FoW didn’t talk them into joining afaik, they are from Gunnars Hold and have a fair ego (check old matchup threads), they’re there for 1 month to recruit. Infact from what I’ve been told people were saying “we don’t want you” from within 5minutes of them moving and FoW had a queue for EB.

Blergh, right now we have HT/Jd in our BL, and WSR hammering our only remaining EB objective. 40 green dots on minimap in EB (might be an underestimate :o) and outmanned

Hell they’re not on Vabbi and I want them gone, they built 3 Omegas to take out our hills, they blob like nothing I’ve seen on t9 before. FoW’s Jd & WvW has got quite a blob, but we can handle that un-organised group, but this one… oh joy.

Sadly we would have wiped them had everyone been using the pre-built siege (sup AC’s, cata’s the works) but nope thats Vabbi, we defend a T2 Tower to lose an upgrading T3 keep.

Sigh!
Thank god we get two large servers next week, it will be more fun to watch them kick the living crap outta each outer.

We had the queue for EB before they joined the server. A ton of people are joining in for those achievement points.

It was a complete surprise, they did not get talked into joining. And I did not see anyone saying we did not want them. Talked a bit and they seem to be very nice guys.

Don’t worry, if FoW gets kittenbags, I’ll make sure I put them near Legendary defenders

But if aspirine says they’re fine, then I doubt they won’t be.

We had the queue for EB before they joined the server. A ton of people are joining in for those achievement points.

Aye, I should’ve been more clear – the “and fow had a queue” was meant to be, “fow had a queue too” rather than “and they got a queue from them” ^^ I talk to a few FoW quite regularly and so far none have said they are happy with the arrival, and it was a vocalised quite quick.

FoW having queue’s in general is still a wtf moment though, filthy zergers! ;D

Personally, I’ve spent enough time around them.. one of the reasons we left to begin with.

Fissure.. What was with that attack at overlook? You ran at the north gate with alphas and an omega golem, then ran around abit dying.. Oh them plays.

So [HT] really have joined that soon. Well that might just be a game changer in this matchup. And yeah obviously every player on FoW payed them 10 gold to come down to T9 and help us out, how did you figure it out ;D

Like I said before, it’s really the fault of the player, not the server. Report him, it works better.

You can report from your own server ^^ All you gotta do is find him! Even better you can then take his name, pass it to other people and they can report him via adding to block/friends and right click without even having to see him.

The problem is making sure which one is the right one. I don’t condone his actions, but I don’t think it’s as feasible as people think. Rest assured, I’ll keep my eyes open.

Attention to FoW + WSR + Vabbi, fellows, brothers in arms, veteran fighters, new (welcome) players in WvW (coming mostly for achievements), this tip is for you:

1– Considering the World vs. World Season 1 «Castles in the Air» (achievement for 20 points);

2– Considering the difficult to capture Stonemist Castle (SM) 5 times next week;

3– Considering the servers already schedule for next week matchup:
Fissure of Woe ………. Drakkar + Arborstone
Whiteside Ridge ……. Ring of Fire + Blacktide
Vabbi …………………………. Ruins of Surmia + Dzagonur

4– I strongly recommend you get this achievement done this week (just before next Friday reset), to be better than awaiting endless times in Eternal Battlegrounds map for a chance. That being said, when you check EB map and see SM in a different color from yours, travel to there and help your fellows to capture Stonemist Castle, even if you previews finished the achievement, your server teammates will appreciate all the help they can get;

5– Anyway, there are some other achievements that must be done this week to avoid sorrow later, a quick example:
«Complete the jumping puzzle in Obsidian Sanctum» (1 time = 5 achiev. points) which is the jumping puzzle at Eternal Battlegrounds. This is an huge place dominated most of the time by the strongher server in a matchup, where entire guilds camping all day long and it’s the thieves heaven ….. now think about the pain and sorrow to do this 1 time after next Friday reset.

i’d have to discuss this with our server but would vabbi and fow agree on a no defence agreement on friday? so that everyone can get their achievements because the next coming weeks will be insanely hard to cap the most likely high tier keeps from the stronger bronze league servers.

i already got them but this is just for the people that dont already have these and this could be a good chance for everyone to get their achievements.

Almost finished my achievements (buggy SM ticks thwart me, only got 2 on this char!) but even if I hadn’t, I’d rather earn them. You know.. they are meant to be ACHIEVED after all.

I understand what you are saying Laxus, but I like WvW too much to not do anything but let people pass to get achievements. I will try to get them myself, but if I dont I dont care too much if I dont get them.
If I see people wandering alone and seeing but not attacking me I will turn the other way but that is about it from me personally.

Sure if you’re one of them people who follow a commander around all day and just do as he says, then they won’t really be earned because the chances are that you’ll be taking it due to numbers.

I’ve personally already completed this achievement this week and i almost never follow commanders, so most of my caps would have been without the zerg. I’d like to think i “Earned” them, thanks.

Achievements – 13/15, all the “hard” ones are done, the easy ones are left, like killing doly’s and taking camps. did most of them on rest night. They’re easy.

They claimed to be from Desolation, and come across very much as “we were high on the ladder you’re not, so we’re better than you”. Guild name is Mirror [Zero], and commander is called Blame Fate/Blame Your Fate.

I for one will happily wave goodbye to any player on FoW who buys gems to switch server if HT try to do a smash and grab with our servers players. They obviously aren’t committed to FoW so IF that’s what HT do ( I’m yet to have any reason to believe they will though) good luck else where, glory hunting never ends well. As you put it’s speculation and they may be telling the truth about how they are fed up of queues in the tier they was in.

Myself and the guild I’m in are committed to FoW and won’t be leaving in a hurry.

Kinda disappointed in the mass achievement whoring going on in wvw recently, although I want the achievement points/rewards as much as the next guy but if any pver can just come in and zerg farm eb for them all I know is I wont be using the title, just feels pretty empty to me as I have “earned” them myself but whats the point when someone who only plays wvw for one matchup can have the same title?
Also the ICT guy who was hacking has been hacking before. I tried to mention it in one of our previous matchups but my post was removed by a moderator and I was given an infraction

Spoke to a member of the ICT guild. Seems they know whats going on. Disgraceful in my opinion. FoW can win legit and that guild cant play fair. Gives bad name for the guild. I respect the guys on fow that try to report these hackers.

I wasn’t saying FoW are saddos, far from it. But that guild is just a joke. We did 5v15 yesterday against a group of them, and they died like mice. And they run when it’s 1v3 (3 of theirs).
