the attack on Lowenstein was 100% Uncovered and I have already received a chest of Lion’s Arch. Which would explain the bug possibly ….
Well I did get the world where the success and completion of the title as well as the other “2 gift of exploration” is not.
It would be nice if the time is taken the problem seriously and the injured players in some art gift passed the 2 exploration after this reward is since the LARGEST and aufenwendigste in play here is seen of it from what you are looking to produce and then …..

Hi, I recently just got my world completion done, got the “Been there done that” Title but no gift of exploration reward. Tried Chantry of Secrets and the new Poi in LA.
Any suggestions?

omg, this is such crap. I was like the one person who sat at 85% for monthssssss finally finish it and no freaking reward. I’m a WvWer can’t you imagine how hard that PvE crap was for me….gimme my chest!! Q_Q

I believe it is now time for me to drop my two cents in on this thread.

I would like to state that the following is only my opinionated theory and not actual fact, that this is what I believe “MAY” be happening in this current scenario.

Ok, now that I have that cleared up, allow me to start off by saying, that I have been following this thread for the past two weeks now, and it is not pleasant. I have chose to follow because, well, I too am a victim of this certain “BUG”. Now, what I am going to say here may not agree with what everyone else thinks, but I do believe that it is a valid possibility.

We are all narrowing down the root cause of this version of the “BUG”, to have something to do with the latest patch “Attack On Lions Arch”. The exact reasoning is unknown. Whether it is a mishap in coding chain-linking to another line of code is obvious, that’s just the realism in programming/releasing new patches for our game. What a few people had mentioned earlier on in the thread, actually sounds quite accurate, and that is, that the “two new poi’s” (Point of Interest [The Breachmaker] and Point of Interest [Deverol Island]), are the trigger of this error.

As I dive deeper into this, I will also state that, another gamer had also mentioned something that actually seemed quite interesting in correlation to the previous statement. That is, that the patch actually seems to turn Lions Arch into an instance/dungeon rather than an ordinary map. Now, if this is true, and the coding to go into this fits that description, then the two new poi’s that are a part of this map will not count towards 100% map completion thus far, cause a conflict within world completion in itself.

Another possibility I have ran across, is that those who have already completed Lions Arch prior to this patch and received their “Lions Arch Zone Completion Chest” may have potential in triggering the “BUG” by not allowing the world completion chest to spawn because they had already received the zone chest prior to the patch. Confusing right?

ANYWHO, no matter the cause/trigger of the error, it is here and this “BUG” couldn’t of came at a better time and the result of it being a bunch of angries raging at the system because they want their gifts and they want it now!! Honestly, I completely agree and understand how a lot of you feel. Why? Because remember, I am a victim too. I understand you worked soooo hard to get those Achievs, I know you neeeeed your gifts for your legends, I agree that it completely hurts your feels and you are soooo totally sad that Guild Wars/ANet letchya down… Q_Q

Listen, “BUG’s”/errors are reality of games and/or any other software out there in the world and it is DEFINITELY not the DESIRE of the dev’s to disappoint their customer base, in fact, as hard as it is to believe, that is the last thing they want.

So, in effort to please their ever so loyal fans, they reach out to assist. Assist those who are screaming, kicking, crying for help because the world is going to end if something isn’t done RIGHT NOW! It’s almost as if they are throwing those who are drowning from the Titanic, a life jacket so that they can stay afloat to game another day. Truth is, some of those who are asking for a life jacket, have already asked for one and are not being patient for it to reach them, or in fact, not actually drowning.

Some of you are probably laughing or wondering what the hell do I mean by that strange analogy? What I mean is that, for those who are actually and truly affected by this (such as myself), should honestly, as haaaard as it may be, BE PATIENT! :O Why be patient before sending multiple tickets? Think about it for one second. ANet has a specific team whom they’ve assigned to throw ‘life jackets’.

Each ticket is a number at the DMV. (errrrmehgerrrrd i hate that place) We pull a number and take a seat and pray that our time there is less than a dreadful hour. They will call our number as soon as they are done with their current client. Our number gets called, we go up, and tell them “I need to do this”. They work on it, we pay them, we kick rocks outta there! On to the next one. Now, as I said, we pull ONE number, NOT the whole roll -__-.. Why don’t I pull the whole roll? Because they are going to slow down even further looking at every single number for that same person who decided it would speed things up when in turn, took the same amount of time getting to the first initial number they pulled and even longer to get through the duplicates. GREAT JOB GUYS, you made my time at the DMV even longer!!

That is EXACTLY what happens when submitting duplicate tickets for the same issue because you do not have the patience to wait for a reply. In turn, they take even longer to process each of your tickets that you initially pulled because they must investigate each one as if it were a separate situation.

I know a bunch of you are thinking, “well, what the heck, I never get a reply” or “they take so long to reply so I send another to be sure”. Think about how many people are doing EXACTLY that.. this is the reasoning behind such an untimely response.

In conclusion, I will leave you with my BEST advice to give to everyone and anyone who wants to send a ticket to ANet for this “BUG” or any other issue. That is to use their Website’s “BUG” submission form. It is to my belief and many others out there, that this will yield better/more satisfactory results than the “in-game” bug report. Also, please, do us all a favor and just be patient! Send one ticket, JUST ONE, and wait for their response to populate into your email’s inbox. At that point in time, if you deem it necessary to reply to their cut/paste PSA, then you may do so by replying to the SAME chain email, DO NOT create another ticket as it will only slow the process down for yourself and others.

I would like to remind everyone that this post is according to my sole beliefs, whether or not you follow is up to you. I do wish this issue to be resolved as soon as possible as it is NOT pleasant to have to wait for something we’ve all worked really hard for. Especially for us veterans which this may not be our first rodeo. I believe with the cooperation of all of you reading this, we can definitely speed things up by just being patient. (Sort of redundant right?)
