How to PvP like IoJ.

When zerging: Have arrow cart blueprint in hands and ready to deploy at all times.

1v1 fight: Turn around, head to nearest keep and man cannon.

2v1 fight: Have one person run to nearest keep and man cannon. Have second player Stand in cannon range until it is safe.

3+v1 fight: Congratulations, you now have enough supply to flash build an arrow cart. Stay in arrow cart range until it is safe.

I understand it’s all about the PPT but come on, I’ve never seen a server run so much from fights.

I rarely post but thought I would insert my 2 cents. Please keep in mind the opinions and trolls voiced in the forums are a minority of the server population. While DR has it’s forum warriors and the occasional male chest thumping declaring “I’m better than you are! You (insert kitten word of your choice) suck!” attitude, the majority of DR are the same friendly/helpful folks you would find on any server, who’s voice you do not hear.

We lose some, we win some (though I can wish for more grace on all sides). There have been some fun fights and I solute the quiet majority on a match well played who ever wins by whatever criteria you choose.

And I will still try to delay you from taking camps while shouting in map chat to come save the squishy, L2P, support, staff ele.

My actual opinion is this:

DR: good individual and small team skill. I’m pretty sure the only thing that’s stopped you guys from shooting up the ladder is coverage. Applied on a larger scale your tactics would probably have you rolling some of the servers in the higher tiers. I take the comments in the forum for what they are.

GoM: good coverage and persistance. You guys seem like you probably do a good job helping out the people on your server get into WvW, if the karma train tours running through our EB are any evidence. Really enjoyed some of the fights these last couple match-ups, including a couple LOTR battle type clashes around Golanta where I kept looking over my shoulder for giant elephants crashing through the zergs.

Judging by today’s performance I can only imagine how much they regret it. In the meantime, enjoy your home server going above and beyond to successfully direct you to the way points and repair NPC’s MoW. Embrace the suck. Actually, MoW joined DR because of my guild. We became friends way back when matched up against DH and such, and they eventually wanted to leave IoJ because of the people and general attitude of the people on it. And only 5-6 of them came over if I recall. Did we pay for them? No. Unless you count friendship!

DR—There was no way I thought we were going to survive Hills. Spammed the waypoint and was immediately surrounded by golems. I have definitely been wiped in situations that did not appear to be nearly as dangerous. Turned out to be one of the most exciting things of WvW today for us. I guess one benefit of playing GoM two weeks in a row is that I’m pretty fearless about meleeing with golems now.

Simple stipulations include the following:

• Dont post a screenie with 15 plus of you stomping a DR MoW member. 1-2ish is all it will take. srs.
• Post a screenshot of you stomping a MoW member, but it can’t be the same MoW member 14 other ppl are stomping. 1st one per kills/screenie wins 1g.
• If a server member is nekkid dancing in the background you get 2g
• Falling (MoW) off of a cliff does not count.

Quick call on the bat phone and 5 of my guildies show up and off we go with the pots of red paint in hand to GoM bordeland.

10 minutes and 2 golems later, we have GoMs Garrison.

Then Bay.

Then Hills.

I would trade our Keep in EB for that any day of the week.

Unable to have a regular presence in-game recently, so… I tracked MOS live map and took the following screentshots.

I felt sad about our side in EB, but, well, we don’t have enough zerg groups to fight both enemy servers, or build and man a whole platoon of golems. :-/
