i have a question tho. ik most of the combs but i think still more that idk, cuz yasterday i was playing CoF and one of the praty said give us fury for 2 min i was like WTF i don’t anything about that :P they kicked me at the endi deserved that XD
The question is how do i give them fury for longer than 10 sec i believe ?

Didn’t they say that the new legendaries will slowly be added? So even with the xpac, there might only be a couple legendaries out and maybe not even the staff yet? But if you don’t like the legendaries now, then my advice is don’t make them but as far I knew, the new set of legendaries weren’t all going to be out at xpac release.

decided to wait, i really love the skin of bifrost but the auto attack just made it bad.
i made up this 3 months with 3500g so i’d save that gold for a new staff leg (if it’s good)
+ the rest of the gold making gear for my other classes nerco/thief

Bifrost is much much cooler. It also fits the ele theme more while incinerator is fire-themed.
Depends on how fast you generate gold it might be worth it to just wait for the new legendaries. Maybe you will like them more.

Speaking of expansion. It seems they keep nerfing eles, especially d/d and soon fresh air too. Staff will soon be the only viable choice in pvp unless the new weapon changes everything.

Staff is already king in open world farming, dungeons, wvw zerg and pretty strong in spvp.

im not that big fan of guard or measmer

Well personal experience isn’t the best source but better than nothing.

I made bolt roughly 2 years ago because I thought “hey so many classes use sword!” instead of my original plan of making juggernaut.
I used the skin for roughly 1 month or less then I realized I actually hate how it looks and never used it since.
tl;dr Make which legendary you like the most, not the one you think you would get the most mileage of.

if i’ll go for a legendary for what classes i like ofc it would be Incinerator. However, i was planning to get bifrost since long time and i prefer how it looks so much

there are a couple of good guides on the internet that you should definitely check out.

the website that i use to check items / create lists of interesting items is www.goldwars2.com (no this is not a goldseller website even though the name sounds fishy xD).

i usually work with exotics, skins and normal crafting materials. depending on the day not everything is viable so you have to keep checking everytime when you want to flip something.

1. yes you can put incinerator on ascended daggers. you can even put any skin on the legendary dagger (i have the fractal skin on mine atm).

2. we don’t know what legendaries get released with hearth of thorns, they said “only a handful” at the start. we also don’t know how they will look like, only that we can’t buy them anymore.

as for incinerator vs bifrost, i have incinerator since early 2013 and i never regretted getting it. it’s one of the best legendaries in the game and fits the ele to 100%.

bifrost is a shiny looking staff but personally i just dont like the model and rainbows so it was never really an option for me, i also dislike staff on ele

i recently crafted the legendary scepter and it’s an awesome looking weapon with a day/night cycle so i would reccomend checking this one out too.

another option is, use your money to flip items on the trading post until you have enough to craft 2

after 2 months of farming here am i ready to craft a legendary for my ele, but I don’t know what I should go for

i like Incinerator for the fast playstyle for PvP, WvW roaming, and it looks awesome with the flames XD

i like bifrost for PvE stuff and WvW/Etom zerg. and it also looks awesome

it’s really hard to decide what i should pick.

~and here are some questions:
1- if i picked Incinerator will i be able to copy the skin and put it in ascended dagger ?
2- should i wait for the new legenderies and save the gold :P ?

If you’re unsure and want to wait, I would actually hold off on making any of the account bound gifts. We don’t know the method for making the new legendaries. They could use different gifts. You don’t want to be stuck with a Gift of Fortune if you need a Gift of Wealth instead. Not with how expensive t6 mats are.

WoodenPotatoes said it’s the same way except for precursor and the weapon gift, but to be safe im gonna farm gold only for now, and wait, the precursor im gonna craft it with the new method. and with that gold buy the t6.

I am almost done with Gift of Mastery, and im gonna farm for Gift of Fortune.
now should i keep them and wait for the new staff legendary or get the bifrost (i really love it. However, im afried the new staff legendary would have better looking than bifrost.

So,
What do you guys think ?
