Quietly dealt with the flaky TP issue for the last year.
Lost access last week with everyone else.
The work around posted by staff worked for me and I had a stable TP for the first time ever – for 2 whole days.
Feature patch last night went fine. No issues.
Logged in a few minutes ago, new auto patch and now I’m back to the old flaky TP.
Had to restart the game twice to get past the spinning gold circle that never resolves.
sigh
Yeah, I just logged in after the update. Gem store shows up (not functional though), but no trading post. I’m actually gonna re-install the entire thing when I get time. That might help.
Why in your latest April 15th updates don’t you at least say:
- Broke the Mac client Trading Place again

Reinstall worked for me after updating twice (before reinstall, and after). Remember to clear/delete your local files.

I have been unable to sell anything in the trading post for almost a month. I really hope that this gets fixed soon. I logged on this morning hoping for it to be fixed only to be disappointed. Please fix this soon! I have items taking up space in my bank and inventory that I would really like to sell.
Work around worked for 2 days, you made the update and POW…not working anymore.
While you’re working on fixing this half the staff should be making the Native Client so this stops being an issue entirely, forever, amen.
Well, the TP has been working for me for the most part. I have some problems when I open it away from the actual TP NPC. It won’t load and thus doesn’t allow me to sell things or order things while out and about like I used to be able to do. Other times while at the TP NPC I have to switch back and forth between sell, buy, and such before the other screens will load.
I feel bad for those that can’t get it to work because there are freebies in the gem store they are missing out on. Today it was a magic find booster. During the patch it was free charges and before that other free boosters and such. They all missed out on this and I think that is very unfortunate.

Ok after digging a bit, the TP is NOT working without using a proxy/VPN service. under the normal ISP proxy, it’s not loading :/
For the record, I live in Middle East. Mainly in United Arab Emirates
When the latest fixes were being developed for the game, wasn’t the Mac a test platform? You can imagine it now. Big meeting about readiness to push the latest fixes:

TP was working (most of the time) until the 4/15 rebuild. Now nothing! Can’t even get to the gem store! I’ve missed all the freebies and I’m kittened! WTF?! How do I fix this?
Its been a long run, but the TP works great now! TY anet and to the staff who helped resolve this matter! To celebrate, I was finally able to purchase some gems \O/ wooho!

I’ve loaded the latest patch, currently at a BLTP vendor in DR… can’t get currency exchange to open. Spinning yellow wheel.
Gem Store and TP open, but not the currency exchange.
Latest build and patch today (Apr 17) just stopped working again, was fine after they “fixed it” but once again, spinning yellow wheel, oh joy. Care to try again? Perhaps the fix was not included in the last patch?
Not working again… Were working until they launched a new “patch”.
Working for me last night. All night, on different characters. I can’t tell you Anet what a different play experience is when you have a working TP and can click ‘O’ from anywhere to sell stuff in your bags.

but I cant use it anymore, it refuses to start up gw2 for some unknown reasons.

Ever since the new update and such the gem store is not working at all I tried deleting the support file and it still doesn’t work at all.

Now the TP, sell and currency exchange all work, but the gem store is down again.
Also, it seems to be user-specific to some degree. Last night, I had full access to everything, but my friend couldn’t access anything but the TP.
As with many others, I had no TP since the week after Scarlet died.
With the latest patch, everything works but not at the speed it used too. It usually takes 1-2 minutes just to get the Gem store open, but once that first connection is established, it is relatively painless.

All my lucky stars must be aligned, my tp is still working. After the update it didn’t, then I uninstalled and reinstalled – worked ever since.
I suggest everyone gives that a try. It’s a hassle, but it might save you from future problems.
I don’t know how others are lucky enough, but my TP hasn’t been working for the past 2 days again.
I try re-logs, exit/enter game, change maps and one reinstall.
Just won’t work and honestly… this is becoming very tiresome. I need the TP, I need to buy things.
I’m also a gem purchaser… which makes me want to stop paying real money into this game because it doesn’t work in a huge chunk.
BLTP not working again for me either. It’s been at least 2 days now. Submitted bug report today. Tried deleting GW2 folder from my application support file in the library but that didn’t work either.

Here’s my story. The TP worked fine on Firday, and also on Saturday morning. However, on Saturday afternoon, it stopped coming up. I bootcamped to Windows and have been playing in Windows ever since. I gave a quick check last night on the Mac side, and it still wasn’t coming up.

This worked for me, my BLTP wasn’t working and I closed the cookied process and reloaded GW2…..BLTP was working great!!!!! Thanks for the link and info!!!!
Broken for me again. Workaround worked for a while, but after today’s patch, it won’t work. Have tried every workaround I can find in this thread, and nothing works.
This is really poor maintenance by those in charge.

TP broken for me as of 30 minutes ago… And I’m using Windows.
BLTP never works on mac. At best, it works like holy crap: log out, log in, log out… And again, it doesn’t work at all. It would be better if ANet said: ‘We never going to fit it on mac. Do you understand?’.
Now it broken for me again. The TP keeps showing loading icon. I have tried to exit, killed all processes but not help.
BLTP stopped working for me today. Tried the various work arounds, nothing seems to work ;(. sigh…
(I do appreciate Anet supporting Macs. I hope issues like this don’t cause them to throw in the towel as being too much of a bother. Except for this issue my Mac has run GW2 pretty much flawlessly for over a year).

Yep, down for me too. Restarted computer, deleted cache and app support files. No luck.
Though the gamma problem is being much more aggressive now.

Seriously getting tired of not being able to use this part of the game. If it’s the case where us second-class-citizen Mac users don’t get to play the full game, does that mean we don’t have to pay full price for it?
I’ve done all the “fixes” that aren’t solving the problem and I’m getting really tired of it. How can Blizzard make games that work seamlessly for both platforms but AN can’t? I held off on trying this game for so long because, while I could use Wineskin to make it work myself, I seem to remember an official statement long ago saying explicitly that AN would not make it work for the Mac platform – ever. So I gave my money elsewhere, and I was sad. Then when I found out that it was available for the Mac, I not only purchased it, I forked out money for the deluxe edition.
I know this has turned into a bit of a rant, but several threads reaching double digit pages and very little official word is frustrating. Please, instead of endless peer workarounds for something that by now (betas shouldn’t last more than a year) should be fixed, actually fix it.

TP was working about 4 hours ago, but not working now. No amount of re-opening the game, quiting cookied, restarting the computer, etc. helps. gerrrrrr.
