every time i start guild wars 2 game luncher it crashes i cant log in game becose of that

I keep getting this error. I’m even trying to reinstall or run the client to repair itself. As soon as the client loads it crashes instantly.

Same here, on both my computer and my husband’s. Login UI pops up on mine, but I can’t click on any field or button. Login UI on hubby’s puter doesn’t fully load. I’ve tried repairing my installation with no luck. Both computers on Windows 8.1.

I’m having a similiar problem, but instead of crashing the client just becomes unresponsive. Tried repairing twice.

on my loading screen i see, initialising, and then it dissapears. I see the gw2 is running but can only see my desktop homepage

My launcher freezes, which happens after CoherentUI connects to an IP on port 80 which doesn’t appear to exist (it’s a local IP on my ISP’s network). Since the news section of the launcher never loads, I assume this is what it’s thinking it’s trying to access.

Temporary fix: firewall CoherentUI. Stop it from accessing that IP.

So I had redownloaded the game and all the updates finished and I closed the launcher. When I reopened the launcher nothing on it was responding and the login button was gone. I tried opening and reclosing it and I restarted my computer. I opened the task manager and it said it was running fine so I don’t know what’s up. Please help.

I have a problem sort of like this. The game doesn’t crash, but it won’t show. It downloaded the patch, and then says “initializing” but it just disappears. The client doesn’t show but my computer has it opened.

I opened after the patch as well to find that it doesn’t get further than “initializing”.

The client disappears, but it is still open.

I am experiencing this very same issue as well…

Open the program.. Launcher shows for a brief second, then disappears. Process is still running in the background, with 3-9% CPU usage.

Need anet’s input on the matter.

What do you need from us?

We’re experiencing the same problem after the patch.

Firewall off/net rebooted/pc rebooted/administrator opened/opened from game file instead of shortcut.

I have the same problem as the OP.

I uninstalled the game also, and am trying to install it again because of the same launcher issue. I tried the download exe, the original disk exe. nothing is working and I cannot install the game again.

It’s really a bummer. I was looking forward to the new content/game changes.

Please Anet, reply to this ASAP.
And DON’T TELL ME TO DELETE GW2.dat and run repair because it’ll take 2 days to download everything back. (21gb downloading..)

Likely this has been seen a couple of times already.

We’ll see where we sit on the priority list.

Seems like there’s a number of other problems caused by the patch.

I went back to a settings backup from four days ago and that to didn’t help at all.

Since neither -repair or reinstalling on a different user profile didn’t work, can we at least safely assume that it is Serverside and NOT client side?

I’m not a verizon customer, so it has nothing to do with anet’s problems with vz as an isp.

No repair/reboot/restore helps.

Serverside.. please fix it anet. Or recognize the problem!

Out of curiousity…..any of you have centurylink as an isp?

today after the new patch, only the launcher starts. That’s all, no Log in the game.

Before the last patch, the game was runing fine.

I am experiencing the same problem over here: my launcher stopped working after the update. Restarting and repairing didn’t work and I neither the digital download nor my physical copy of the game allows me to reinstall.

I’ve had the same issue with my login client freezing seconds after I bring it up. I really don’t want to redownload it (dat 4+ hour download no thanks), so here’s to hoping Anet gives us an update on what’s going on.

Same issue here on TS3 with guild and some seem fine others have same problem. Here’s hoping we get a response to this problem soonish.

One of my guildies is also experiencing the same problem.

Same problem here. It freezes shortly after the launcher begins. It shows the exe file was modified today, after I first tried to log in and it froze….

I can’t even download gw2 off the website. It crashes instantly when it gets to the client.

Same here. Don’t bother reinstalling; the installer launcher does the same thing.
