So…Anet! My man! Why don’t you try and NOT mess up the Mac users’ daily lives? Thanks!
Yep .. add me to the “its not working/broke again” club.
Indeed, TP not working again!
+1 for it not working..
This Issue Really needs to be fixed. This has probably been said many times, but this issue seriously gimps Mac user from making money on the TP. I have a crazy work schedule and for the past 2 months every chance I get to play the TP has been down. If you couldn’t supply the community with a reliable Client you should have never taken on the task of making a Mac Client.
Mine’s gone too…can we get a fix for this soon? It’s really irritating to have a major fixture in this game not working like that.
Worked for me last night, logged in today and it’s broken. It’s really frustrating. Please fix this ongoing problem!!!
There was an Apple security update pushed out today. Wonder if it patched a loophole ANet was availing themselves of.
I agree. It was probably the Apple security update that was pushed… TP broken here. None of the ‘fixes’ have worked.
There’s a Dev post somewhere confirming the issues. They said they’ll work to get a new certificate in place, as the heartbleed virus needed to be patched.

Sure: ‘The team is working on it’. Please, don’t work, just fix it! Once and for all.
I’m in the club again too! And I just bought gems! Earlier that day
That OS update is the problem. TP worked fine. Logged off. Did patch. Ate dinner… No TP when I came back to the game. How do I take it back!
I haven’t applied the security update but TP isn’t working. It worked yesterday. Not sure what happened?
Before applying security update TP not working, after applying security update TP also not working…. maybe it’s another problem on Anet side
Tp not working here either, restarted my computer and the client hundreds of times and just an infini loading circle mocking me. Thanks.
did no update on mac but BLTP is not working the window is on infinite loading ……
did a-net stopped fixing this problem since they give us some kind of “work around” last time?
this is a serious and annoying issue!
and why a-net needs us to report the issue every time , why can’t you just fix the problem?
and if you can’t fix the problem why did you even launch this eternal beta client for mac?
Last time I reported this issue I got told that it was my fault because I didnt meet min spec, Im now playing on a comp that meets the rec. spec and same issue. So after having an argument and basically cracking my skull against a brick wall of “we don’t care” I don’t feel like reporting it :/
And they say no insulting to their staffs lol. On top of that, they deleted one of my posts and granted me an infraction point. Really.
I run on a mac as well and it has all the required specs but BLTC is not working for me nor is it working for my friend who also has a mac.
Not sure if you guys know this or not buuuuut Trading Post doesn’t load. Anyone else having the same problem? :P
It seems the problem is because Anet is updating a new certificate again as stated in below link, they also told the BLTC on Mac Beta Client will be impacted again. Guess we just need to wait until its done.

Well I’m glad they’re acknowledging the issue instead of maintaining silence, but that post was made 9 hours ago. How long does it take to apply a certificate? (I truly don’t know the answer)
Well I guess I’ll just stop playing the game for a week again. They’ll hopefully have it sorted out by then.

i know that feel cause i got the same situation after i replied in CAPS
Well it’s not hard to paste the article here, since this post has more views than ever. All the thanks to Blair.3796 for notifying us with that.

As you know, we resolved a certificate issue that prevented the Black Lion Trading Company from loading in the Mac Beta Client. This certificate was reissued by our data asset manager, CloudFront, as part of the Heartbleed bug prevention.
We will be re-issuing our certificates related to Guild Wars 2. This process would need to take place regardless of any response to bugs from our service providers. It just so happens that the Guild Wars 2 certificate re-issue and the CloudFront certificate re-issue are taking place within a relatively short span of time.
What this means for Mac Beta Clients is that availability of the Black Lion Trading Company will be impacted again. We apologize that this Guild Wars 2 certificate re-issue is coming on the heels of a previous certificate re-issue that affects your client, but this is a critical update that needs to be made.
We ask you to bear with us again while we complete this process. Thanks for your continued understanding.
… wimper…. sniff-sniff…
No fetching or treats today.

I had not yet applied the Mac update, yet my TP quit when y’all’s did. Correlation =/= causation.
You can do it Anet =) Sorry everything sounds so hateful xP Really appreciate GW2’s availability for the Mac platform. We’re just at a huge handicap when we can’t trade on the BLTC. Hope you guys keep up the good work with the game though, look forward to the point when the BLTC comes back up for Mac users again!
the black lion trading company is absurdly bugged. i have to log in and out multiple times to get it to work. this happens every time i log in
Hey Scotty,
One of the things we’ve seen fix this issue is if you to delete the Guild Wars 2 folder located within your users library folder. Here are some steps to how you can do that:
1 Click on the “Finder” icon located in your dock or the desktop of your computer to make “Finder” the active program in the finder menu bar.
2 Hold down the “Option” key on your keyboard while clicking “Go” in the finder menu bar. A drop-down will appear.
3 While still holding down the “Option” key, click on “Library” in the “Go” drop-down.
4 Once in the Library folder click on Application Support > Guild Wars 2
5 Move the entire Guild Wars 2 folder to the trash and then empty the trash. The next time you launch the BLTP it should load up.
I did it but my launcher doest not appears anymore lol. What I have to do? Reinstall the game?
+1 for tp not working. I get the infinite loading spin.
BLTC not working on my end either. It was working fine earlier but all of a sudden it isn’t working and there’s just that annoying circle.
I have faith in ArenaNet fixing the problem, it will be resolved soon
works on windows, doesnt work on mac.
its stupid cz its better for economy that im fliping the post, giving a 15% gold sink, instead of flooding the game with more gold from dungeons. pull it together arenanet.

I did the same, and now my menu doesn’t work by clicking on it with mouse. Icons work thou, if I use hot keys
And indeed AGAIN the TP has died on me (and many others as well). It went fine after the April 15th update, then three updates later the TP died. Please guys, we Mac users desperately need the fix!
Not working again. Biggest pity once again is that Anet seems not to have any respect for it’s Mac customers, choosing to ignore the threads on the topic, rather than explaining the what, why and when on a regular basis.
They have customer community specialists on staff, what on earth do these people do if not read and update the forums? Especially for real service outages for an entire segment of the customer base.

It’s an update of the certificate or something (something technical that I’m too old to understand!) so we should be patient for a little while. I’ve saved the higher valued stuff to sell on TP in my bank until it’s resolved. Everything else I’ve salvaged for materials & Magic Find.
Big hugs and smiles
tp down again. hope it can be up soon. anet you can do it!
Patient? Ha ha.
I’m exclusively playing in Windows now. Lucky to have that option available, or I would have been tearing my hair out.

Sorry Penelope, but I simply don’t agree that this constitutes sufficient due diligence or care. Regardless of one’s age, one can understand that the problem was foreseeable the second time around, and yet they went ahead anyway without any clear resolution. They do not provide information on how or how long, and, quite frankly, even the why is somewhat of a mystery.
My key point, however, is that they are not on THIS thread, the one that their community is on and therefore the one that matters.
I do like hugs though.
Does anyone with more technical expertise than me know how long the process of re-issuing certificates is generally expected to take?

Any temporal fix? No estimated time for the solution?
I see I’m not the only one. Booo for TP being down ;~; It was working pretty consistently for me just before the patch. I guess they’ve got some things to smooth out again with new coding. This is just extra frustrating for me right now cause my main is glitched out so I can’t play properly with her (might be a while before I get a tech support response on that since they’ve got a lot of other things to fix after the patch), so I’m playing a new character without TP >_>
Internet hugs and Mac solidarity all around. This too shall pass
I have already written a ticket to ANET after problems I had with BLTP when I installed the game 3 weeks ago. A few hours before the April 15th patch TP starting working and I was so excited! Saved all my gear and made 80+ gold. I literally fell in love with the game. Sadly 8 days later, TP has gone down and I cant get it to work. I even tried removing the Guild Wars 2 folder in the support folder. ANET please help! I love TP and want it back up again as well as many others. Maybe another patch like April 15th’s? I think I’m going to try and uninstall then reinstall. Fingers X

I followed the same steps and still not working. The game launches and everything is fine, except “of course” the TP is not loading.
Unfortunately, I had to go back to the old solution, which is using “crossover”. But it’s kinda lame.
ANET, although I’m kinda upset and unsatisfied with the issue, you are still our last chance to solve this issue, so I wish you all the best of luck.

In this case, that’s partially not true. The nature of the heartbleed vulnerability is such that this reissue is precisely what they SHOULD be doing until such time as the entirety of their – and their partners’) OpenSSL-reliant infrastructure is patched.
The part that’s true is due diligence over the past year in getting a Mac clinet out there that is maintainable as transparently to users as their Windows client. That I can’t defend.
