Thanks for trying to help all. It doesn’t look like I have enough in Herald to get the job done, and I’ve had enough after trying this story for days and days. I’m ok with getting waxed in PVP – it is against other humans and I can accept that. I can’t accept the story BS. I’m done with this game and off to the next adventure. Take care all.

I’d like to use some karma to gear my level 80 warrior with a power build. I think I want to use Orr vendors in the temples, but it looks like Berserker armor comes with Grenth runes? If i settle for melandru’s rune, then I get magi’s armor?

I’m a noob and figure that I’m missing something, because that sounds really odd.

what is the best armor set bought with karma for a power warrior?

or am i supposed to get the armor, then pay through the nose for runes?

I’m struggling terribly on the Last HoT story. If I could range, I think I’d be on easy street, but i can’t…. so here I am.

Killing Garm? As soon as i melee him, I get hit with the sniper holds, fire lines, and volleys and am dead before I can move. I can kill him several times of course by kiting, waiting for the barrage to end and then DPSing him….but eventually Eir gets me and I have to start all over. and armor is eventually shot, and I don’t see an armor repair stone in the instance.

I survived Caithe’s ghost ok one time. i think it was because the ghosts didn’t keep resetting when I died. ( I think that is the only reason I made it by Garm the one time).

the other ghost choice seems even worse based on the you tube videos.

when I got the end (one time), the ground collapsed and there weren’t any up-drafts visible – a known bug since Launch i know.

I play video games to have fun. HoT is not fun for me at all. I’ll restate that “for me” part. As such, I am empathizing with the OP and all the others who have such disdain for HoT. I simply hope the next version is better, in that it appeals to my customer segment. Glad you OP types got what you wanted.

The rest of the game I love very much.

I despise Heart Of Thorns with all of my being. I detest the jungle maps and being lost most of the time. I don’t find being tricked by a developer that can drop caves, vines, interactions in the most random places to be anything close to fun.

The story is cool, but the instances are horrid at best. I get disconnected quite often and then i have to start from scratch all over again. I find myself starting new toons and goofing off vs. hanging out in the jungle trying to complete the insipid and inane design of the instances.

I’m a new player as well and hope it is ok that I tag onto this post (seems like helpful people here – and there are lots of posts like this).

for 80 boost, I’m choosing between revenant, elementalist, and warrior.

I’ve leveled each to between 15 and 28 to get a feel for each class. But, I’m fairly lost on how to interpret the meta game – there are many skills and boxes listed that i don’t have yet. I like to pvp to dailies and to level, so i do have some sense of level 80 stuff, but can’t form a vision of what a true level 80 geared out toon will perform. I’d say that i understand the revenant the least – i’m pretty clear at least on the play style for the others.

so, if you were picking from rev, ele, and war and wanted a toon where you felt you could contribute to teams fastest without embarrasing yourself, what would you pick for your 80 boost.
