Yeah, I’m also having this issue, which is really annoying because working toward lumi gear is my current goal, and without the ability to complete it, I feel kinda lost, meandering around and not really playing the game at all.

okay i’ll give it a shot, but i mustve tried over 60 times now

edit: are you sure you got the mote before the camera patch hit (ya know, the patch that broke a lot of things)

edit: i’m now at over 100 tries. I give up, please fix this anet

Just wanted to give a short update/info. Yes the mote is very buggy. It will eventaully show up. I had to restart the instance about 40 times when I finaly got lucky and was able to finish the achievement. This was 3 days ago, so it definately is doable currently. Just very buged.

Edit: Nothing fancy to do. The challenge mote should be right next to the npc when you spawn in. If you don’t see it, leave and retry. I was solo when I finaly got lucky. Not sure if that makes a difference.

There were like 2~ patches since then. Even so I tried about 50-60 times before giving up.

i spent a little over an hour, going in, relogging and so on…no mole. Gave up.

Same.Since new stability system came out its impossible to complete this achievement over 50 tryes here.

given the fact that this completely block the achievements on chapter 7, this should be a HIGH priority fix arenanet!

P.S. furthermore this bug completely blocks the completion of the luminescent set. way to go! FIX IT NOW! :P

I’ve done some research on this, and it seems to have been an issue in the past, but apparently now it cease to even exists. I’ve spent about 3 hours yesterday conducting whatever experiments I can brainstorm to make the challenge mote appear.

The last patch did have a handful of issues, and maybe the accidental deletion of this challenge mote was one of them?

Anyhow I just wanted to make a post about it in case no one else has said anything, and will apologize in advance if this topic is redundant. I’m only missing one more piece of the luminescent set, and would regret not making this post if the living story disappears.

they cannot afford to not repair this. if someone unlocked the chapter 7 for gems, i.e. real money and cannot complete it, it’s a big problem. it kind of boggles my mind, why it’s not emergency fixed yet. i am missing that crap too….

Can confirm it’s just not there.
I re-entered the instance like 10 times now and it never appears.
Please fix this asap it’s blocking my progress

its frustrating when you spend gems on stuff that ends up being broken

if i was you, i would open a ticket, demanding a fix immediately, or a refund. they have to rspond to that. seeing as noone from anet replies here, it may shed some light on this crap.

that’s not a ticket, that’s a thread…open a direct ticket with support, demand a refund of 200 gems or a fix.

sorry I didnt explain it correctly. I use the thread to see how long ago i dropped a ticket in. I made an ingame bug report, a support ticket through the site and a thread at the same time. 5 days ago and no response.

Tried a few more times, naturally no luck. Also asked random ppl on my FL to enter alone to see if they see the mote in there, but no luck .. -_+

oh, right. my bad well, i certainly hope this gets fixed asap, it’s making me crazy

Same here last achievement left, but no mote showing up, totally blocks my fun of completing this chapter and the last part of the armor set.(((

Yup it’s bugged. Really annoying to find out, after having done all of the other achievements. Please fix, i just want my shiny boots.

The challenge mote in Meeting the Asura still doesn’t show for me

I haven’t heard a response about this, and I keep meeting more people ingame with the same issue. Are there any plans to fix it so I can finish this achievement?

Same issue for me on “meeting the asura”. No challenge mote appearing.

Have tried restarting the story instance multiple times.
Have restarted guild wars, and restarted computer.
Have tried both with other players and without.
Have tried restarting the LS episode. It wasn’t there, so I did all previous parts of the episode, so that was the active part of story, it still wasn’t there.
Found mention on wiki that there is a bug that it is sometimes invisible when minis are present in instance, so restarted instance with minis off.
Found video on youtube and walked around the space where the mote appeared in the video pressing ‘f’ repeatedly.

Nothing has worked so far.

I just tested it, it’s still not spawning, the patch had no fix in it. The fps boost is nice though :P

Another patch passed and it is still broken.What we need to do to make anet fix this?This is bullkitten i need this achievement to complete armor,have been trying to complete it everyday,broken for 2 weeks already.Its a shame what such simple bug cant be fixed asap

Gw2 is a great game, but it’s also known that bugs aren’t fixed fast. Even some obvious ones – like a broken, blinking LFG tool – persisted one (or two ? I can’t remember now) weeks before it was fixed.
Resources are relocated on the epansion works, but I bet they will fix it until the end of march. Maybe sooner, game is being patched almost every day, so bug zapping is in progress.

This is a blocking issue, Anet usually takes that somewhat more seriously than “one random event is broken” kind of bugs . The Luminescence set is pretty much the most prestigious armor in game too..

I do understand your frustration. I spend multiple months bumping issue with connectivity (game was purely inaccessible between 6 – 8pm on daily basis) with nearly no response on forum. I am glad that issue is gone.

But as I previously wrote, Anet does not fix things fast. Despite fact how major it is, my bet is it is caused by limitted resources.
Some minor bugs are live for over half a year now (invisibility bug in fractal dungeons for example), so all we can do is to be patient and keep bumping the thread.

My worry is that it wont be fixed, like the other bugs

I’m very frustrated at how it’s been appearing that Arena Net is just neglecting this issue, there’s been no official word on it and that is almost more frustrating to me than the bug itself. I’ve been trying at this for two weeks now and no matter how many times I enter the instance there is no luck. I’ve filed a bug report, I’ve sent in a support ticket. Still nothing. I love this game and I love the people who made it, but if they let this bug slide and continue to not even acknowledge it, that is a betrayal to the players – plain and simple. Arena Net takes pride in it’s catering to the players in this game and they need to stay true to that.
