Seeing map/armors/stuck/weapons or other art issues?

Second “Art” Bug i found:
The preview of the DUNGEON ARMOR in LIONS ARCH at FORT MARRINER is bugged. What you should see on the screenshot is the FLAME ARMOR. What you see is some “pirate armor” (im not sure). And its not only this vendor. All of them showing the same armor preview. Please fix it. Thanks again, Lauren.

Barbaric Coat – thighs and hips clipping on human female guardian.

I’ve got a good one, although it is unrelated to any sort of armor or weapons, it’s definitely an Art defect. For Norn females, one of the hairstyles (the one used by Eir) includes a headband that can be color-customized. However, there is a section of the headband that remains the same color no matter what you change the rest of the headband to. See below screenshot:

On another note… is there any way that the character selection screen could reflect item graphics that have been disabled? For example, if the helm is hidden for that character in-game, could it be hidden on the character selection screen as well?
Not a bug but an inconsistancy of the set. You can see that the Whispers Coat has a triangular cutout below the waist area(or small of back or top of butt =P w/e you want to call it) but the whispers leggings waistband interferes with this. The front of the whispers leggings have a cuttout to accentuate the design as seen in the second pic.
Armor Art Issue – Vigil Heavy Armor Legs/Boots – Human Male
Items in question – “Vigil Leggings”; “Vigil Boots”
Heavy armor, level 80 rare, sold by Crusader Eira [Armorsmith] at Vigil Keep.
There seems to be something up with the legs/boots from the Vigil order heavy armor set. Aside from a bit of the neck and face, the only place this armor set shows skin is the… ankles?!?
Many of the heavy boot graphics on Human Male are made up of two separate parts, a ‘shinguard’ and then a ‘bootie’, rather than being one complete unit. On these types of sets, the ‘innerwear’ portion of the leg armor will actually extend down through the shinguard and well below the ankle so that when the shinguard and bootie are slipped over the legging, it unifies into a complete appearance.
This is not the case with the Vigil armor on Human Male and, as a result, it looks really odd. The legs ‘end’ somewhere inside the shinguard, leaving the bare ankles and then the tiny bootie on the bottom.
Possibly related, it seems like the foot portion of this armor is extraordinarily small. Are Male Humans supposed to be that small-footed?
Recommendations: Either have an artist “extend” the graphic for the leggings so that it covers the gap between the bootie and the shinguard, or (preferred) increase the size of the bootie so that it meshes with/tucks under the bottom of the shinguard. The foot seems way too small currently, anyway.
Attached are multiple snippets of screencaps highlighting the issue.
A – Full Vigil heavy armor set as shown in the vendor pane.
B – Full Vigil heavy armor set except different pants I happened to have on me (Level 60 rare “Banded”-type) which shows how the legging comes down to cover the ankle.
C – Full Vigil heavy armor set previewed on a Norn showing that the bootie is large enough that it tucks under the shinguard and looks like a “full” boot without the need to show any bit of the inner legging.
D – Banded pants with no boots, showing how far below the ankle the leggings extend so that it can create a “complete” illusion when a bootie and shinguard graphic are placed over top.
E – Vigil pants with no boots, highlighting how ‘short’ the legging is, preventing it from covering the ankle gap on the Vigil Boots.
Not sure which piece of armor it is, but I think it’s the top and it cuts my character in half – there’s a few pixels of empty distance between the top and bottom of the character. Additionally, my big toe actually sticks out of the side of the shoes – clipping issue.
First picture shows the slice in my body really well, second picture shows it a little, third picture shows the big toe clipping through the shoes on Hero panel as well as the preview panel – which by the way needs some work, some colors get wonky, the preview sometimes carries over odd artifacts from a preview item to the one you’re currently wearing when you clear a single item.

i just wanted to clarify my earlier post.
ALL leather “coats” (not jackets) have clipping issues on the human male model. the pants show through (thighs and bum) as the character stands or runs.
the shoulder pads through which the human long hair clips are the Stalwart’s Shoulders from the pvp models. the coat i use in the example is the Seeker’s Coat, but all coats behave the same

The other day I updated my graphics drivers as suggested for the NVidia GTX 560ti, first to the beta drivers, then to the full actual release drivers which just came out from NVidia. And ever since Rata Sum has been Doing the following: (Note, I’ve re-installed the drivers already twice.)
Logged in to find that it’s actually the entire world doing this.
This is caused by buggy “Ambient Occlusion”.
Disable it in the Nvidia control panel and the problem will go away.
Two issues here.
Both on a norn female ranger (pretty short for a norn, if it makes any difference)
The first one is about the medium orr karma vendor armor, as you can see on the screenshot below, if I go into the bow fighting stance there is a gap between the character and armor models

The rest of the armor parts doesn’t matter, the “bugged” part is a chest piece available to buy for 42k karma from any Orrian temple vendor
Second issue is about two items. Norn Cultural T2 chestpiece and exotic Duelist Pants.
Once you combine the two together there is a visible line at where the item models meet. This is easily spotted as both of the items feature an uncovered stomach area. Screenshot below.

Today i switched my armor from my pve set to my pvp set and then back. My pve set kept the dye color from my pvp set and when i removed (not changed color) the dye and closed my character panel my game crashed. I can no longer remove dye colors from my gear. I can change colors as many times as i wish but whenever i remove dye and close my character panel my game crashes.
weird bouncy animation in combat of all enemies with this type of model (“Steamrider” for example)

The Shaman Reward Breastplate (CoF exotic medium chest armor) makes all shoulders invisible (male norn, other races unknown).

Tooltip icon for the item “Strong Swindler Pants” displays a glove rather than pants. Hopefully this is an appropriate spot to bring this up.
and there are example of many, many, many disappearing little objects on the ground in different angle of my view to them. these issues are everywhere!
Sigh…can’t we just go with “every weapon ever clips with every armor ever”? Ignoring bows and rifles, that’s pretty much the case. Fine, I’ll report what I can.
I’m a Human Male, wearing the Gladiator heavy set (crafted with 125 requirement bought recipes). Most weapons sold by the Durmand Priory clips with armor.
Severe clipping: pistols, focus, mace, sword, shield, torch, warhorn, dagger, axe, scepter
Light clipping: staff, trident, harpoon (small parts going through the shoulderpads)
No clipping: rifle, longbow, shortbow
I hope you can fix these problems. Clipping in 2012. Shamefur dispray. etcetc
Yeah too much clipping for such a beautiful game. Wrecks immersion. Hope they fix soon
Just to add, swindler pants show a glove instead of pants in the inventory panel. This has been reported just wanted to bump it.
Long hair on female characters clips with shields badly. When standing it is somewhat noticable, but when the character starts running, it becomes really visible.
On the screenshot: Human/Female/Guardian with long hair and basic Shield (64c) purchased from Weaponsmith. The same issue occurs with Norn females (as they tend to have even longer hair).
It kinda makes shields unusable, since this kind of clipping is very eye-drawing.
First picture is showing the Berserker’s Masquerade Leggings with the Carrion Flame Greatsword. It has some major clipping issues. Second picture is the same leggings with a Fiery Dragon Sword and a Chimeric Prism Focus. The focus not only clips the leggins, bu the arm as well. Mostly, any large leggings will clip and weapon. My character is a Mesmer.
Found another armor texture bug, this helm (shown in photo 1) is off a Karma vendor, I’m not sure if it bugged before I bought it, but I used a trans stone to replace my helm with the graphic, then noticed the bug (shown in photo 2).

I have some greaves that have clipping issues the name is Seraph-Issue Greaves that i bought in kessex hills ,the balthazar was not there tho i used a transmutation stone but they always clipped even before i got the Baltazar rune on them
I was doing some underwater mining in Bloodtide Coast and came across a Dolphin stuck on the sea floor. It’s trying to move but basically just doing a funky chicken dance.
is it safe to say that u guys have clipping problems with just about everything? this isnt small stuff either. here’s my lowbie sylvari female. the sword seems to be coming out her bum, but besides that, the blue pants are showing through this low level purple skirt item:

this “pants through skirt” clipping problem is on just about all of my characters. doesnt matter the item, pretty much everything.
mask issue on the longest human beard. same for every mask.
Human Male, Heavy Travelen Leggings clip with Vigorous (probably all other types of) Splint Greaves.
Heavy Travelen Leggings are bought from a Karma vendor and the Splint Greaves are level 40 requirement crafted items.
For a game that prides itself in pure cosmetic grinding endgame and high art style this problem should not have passed QA.
EVERY Medium Armour Asura. Coats do clip with EVERY weapon. Almost impossible to preview any weapon. Here are some examples, but this is true for ALL the medium armour coats. EVERY WEAPON IN THE GAME clips!
Daggers and pistols you can not preview at all. They are usually completely submerged inside the coats. Bows clip at the bottom, Shields are barely visible most of the time.
Orrian Reward Breastplate has a distorted bottom. Look at the comparison of the 2 coats, you can clearly see how the Orrian coat has a strange bend and the texture is enlarged and distorted.
Make it straight like all the other coats please.

On the Orrian reward shoulders the skull on the right in the picture floats really high above the shoulders. Looks terrible.

Asura get some pretty awful clipping issues with certain sets. The shoulders on CoF exotic light armor in particular.
Thief has issues with weapons clipping on legs- tbh during the whole leveling with any type of daggers/ swords/ pistols and all types of medium armor (i honestly dont think/remember that a single armor piece did not have issues with weapons clipping trough legs)
I had an idea that may help with some of the dress and duster style armor and I am sure a lot of people would agree. They flare too much away from your rear.. in the cutout in the whispers coat I can swivel my camera around and see all the space between my rump and the coat and it makes no sense.. I know almost all of my weapon clicking with my armor involves this one thing. I realize it might not be a simple fix but I bet it you put a poll up more ppl would like it to lie flat than the bubble butt thing going on now. I think everyone who I know that said they didnt like those styles.. that was the one reason : /
edit: found another issue, I just noticed on the log in screen as I have my shoulders hidden. The Emblazoned Shoulders(lvl 80 exotic LW crafted) float really high off the body.. even with normal armor this would look odd.

This gave me a nice laugh after a CoF explorable run. Went outside the instance and saw this nice person. Eyeballs included. Sorry I am not sure what they are wearing.
The Corrupted Orrian Masque, the light armor helm from the Arah vendor, displays the facial hair of your character on the outside of the helm.
Sylvari face 2 weird shadow in left eye:

Shadows flicker on and off in Sparkfly Fen, randomly, every now and then. It’s very annoying :P
Basically every shadow on screen disappears for about half a second, resulting in a sort of flashing effect on the screen…
Including a screenshot of the location, the red circle indicates the regions where this occurs, haven’t explored more of the zone – so I can’t tell you if it happens everywhere in this zone.
Not sure if it’s only me… This is the only zone I’ve experienced this in.
I’m using an nvidia GTX 550Ti card and an AMD Athlon II X2 processor.
Tried out Norn T2 Medium the other day with the Norn T1 Medium pants… and this happened!

I also have an issue with this. Specifically with the Ghastly Staff animation. I made an earlier topic but deleted the message upon finding this thread.
I got my Ghastly Staff earlier today. Before equipping it I transmuted it with a lvl 80 exotic weapon. Upon equipping it at night in Lion’s arch the glowing animation was not there.
On the other hand, my friend also acquired a Ghastly weapon. His was a Ghastly longbow. The animation on his weapon actually appeared at night in lion’s arch. The difference is that he transmuted his weapon after he equipped it.
My question is: does transmuting the weapon before equipping it have anything to do with the animation problem?
