Purchased DDU; Mistfire Wolf still greyed out [Merged]

We are fully aware of the issue and the dev team is working on a fix that will be applied retroactively to all your characters, but we still don´t have an estimate time for it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Can’t you use a GM tool to manually activate the skill to the users who contacted the support center? Until this is globally fixed at least.
That’s a serious issue. People are paying real money for that.
people PAID real money for it and it’s only a problem after they have our money. this hurts that ‘cares about the customers more than blizzard’ rep. this is what blizzard would do, sell you something that’s broken, they know it’s broken but you find out too late. i haven’t even used the rest of my DD items, they’re in my bank, i just wanted the elite skill for vanity reasons
I have the same problem, my main character has no access to the elite skill, but i have no problems at all with my other 4 characters.
Wow, this problem still isn’t addressed? I bought the DDU for one reason only, to activate the wolf and now it’s not available? Sounds like someone isn’t honoring their end of a legally binding agreement.
Agreed. My Mistfire Wolf skill has NOT worked since day one of the early access. Purchasing the DDE and not getting what I purchased is a poor customer experience.
That being said, I also submitted a ticket about this issue last week in which I was told to submit it as a bug in-game and then my ticket was closed. Bugging it in-game doesn’t fix my issue, and clearly even though AN was made aware of it on multiple fronts, nothing else does either?
Please fix this issue and stop passing it off. I get that AN is very busy, but you really need to stop dropping the ball on these things.
Just purchased the digital deluxe through black lion trade JUST for the summon mistfire wolf skill and.. it’s grayed out. Reallykitten just spent 35$ and didn’t get what I paid for in return.

Just hit 30 on my main and still can’t use the skill. This is a big issue since we have paid real money for this…such bugs should be addressed right away.
Also, providing the time estimate of when it would be fix would be great.

i have the same problem. i just upgraded to deluxe and the wolf skill will not work,
I’m having the same issue. I just bought the DDE with gems and no Mistfire Wolf skill. Hopefully, this will get fixed soon…
I was checking out one of the level 2 character that I have, I remember I created the character before I upgrade to DDU, the Misfire Wolf Elite skill is available for this level 2 character. It’s just not available on the character that I was using when I bought the upgrade which is kind of strange. Shouldn’t it just unlock for all characters that you already have and any new character that you made once you upgrade.
Anyway still waiting for the fix, though sadly I probably won’t even be using it on my main character anymore since she’s already level 80 and I can buy all the Elite skill if I want.
Same problem here, I wish I would have read the support forums before making this purchase. This is terrible customer service and poor communication. You knew darn well that this bug existed and still continued to let people purchase it. To me that is stealing and dishonest. Not even blizzard did such things.
This kinda stuff will drive players away because if you continue to sell knowing its bugged, what other underhanded things will you pull?
And yet again same problem here, upgraded my account to DDE, I have a lv 72 char and yeah no mistfire wolf, so im glad to see im not alone with this, I do trust this will get fixed soon though.

What about giving the 2000 gems back so we can buy the DDU again from another character and get the skill on our main? (or just don’t buy it at all until it’s fixed)
Getting the other really useful (please, get my irony) objects shouldn’t matter, since you’ve stolen our money here.
I’m pretty sure that this case could be a bad advertisement for gw2 if it becomes a legal issue.

I can understand you. I wanted to play with it since level 30 to have fun leveling up, I don’t care about using it on a level 80 character that needs more serious skills to survive the end game. Going to be pretty much useless to me if they don’t fix it really soon (and saying “soon” i mean “yesterday”).
A full refund, if it takes too long, is what i’d want too.
I don’t care about a 5 day personal banker (I’d understand a “forever” personal banker, but 5 days in a game where you can teleport to the bank in every map…) or the other stuff. I just wanted this stupid cool skill.
There is nothing else worth in this DDU and at level 80 you don’t need the wolf.
And the fact that they are still selling it… I’m sure it goes against some laws.

Add me to this list of disgruntled customers. I paid for the upgrade specifically for the Mistfire Wolf, and I cannot use it on my main character who just hit level 30. Fix or refund. This is totally unacceptable. You should not be selling a broken feature!
1) I am very surprised they sent out that Digital Deluxe E-mail about how you can upgrade in game for 2000 gems the other day with this still broken.
2) It needs to get fixed, but people need to simma dan na! I am sure they are working on it.
3) Something that we should get out, is the work around if it works. Buying the upgrade on another character unlocks it for the others on your account, just not that one? So a work around would be to create a new character, buy it with gems, then delete that character, and you will have it on all your others?
Hopefully this gets addressed soon.

Unlikely.
The skill only seems to appear for characters you created after your account was flagged with the DDU. So any characters you already have are pretty much SOL until this is fixed.
And yes, same problem here. Getting more annoying the closer I get to 80.
Ok as someone said early, Give a refund to all off us , so we can buy again the upgrade with a level 1 character , activate the Digital upgrade and then we can delete that level 1 toon.

Im reporting this to my local BBB and also sending an email to The state of washington attorney generals office, this post is proof that they sold and continue selling something that clearly does not work. And there lack of response or taking down the item for sale admits guilt.

Just saw that link a while ago, but the update probably haven’t roll out yet, since when I login and check it’s still lock for my level 80 character that was use to buy the DDU

- The Mistfire Wolf skill will now properly unlock for existing characters on an account after upgrading to Digital Deluxe.
The September 14 update will be deployed tonight at midnight Seattle time.

I’d like to report that this bug is still not fixed (for me at least). I’ve had the deluxe upgrade almost since release and to this day I still can’t use this skill.
There hasn’t been a post on this threads for 5 months, as you can see from the screenshot, the character is only 39 days old, I’ve got the Mini Rytlock in inventory and the skill is still disabled.
I have 4 lvl80 characters and all of them have this skill locked.
I just experienced the same problem for my level 80 character. upgraded to digital deluxe but the mistfire wolf skill didn’t appear for the level 80 character. It only shows up in the alts I have that are low-level. Sent a ticket. Hopefully this is solved.
I bought a copy of digital deluxe edition for myself and my brother. It hasn’t unlocked for any of my characters and it did for my little brothers necro till he used his lvl80 boost and then it relocked. Is there any possible way to get this fixed, I can see you’ve fixed it once and it seems to have reverted to its state pre-4yrs ago. We both really enjoy the game and I’m not allowed to leave the house due to my health, really enjoy not being limited unlike rl =P

2nd—did you purchase only one copy or two ? And did you buy from a authorized reseller or directly from anet?

If you purchased a Digital Deluxe copy of the game recently, and it included Heart of Thorns, there should be no Mistfire Wolf unlock. That’s only for the Digital Deluxe version of the core game, Guild Wars 2. The Digital Deluxe version of Heart of Thorns includes different bonus items.
