Seeing map/armors/stuck/weapons or other art issues?
some little issues with my longbow, but it’s not so important
i have some key binds on shift + key and when i play as ranger then UI show for example “shift+E” instead “S+E” as it show when I play as guardian and other classes.
Pretty much all of the light armor hoods on my Necro have used the same model, and it generally clips with all the shoulders I’ve used so far, being 80. I’m currently using the “Corrupted Orrian Masque”, if that helps at all.
Shadows flicker on and off in Sparkfly Fen, randomly, every now and then. It’s very annoying :P
Basically every shadow on screen disappears for about half a second, resulting in a sort of flashing effect on the screen…
Including a screenshot of the location, the red circle indicates the regions where this occurs, haven’t explored more of the zone – so I can’t tell you if it happens everywhere in this zone.
Not sure if it’s only me… This is the only zone I’ve experienced this in.
I’m using an nvidia GTX 550Ti card and an AMD Athlon II X2 processor.

It might not look horrible in the picture, but it is when moving! This happens when breathing in the Hero panel, or when walking / moving (and it gets much worse).
Human Male, equipped : Gladiator Helmet, Gloves, Boots (all crafted lvl 50); De molish Chestplate (bought from Explorer Brokkar); Travelen Leggings; Heavy Tribulation Shoulderguards (bought from Magister Kathryn).
The boots and the leggings still clip (as I have shown in an earlier post).
Although these items can never be equipped together, I found it funny. Previewing the light chest piece changed the way my helmet looked, basically making it symmetrical (what you see in the front = to what’s in the back). And ugly.
I suppose this would count as an art issue! Ghastly Shortbow isn’t displaying it’s particle effects when sheathed, you can see it in my video:
Also, it clips badly with the CoF chest when sheathed (also seen in the video)
Tooltip icon for the item “Strong Swindler Pants” displays a glove rather than pants. Hopefully this is an appropriate spot to bring this up.
I think it’s a generic issue for swindler pants actually. Have a ravaging pants which is also having a glove icon.
wow you want all armour clipping issues? seriously i dont think i have seen any armour pretty much that doesnt have issues with holstered clipping…..and i play almost all classes.

This is driving me a little nuts, but it seems like through all the armor I’ve upgraded on my way to 80 that the appearance hasn’t changed in some time. And when previewing dungeon sets it shows the same regular looking armor sets for all armor types. Currently in the screenshot I am previewing the cloth set from the flame citadel vendor. I thought it might be an issue with the client so I repaired it but it didn’t fix it. This is happening with multiple characters, I’ve tested with my female Norn warrrior and Syvari male elementalist.
Currently it the SS my elementalist is wearing the following items:
Corrupted Orrian Masque of Carrion
Rampager’s Feathered Mantle of Carrion
Rampager’s Cabalist Coat of the Explorer
Carrion Feathered Gloves of Carrion (rather redundant name btw lol)
Rampager’s Cabalist Legs of the Explorer
Carrion Masquerade Boot of Carrion
disappearing two-handed sword while casting signets as guardian and “bane signet” with no animation even…
My charr characters’ bow goes through my flame legion shaman chestpiece. I changed the color of it so it’s more noticable for you to see. Also, it seems the chestpiece is bugged as it stick out a lot through the back?
In the second picture you can see i have just the shoulders on but you can’t see them at all once i equip the chestpiece.
The third picture is how the shoulders should look with the chest equipped also.
So I’m gonna keep this simple. This is a bug for almost every rifle of every female charr of my build I’m quite sure. But essentially the issue is that she never holds the rifle properly while standing around with it. I’m glad to see people have found the other bugs with pistols here though.
The pictures Ive taken are of the aureate(Human rifle) And the legionnaire (Charr rifle) I can confirm it does this with almost every rifle in the game though.

Whispers Medium Set
This armor can be purchased in the Order of Whispers headquarters.
Leg Armor and Pistols (Attachment 1+2)
- Pistols are sticking through the clothing (more obvious while moving)
- happens with every pistol skin I’ve tried
Shoulder Armor and Shield (Attachment 3+4)
- the daggers that are embedded on the shoulder armor are sticking through the shield when the character is holding it (especially during animations)
- happens with every shield model that is thin enough
Hair is clipping through the Shield (Attachment 5)
- hair is sticking through the shield during animations (like running) when the shield is seated on the back of the character
- happens with every shield model that is large enough to cover the hair
- noticed this on almost every character that has long hair and a shield
I hope that I could help. Especially the hair/shield clipping looks really bad and it would be awesome if it could be fixed.
Presumably my Asuran toes clipping through my basic leather boots does not count?
I don’t have any screenshots of all the items sadly.
Issues I’ve been encountering:
After swimming, boot textures seem to be messed up. I have noticed this on Winged boots and Exalted Boots. I have also seen a similar issue happen with Conjureror pants in the knee area (it could also occur for the boots as I had them equipped as well). Also, Winged gloves have it happen as well.
The textures turn into a white/red block and is like that till you relog. It doesn’t show up in the Hero panel, I also do not think it shows up to other people. It’s usually in the “trim” areas around the edges, like on the Winged it is where the vine detail is. On the Exalted it is in the fur trim area.

Asura Cultural Weaponsmith Tier 3 – Peacemaker’s weapons animation bug
The following Asura Peacemaker’s weapons are effected with bugged animation: Sword, Focus, Torch, Spear, and Trident.
It appears that the bug is effecting those 5 particular weapons only, whereas all other 14 available Peacemaker’s weapons are producing purple glow animations correctly.
This may be an oversight or a technical issue.
The following screenshots show the animation bug that’s present in the order of Sword, Focus, Torch, Spear, and Trident from top to bottom.
PS. Since this is an official report thread, how come this one is not stickied?

Not sure if this was mentioned, but “preview” is pretty broken. If you equip the helmet on Asura and then the armor after, then helmet changes texture completely breaking itself.
Another issue with preview is you can barely see weapons or sometimes can’t see them at all equipped on Asura character, such as Focus, Daggers or other small items. I suggest to change preview to battle stance instead.
All of this was before today’s patch though.

Going 1 by 1 on what clips through is ridiculous ANET, that should be your job not ours.
You want to know? 90% of the items I wear clip through, gloves and weapons go through skirts and chests, leggings go through boots, big shoulders go through helmets, greatswords go through everything, etc.
It’s idiotic that you are even expecting people to go through this process when you should’ve seen all these problems in testing and beta.
Not an item, but hairstyle issue.
Female Norn dreadlocks hairstyle texture can be seen from the inside at a certain camera angle, ruins the immersion completely. Fill or cover it up, please.

Check the screenshots for the issue. The chest armor is parcially covered by the character chest.

Carrion Acolyte Set (Exotic set) seems to have lots of overlapping/clipping issues with pants and boots on human male. Would be awesome if it could be fixed.

thanks Lauren. u guys did such an amazing job with the armor/weapon visuals. the clipping really does break the immersion for me though, especially with 1-hander holstering. fixes will definitely be very appreciated, whenever they come
and one more for me. this is the Tier 1 norn cultural shoulder piece (got it today, yay). as you can see the long hair is once again the problem; it clips through the fur collar. this is a bummer for those of us who dont like wearing helms =)
for long hair i would suggest you either make it go completely under every collar, or completely over, while moving. the clipping occurs during the run animation as the character moves the shoulders.
in addition, not sure if intentional, but the metal shoulder pieces seem to float in air, away from the shoulders. if this is intentional, it could be a cool effect i suppose. thought id mention it anyway.

Fingers are so crossed for a Vigil legging/boot fix. It may seem like such a silly, minor issue to some, but the bare ankles and tiny feet nearly ruin the entire armor set for me.

The armor has some holes in the back and you can see trough the character from right angle and it somehow wont accept some dyes like gold, it just turns some parts gray.
Also crashes the game if you try to remove dye from the pieces.

I’m hoping this is a bug. This armor is basically one of the armors I actually went female for. With the bug it looks like generic death/darkness armor, without the “bug” it looks awesome and somewhat creepy.
Bugs: All the weapons given as a reward for the personal story quest “Forging the Pact” clip horribly through armor. They also look amazing. Thanks to whoever designed those, they are my favorite skins so far Please fix!
Human male, Penetrating Chestplate of Infiltration + the rest is the level 60 requirement crafted heavy set. (Reinforced Scale set)
Unfortunately, the tooltip on the items is not visible in two of the screenshots I don’t know why, they did appear when I pressed the screenshot button.
I know the Focus and shield are called “Trinity Focus” and “Trinity Shield”, but I can’t remember what the other item is called.

I created a thread earlier today with a graphic bug. I thought it would be better if I posted in this thread too. Bug I Post Earlier Today.
This is also the same graphical error that StarFreeze.3812 (3rd Post In This Thread) is seeing.
StarFreeze.3812Hopefully this picture shows up well enough but as you can see with the armor set I have equipped makes me have two different skin colors. It’s quite noticeable on the neck to see the two differences. The chest and arms are also a different color as well and I’m guessing its not suppose to be this way since no other armor set I’ve seen does this to my character.

I have noticed that the neck on my female human gets discolored to grey as seen in the first screenshot attachment.
- The graphical error does not appear on the login screen, only in-game.
- The graphical error only appears on my female human characters (Which both have the same hair style but different color).
- The graphical error appears regardless of which helmet I am wearing, hidden or shown.
This bug did not occur on launch, I can’t recall exactly when it first showed up but it’s been roughly a week, give or take.
I have also attached screenshots of my settings in case they prove to be of any use.
I am using a Radeon 6870 with Version 12.8 Drivers.

Problems: Seen in gw064.jpg, the boots sometimes display the wrong dye colour (they’re meant to be totally black near the top) and my characters legs are seen clipping through the boots. The dye thing seems to mess up when I take off and put on my pants a few times… Unsure exactly what causes it. Re-equiping doesn’t help.
Seen in gw063.jpg: If I take off my pants (maybe they were broken or something) my character has an obvious ‘cut’ separating the top and bottom half. Also my shoulderplate on the left of the image is seen clipping quite severely with my armour. It’s less obvious because of the dyes picked (I remembered about this just before hitting submit).
Seen in gw063 and gw066.jpg: My mask clips with my hair and collar. My eyebrows also clip through the mask.
Seen in gw067: Hard to show this one… I dyed it green to make it easier to see. When my character moves (emulated by spinning him in the Hero window) my dress-thing sways and clips with my leg. You can also see the colour my boots usually are (compared to their appearance in gw064.jpg).

I have a graphical bug when I use or preview the crafted Leather pants (like Honed Leather Pants etc) together with a short chestpiece (like Krytan medium armor chestpeice from Gemshop, as well as the light armor chestpieces I’ve previewed it with)
My character is a female human, ranger. I did use the in-game bug to report this the first time I noticed it, but as nothing were changed in the latest patches. I decided to take it here once i found the thread
Here is the attached files. One if with the Krytan armor piece, the other is with a light armor piece.
Would love to see this glitch fixed, as I do like those pants.. but I am quite disturbed to see my character without a midriff smiles

Masquerade armor in PvP locker is not showing correct skin. The name/icons looks like it should be referring to the armor on the right below (image from Google), however, the armor preview shows the tribal style set seen on the screen shot I took(bottom left).
Please fix, really looking forward to having the armor on the right in sPvP!

My Ghastly Hammer (from Ascalonian Catacombs) with the blue glow/animation at night time is slightly bugged, sometimes it shows, sometimes not (and all the time it was night time). The glow does not show in dungeons either (which it should, as the enemies in AC have it on too)

It probably isn’t supposed to glow when sheathed.

dunno if it is reported already, but there is a bug related to Winged armor on human female character, where the belly is “cut” in half. It is especially noticeable during idle animation when character stretch hands upward and lean back a little bit – but it is visible other situations and angel as well.

Is the rainbow jellyfish (HoM reward pet) supposed to look exactly the same as the blue jellyfish?
My understanding was that the HoM pets are unique skins for existing pets, so they have the same stats, skills etc. but look different. At the moment the jellyfish is completely identical to something anyone can get on a quick trip to LA, which is a little dissapointing.

In the CoF Dungeon there are a couple of exploits which people are heavilly abusing. You can get some seals in a fast way with bugging the game. I took screenshots so you can see where the problems are.

Another thing; When you get to that lava jumping part where the NPC Magg needs a piece of that rock. People can leave the instance. If only 1 guy is inside, everything is 10 times more easier to do.
After wards people can rejoin and proceed as normal without the hazzle and struggle of doing that “small” event.
As you can see on the picture, you can skip the part where Magg will plant a bomb to open up the door to the final boss.
I hope you guys will fix this soon BUT… lower the frigging timers cause dungeons are not a challange anymore, its plain nonesence now and no fun anymore.
Issue with Armor (Armor Art glitch)
Piece of Equipment: Barbaric Legplates (Heavy Armor). As this is most likely an armor art issue, all variants (Knight’s, Berserker’s, Carrion’s, …) are affected.
What’s being observed: the belt around the waist of the character deforms and bends inward while moving – walking/running/attacking – exposing the junction between the surfaces underneath. The result is a “crack” in the character’s right hip and a see-through area, as seen in the screenshot.
Verified on: Human, Male, Warrior
Armor acquired: Crafting (Armorsmith)
I have strange armor glitch that appears only when I enter water. As you can see in the picture there is a red triangle on white ground on the chest piece. I can remove it by re-dying the armor piece. It really is annoying having to do this every time I enter the water though.
The character is a male sylvary mesmer. The armor is transmuted but the skin is the karma armor from Dredgehaunt Cliffs. It is called “Light De Molish Chestpiece of the Traveller”.
Regarding the ascalonian weapons, apparently if you are in a zone that goes from day to night, they will glow normally. If you enter a zone that is in night time already, it doesn’t work. Could be helpful.
The Female Orrian Medium set dye is offset to there corresponding location on the chest piece refer to he attachment. This only affects Female set as the Male set looks fine.
