Quickdraw the skirmishing GM trait doesn’t adjust it’s cooldown reduction with weapon specific 20% cooldown reduction traits like two handed training or ambidextry.
For example when using traited bonfire the actual cooldown is 8.3sec instead of 6.6sec.

when is Arenanet fixing some behaviour of long bow for rangers?
at start 1500 range – simply not correct ON A SINGLE TARGET!
most of all the skill named “rapid shot”, you go in stealth, and whatever kind of enemy has you in target THEY LOOSE TARGET, but not that SKILL!

hello m8 I can understand some of you frustration with RF keeping hitting you while you stealth but the thing is its a channel skill and its the same with all channel skills if your target were to stealth and have it interupted would pretty much make it useless against Theifs and mesmers Im guessing you are one of these two
and the thing is with the 1500 range on LB is that after 1500 the arrow will start droping makeing it reach further when faceing downslope and shorter when up
and lastly none of these are bugs but intended

Guess this is mentioned already… but;
- U can still not clense, for example Crippled, (and other codis) if u are at full health with Healing Spring…. and crippled can last for a LOOONG time… Its annoying to only have ONE condi cleanse skill that doesn’t work properly.
- Ranged pets fail to taunt. Probably because of the distance and the short reach of the taunt skill. But – still annoying.

240 radius, if there is something near the pet it will taunt, but it won’t taunt a target if it is using its max range
Windborne notes+lingering magic don’t apply the correct amount of regen duration

I just noticed this myself. I’ve been trying out warhorn the last few days with a boon duration build. With 60% boon duration, I should be getting 16 sec regen, as it says in the tool tip, but it’s only 8 sec. With 20% boon duration it’s 6 sec, instead of 12 as it should be.

Why has this been crossed out? The stat loss still happens all the time in PvP.
Bump! These need to be addressed sooner than later. Especially Healing Spring. It’s still a bugged nightmare.
I understand they are more at work with the new expansion, but what i dont get is that they think healing spring isnt urgent to fix. I Always used this skill, and now its broken so hard that its not even usuable. Really sad about this. Why should i buy an expansion if the core skills dont even work.

skill 4 (Bonfire) on torch grants me 5 1/4sec burning duration, with super veggie pizza (+36%) condi it adds me only 1sec instead of 1,89sec. This is odd, lost 3k dmg on burning!!!
Extra condition duration is always based on the base duration.
Its also capped at 100% max, and only traits which target a specific weapon or utility skill type can bypass that cap.
Since the base duration for bonfire is 3 seconds per tick, and you’re at 6 in the screenshot, you’ve hit cap.
Clarion Bond will not always activate when you swap pets and in combat. You get the pet swap cool-down and not the effect.
This occurs when you are right about to come out of combat. If you jump off a wall and wait until right before you leave combat and switch pets you can get the cool-down on the pet swap but not the buffs.
Also have had it happen a few times in normal fights but unsure how it happened or a good way to test. I am aware there is a 30 second cool-down.

Not 100% sure, but I noticed if I dodge rolled in or out of Healing Spring, it wouldn’t activate. Only when I walked or ran out and then back into the circle, would it activate.
It does still activate it other players walk into the circle, if damaged, though.

EDIT: Since the Moderator decided to merge my thread with this one, my post makes no sense… The Master trait Ambidexterity in Wilderness Survival is broken.
This trait does not apply a reduced cooldown to Torch skills (Throw Torch), but it DOES work for Dagger.

- Shortbow arrows don’t pierce with the trait “Light on your feet” from the Skirmishing specialisation.
- Daze duration is not increased with the trait “Moment of clarity” from Marksmanship specialisation for compagnon daze (pink moa) or storm spirit daze.

That part is not a bug – pet’s condition duration != ranger’s condition duration, this is also true for effects like daze.

In PvP when a Ranger dies and goes to respawn, for a split second the pet comes back where the player died at. It will trigger any trap type skills set down.
Actually I don’t know if its any of these types of skills, but I can say for certain it will trigger my Spike Trap and Flame Trap if I put them down. Its kinda annoying cause I want to lay them ASAP so I can be ready for the next fight but I have to wait to see the Ranger respawn first.

This is not limited to PvP and happens in WvW too. The pet is there in it’s entirety you can use abilities on it. If you are good you can CC it until you kill it, unconfirmed if the ranger then has a dead pet.

Dunno if its a ranger thing, or projectile bug but yeah.. obstructed by thin air is not fun..
I’m having same issue with dagger #5 and gs #4.
dagger #5 also likes to miss targets on purpose for no reason. just throwing it astray sometimes
I created a new Ranger tonight and started with the river drake. Once I hit level 11, all of my pets got their skills unlocked as they should have except for my drake. The icon for Lightning Breath is just a gray box, and in the pet menu, both it and Chomp are missing. The same thing is occuring with the marsh drake I later tamed. All other pet species work fine. Relogging, closing the game, and swapping out the pets did not work. So drakes are basically useless now, which is bad, because drakes are my favorite pet.
This isn’t a bug, but I just want to report that the changes made to Ranger Spirits make them unworkable in PvP and even PvE! Spirits are now so bad that I could barely stay alive using a Spirits build in a level 80 map.
Sic’um: Your pet rushes at your foe, revealing them and doing increased damage.
Not working as intended, or worded incorrectly.
I tested this with a mesmer friend in a private pvp arena and not once was the enemy revealed or brought out of cloak.
Pet was a raven.
This is the one special that a ranger has to fend off a attack by a thief or mesmer and possibly survive. Without it rangers are sitting ducks against stealth based builds. Also if the enemy has to be targeted for the special to work then it really isn’t a reveal mechanic since target is lost once the enemy enters stealth.
On the topic of ranger I would also like to add that players don’t gamble with their utilities when selecting them. They better work when called upon. Which is why so many rangers don’t gamble by putting spirits on their utility bar with a 75% that they may work… or not.
Otherwise they might be worth using.
No longer being able to throw most of the traps has also impaired the ranger making them even more vulnerable.
A great deal of the defense for ranger was built around being able to move fast, yet the pet acts like an anchor slowing the ranger down if it is in combat, or even if an enemy has just targeted the ranger and not fired an attack the ranger is slowed.
Please make up your minds. They can either rely on speed or not.

You do have to have a target selected. Best advice is try to learn the tells of invis spells (the ones that have cast times) or anticipate invis use and cast it before they use it.
Also this is a bug thread not a thread on your opinions of how the ranger class is so please try to keep it on topic.

Update 8/25/2015 – Healing Spring: This skill now also heals your pet when it is initially activated. Activating or unslotting Healing Spring will destroy all previously existing, untriggered Healing Springs.
Healing Spring does not go off when the pet is damaged. You must be damaged first, and then it will heal the pet . . . very poorly. Tested this at length on a solo run against Archmage.
Still very much bugged.

From this thread about pets receiving boons from traits such as “Clarion Bond” and “Vigorous Training.” Not a bug, but more of an oversight.
- Boons from Clarion Bond and Vigorous Training apply before the pet is swapped out which leaves the new pet not receiving any of the boons, even with Fortifying Bond.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
- When a ranger dies in sPvP and respawns, his pet will appear for ~1 second at the death location, and be fully able to be affected by skills and damage.
I have also witnessed this happening in WvW and PvE.
Seems like a lot of bugs, some of which are already in this post are getting reposted so bumping for visibility.

I saw in bug fixes that spectating rangers could cause game crash – just not sure who was crashing, the ranger being spectated or the spectator himself or both.
“Fixed a client crash that occurred when players stopped spectating rangers in PvP.”
Anyway, since the last patch, game started to crash when pvping on my ranger, followed by a hard reset. Anyone else has similar experience?
