yeah, not sure what to do. cant finish and get my last achievement

Gonna bump this for great justice! I’m also stuck at this last achievement!! All I need to get my full Luminescent set!

I can confirm this, tried it with relogging and re-entering the instance multiple times. Same problem, no challenge mote.

What the title says.

I enter the instance with my character, I can do the normal mode from start to finish, but I can’t find the mote to activate challenge mode anywhere. I know it used to be right next to Marjory at the start of the instance, but it seems to have just vanished.

I have the very same problem no matter how many times I try to exit and re-enter the instance, the mote isn’t there

yep, re-entered the instance several times (50?) and no challenge mote. no reply from support yet, but they are probably quite busy

I have this same problem. It is blocking progress on achievements. We have tried it multiple times. With minis out, without minis. With the mission, or just in achievement mode. Nothing works. The little blue flame for the challenge mode simply does not and will not appear in “Meeting the Asura”. This is literally the only thing stopping me from finishing my Lumi set.

Seriously. OCD going bonkers here. Need my boots.

Tried solo and in a party. Challenge mote is gone.

Same problem. I’ve tried in a group and solo, tried going through the whole chapter from the start, tried hiding minis. Nothing seems to work and it’s blocking progress for my guildies.

same. googled and came up with threads months old, saying you just had to keep reloging. that it being missing was common.
But 30+ attempts and its never shown up.

I saw a group advertising that they were doing it. I assume a rare few actually spawn the mote.

Another patch and still not fixed. No response from ArenaNet to bug report yet

Same problem here…no mode…tried it multiple times (even tried login in and out, restarting game, changing map/server – nothing – no mode NPC)…cant progress… And with all those problems they have i dont know if they will patch it any time soon… :/

Yeah, it’s not there. Searched for it multiple times after looking up the location.

Still broken after the two new builds! Come on Anet! fix it!

This has been broken for quite some time now. This most be the lowest priority issue they have or something. Slightly annoying to get all those achievements done for the armor just to have this one block you from finishing it with nothing you can do to get past it.

i dont even understand how this one broke, and the other challenge motes still work

I’m having this problem. I read that someone re-read the letter from the living story, and that spawned it (maybe a coincidence). I tried playing the living story up to it and no luck.

I’ll keep trying…

A progress blocking issue i had to pay for. and not even a response letting us know anet is at least aware of the problem. i am dissappointed but not surprised.

I am also having trouble with this, have tried everything that was mentioned above but the challenge mote is still not there. I hope it gets fixed soon, thanks Anet

Going to add my name to the list of those having trouble with this. Mini activated or not, character swaps, relogs, doesn’t seem to matter what I do, it doesn’t show up.

I’m having the same problem as everyone else. No amount of relogging, story progression manipulation or otherwise seems to help.

one can only hope it’ll be fixed soon

edit: though I have heard that it spawns for some people. if anyone can get it to spawn and can invite me to a party that would be amazing

This mote never activates, regardless of who opens and how many times you open the instance.

Last achie missing to finish my lumi set I was farming VW till my eyes bled out & now this happens..

I am a huge fan of ArenaNet and Guild Wars 2. But from what i’ve read online, this problem has been persistent for a while already and there is still no official response form arena net regarding this. Not even a simple “Yea we will eventually look into that, but untill then no flashy set for you”…

This is ruining my fun, all the work towards that set and now i’m stuck with just 1 little easy simple achievement away.

Please ArenaNet at least talk to us…

Just wanted to give a short update/info. Yes the mote is very buggy. It will eventaully show up. I had to restart the instance about 40 times when I finaly got lucky and was able to finish the achievement. This was 3 days ago, so it definately is doable currently. Just very buged.

Edit: Nothing fancy to do. The challenge mote should be right next to the npc when you spawn in. If you don’t see it, leave and retry. I was solo when I finaly got lucky. Not sure if that makes a difference.

also confirming this. submitted a bug report ingame. anet please fix this asap, it’s a major bug that completely prevents us from completing the chapter 7 achievements.

I have been entering the instance and relogging for well over an hour…about 3-4 times a minute…you do the math. It is not there no matter how much you relog. ArenaNet Help us….

I can also confirm this bug. Tried to finish episode 7 achievements yesterday and the challenge mote wasn’t there. It’s kinda bothering me since it’s the last achievement I need to complete my Luminescent set.

Trying to finish up my achvs today and I ran into this also. Glad to know it’s not just me, but please fix!
