Have they tried turning it off and on again?

Yeah forums login is up… but game seems to be still broken
Im in the same boat with everyone else and can Not log in! The forum seems to be running at 1/10 speed which keep the number of complaints to a bare minimum

Same thing here. We finally got a good TD run and was a few hits from killing the bosses when the server threw us out. Been getting the same error as posted above ever since. Couldn’t login to the forums even for a long time, game different errors every time. Unspecified error was one of them. And this:
I just started getting “game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time”
i changed nothing and never get this.

yea, I also finally got on the forum using “internet explorer.” I was using firefox and it does not let me log in at all. I still couldn’t login like everyone else here also. I hope they’re not doing the maintenance now at night….
someone tripped on cord after office party ?
happened around 4pm Pacific Time
Tried to login multiple time, got log-in server error, error Code: 42:0:9001:4419. Was first thinking about a password error, so i changed it, it obviously works on the forums but i’m still getting the error from the client and can’t login
I believe the hamster at the anet has finally died rip……….. 3 years of good service
I guess anet needs to install the 64bit client

I’m sure everyone has been experiencing the same problem, when will the game be playable? I’ve seen that they discovered the problem about an hour ago . They had announced to fix it, but hasn’t gave any news just yet? What’s wrong, and what could it be?

Same with me, but while I am bummed the system seems to be down, I am glad that it’s nothing to do with MY system.. I thought I had a virus, or something wrong with My router… till I was finally able to log in here and read that it seems to be a system wide issue.
So it apparently is on ANET’s side, which is now a wait and see for when it’s repaired.
Sucks because I finished a ten hour work day and looked forward to coming home and killing things to de-stress. Ah well… as long as its the network and not my computer, I’ll patiently wait.

Having the same issue as well, but now I finally managed to log on to the website.
Was looking for an excuse to play the Witcher 3 add on for the last 2 months. But I really want to get back to my new build Thief.
and I thought my pc had issues and I was like wtf? a few seconds ago everything was fine.. stupid anet
Same problems. Noticed it first with chat. Could only use “say” chat. No party or guild chat. Could not even send mail. So I hard-logged … fatal error. Then it’s taken me about an hour to able to log onto the forums >.<

I am getting the same as well.
Game will not load, I receive the following error:
Build: 55511
Error Code: 42:0:9001:4419
When I tried to log into the forums I received this error:
Login Error: Portal returned error: — l_c.rb 95 (fangamer:-1).
I went to relog into the forums and apparently even though I received the error, I was logged in.
Also part of the guild wars site is down, or unaccessible, I went to change my password to see if that was the problem and cannot access the password change page.

I got this error about seven times on two different accounts, even typing out the password in notepad and copy+pasting it just be sure. Eventually, this error was replaced with

Seems odd they update on twitter but not in the area they call their “official” support forums.

Finally, I can login:
Bought Guild Wars 2 Pre-Paid Gem Card ==> Got home ==> Hoped on Guild Wars 2 ==> Logged in just fine ==> Started to type in code ==> Got kicked off ==> Waited an hour and … wait … THE SERVERS ARE UP!!!

I’m honestly not real sure how i got logged into the forums to post this since it wouldnt let me but apparently when i clicked reply to post and accepted terms and such it auto logged me in i guess luck is on my side but i still cannot play… i wonder how long we all will be under attack from the dark forces of nonrelog exilment, haha its like a plague for MMORPGS xD

Just managed to get in.
Took me 30 mins just to get a decent logon to the forums. I wouldn’t change your PWD or anything. Apparently, this matters:

So, common sense has left the infrastructure team. What on earth were they thinking about running maintenance during prime-time gaming hours? Not to mention that a lot of people are off this week, and they should have anticipated higher use. Um… blackout periods? So much FAIL!
