It hasn’t been 72 hours exactly, but by the time it is, I’d imagine the office would be closed for the weekend, so I’m jumping the gun a little.

121108-000346 is the ticket number. I was transferred to Payment Review team on Wednesday, but haven’t heard anything since. All information is in the ticket, but I am happy to provide more if it helps.

Now it has actually been 72 hours. I am posting this again as per previous instructions.

because my account was suspended.
I’ve never Exploit illegal programs or bugs while playing a game never!
But my account access was blocked.
So I’ve been send e-mail, but can turn only one answer.

I’m in Australia, we’re a day ahead.
I think I was sold an illegal key as to why I was banned, I at least need confirmation so I can start taking action. I imagine several others posting the last few days might be from the same seller.

4 days with no answer for any company is terrible. The posts here dating 2 months back show this has been standard for a long time.

Hello, my serial code is : XXX and my ingame main character that I’m using is Vulcar.
On wednesday while I was playing running around Kessex Hills doing my hearts and waypoints ,opening map I got a black out on my screen. I close my screen and restart to
open my game and I get the message saying that my account was “terminated due to botting”. At that time obcourse I was very very frustrated knowing the fact that I was never botting, hacking, or using 3rd parties or anything that will do again’st the game rules.I am playing 100% me and pressing the key all the time. Although I never read the agreements rules I know it will not affect me since I don’t know how to altered any games or as we call it hacking. I been playing Guild Wars 1 3 months after it was release and from then on I was never got ban to anything in the game because obcourse I never altered the game and I just play the game just like any other games the way they should be played. I am sorry to tell you this, that I am really frustrated on banning or terminating my account for such a wrong accusation and what hurt me too is that I was a fan and loyal to the game from GW1 to GW2 now.I also bought the Collector’s Edition not only know that the game will still be free playing online but also to support the maintenance of the game.Having the Gems to be purchased in real money is also what I supported, because in this way the game will again maintain the monitoring and maintenance. But all of these care of the game , support, loyal and a fan will just cost me a heartache. I know it’s sound a drama but this is what I felt after getting a message from guild wars ( anet), that my account was Ban/Terminated for doing nothing wrong or do again’ts the game rules.

Please get my account re-activated, I been working so hard on getting every items in the game. Every items I get is all the hours I worked on playing the games and getting less sleep. I bought some gems using my hard work money and even I want to buy more I can not at the moment since I’m a family man with 3 children.
If there’s an inappropriate words along the line on what I’ve said in this message , I apologize and even I want to say more words, I don’t think is needed . I’m hoping this is the right way of sending or contacting the costumer service or a person in charged of my account situation. I’m sending it as a new Ticket. My old ticket was
121107-002338. I know I should only send one ticket per cases , but I’m not sure if the first second or third one was the right way of contacting regarding this issue(s).

This is the third day of my account suspension/termination. Was swept up in bot ban on Thursday evening. I don’t know what else to say other than I don’t bot. I have been spending the last week in Cursed Shore doing karma runs, and I find it disheartening that the advice given out to avoid a bot ban is by avoiding game content. I really enjoy this game, and think its the best on the market atm, but I am not sure what to do now. How can I continue to play this game at the risk of being banned simply becuase there are botters in the same area I am in? I was in an active party, participating, using abilities, talking to my party members and guild members…

Please unban my account. I filled out the necessary info in the ticket that I submitted 121109-000492, but am not sure if it posted correctly. Let me know if I need to provide any additional info.

I’ve been waiting for 3 days now, after I was replied saying that my ticket was elevated to payment review team…

My account was suspended, and I have no idea why, as I have only been playing for 3 days, and I’ve never been anything but courteous in game. Also, my account was purchased from the official website, so there should not be any issue there.

Wow, thats harsh. At launch I was banned for “trying to sell in game money.” and it took 13 days to get my account back. i was about ready to demand a refund.

Anyway 4 days without a response. Come on ArenaNet. With all the money you took from the halloween event, you must be able to hire more people than what seems like the 4 you have currently.

Very similar for me. I was doing an event, I had only been in the area for a few minutes, and was getting a glitch where I was being teleported away from the event enemies. After trying to do the event a few times I was suddenly kicked. Come to find out I was suspended, and I still have no idea why. It’s been 3 days since my ticket as well.

Actually now that you mention it… I was also getting this teleport glitch which I initially thought it was lag, altho I wasn’t getting teleported from any mobs or significant thing just randomly getting sent back a few times

I am confused: Are you saying you purchased directly from us? Or did you purchase from someone who claims to have purchased from our website? If the latter, then it appears whomever originally purchased the code either used a stolen credit card or he issued a charge-back, both of which would invalidate your game code. Alternately, some third parties send out completely bogus codes and they, also, must be rejected.

Ask yourself this: What did you pay for Guild Wars 2? What is the cost from the website? If you paid below the cost on the website, then how in the world did the reseller buy the code legitimately and sell it to you for less than he paid? If you paid the retail price, there still is something wrong with the code that the seller sent you.

We come across these situations all the time, and this is a classic case of fraud. If the situation I’ve described is the one in which you find yourself, your “seller” doesn’t need to speak with our team; your seller needs to give you a complete refund so you can purchase the game directly.

If you purchased directly from us, then please update your ticket to ask for another review.

Hey Gaile! Sorry for offtopic, but if you look in the other threats you will see that many complain they bought on the official site themselves(!) and got banned because of fraudlent code. There seems to be an error in the charging system maybe(?).

I still don´t know why I got suspended account. WTH is that account issue? For kitten. Whats the problem with that company. Let your clients here to talk of your problem all in same topic. If you open another, the moderator have time to move you to here but no one can talk what happen with my account. Thats insane! Im starting become a mad my patience gone. I want any information, any update, anything. And I think no one from support look this topic. ArenaNet have only 58 complaints… only here have more than 9000 in last 3 days. And the ppl who don´t speak english? its so much more than we can imagine. Its not right what Anet doing with us. Why the Hell I was suspended? No one know, no one talk with me. Just the moderator PM me telling he moved my other topics. PUFF! Its time to use that BBB and see what happen.

As you were told, the code that someone sold you is fraudulent. You need to contact the seller and get your money back so you can acquire a legitimate code.

This code was directly bought from your site by my bf , we started playing this game together and I have the confirmation email and everything if needed. He did not use a stolen credit card or file a chargeback. In fact everything was purchased legally and at the same time. I really don’t think you’ll be “stealing a credit card” in the Navy. I’d very much like to know how ArenaNet figures out that a creditcard is “stolen” no reports about it have been made whatsoever because the card was never stolen , it’s his own card..

What he payed for the account is price stated on your website because it was directly purchased from there. To be exact the email says $59.99. Not more, not less. This case can in no way be a fraud unless your own site is “fraudulent”. My “seller” is your website. I’ll update my ticket with additional information. But when I asked for elaboration on the case the GM Copy-pasted his last message. I very much hope the response will actually be read.

SO you are solving my case with this `purchased from our site fraudulently` and deleting my account and what now???

So i will check the payment record for my credit card and see if the money is paid or not.
If it’s not paid then ok, this incident makes sense, but what if it’s paid ?..

There are a few things that could be going on here:

  1. Someone purchased from our official site but used a fraudulent credit card.
  2. Someone purchased from our official site and then did a charge-back or sought a refund. Accounts are closed once the charge-back or refund is fulfilled. Sometimes people post “part of the story” but neglect to give this very relevant bit of info.
  3. The bank that is operating the credit card has flagged this as fraud within their own system, thereby putting a stop on the funds getting to us. This is particularly frustrating because both the buyer and the seller cannot control this middle-man issue.
  4. Most commonly, someone purchases from someone else who purchased from the official site. The code is disabled when that third-party seller is found to have used a fraudulent CC, or when the seller does a charge-back or obtains a refund.

I am not discounting the possibility that there is some sort of issue within the system, but the system processes thousands upon thousands of transactions a day. If there was a purchase problem, I believe we would see more than the occasional forum post, and Support would see a flood of tickets. Neither is the case. Therefore, I believe that this issue is related to one of the causes above.

I absolutely understand how this can happen.
If you got the time read the “blocked player comments” threat. There are many people claiming they bought themselfs, never charged back, not purchasing from someone else. They claim the money simply has not been withdrawn. Although everything else went as it should.
