This just happened for me couple of minutes ago. Our server finally defeated Marionette and at the very start of the event my laptop DC’d. (My girlfriend was playing on our other PC and she did not get any DC during the whole fight)

So after we killed Marionette I did not get any reward? How is this fair? I was active 99% of the whole event and did not get any reward because of the DC which was probably problem with Arena nets servers?

I want justice for this <.<

Same here just now. I was on an overflow with most of my server. We pulled off an awesome comeback win and were cheering the whole final platform fight.
I was even on one of the platform fights killing the last boss. …and then I disconnect from the game, yet I still have internet access. I get back into the game maybe 30 seconds later, but its too late. We won, but I got nothing . I am so depressed because I fought out everything I had to pull off that victory and I get rewarded with a dc. This has happened now to me more than once for this event. Why does the system not give me the reward when I was participating for 99% of the event which won, but get nothing because I disconnected?

Happened to my boyfriend as well.

You know what’s weird though? If after a marionette fight I join into a different overflow or the home server where the marionette is still up, I get the reward twice.

So, to summarize.

  • You DC (doesn’t matter if at the beginning or towards the end), but are active during most of the fight, you get no reward.
  • You join an existing fight 1 minute before the end, you do get the reward.

That’s a bit messed up, right?

Why can’t GW2 remember the status a player left in, just for a few minutes? aka Disconnection Grace Period —> It would solve so many of our problems.
