My main is ele and i want to return to GW2 so my request to you guys is some hints and builds. Mainly i will solo PvE with ofc Story/Leaving Quests.
I always played a staff glass cannon build bcs i love some quick burst dmg with aoe.

Oh I forgot to add my utilities… Use wash the pain away, all the shouts including rebound.

Which ones bcs there are 4 shouts and only 3 spots

So what is the difference between – Magic Gatherer and Rift Closer dailies??

1 . Four Elements Monk
Brand new weapon set: knuckle-dusters (melee)
Passive skill: evasion
High dps with nice CC and maybe teleportation.
2. Battle Mage v2
Brand new weapon set: Main: Sword + Scepter (new skills for off-hand scepter)
3. Pure Wizard
New main-hand weapon: Spellbook (new skills only for main-hand)
Off-hand: Focus
4. Cleric
New weapon set: Mace+Shield
More healing spells (also outside water) and more tanky spells but less dps.

From latest Live Stream from Arena Net we can say for sure that AoE dmg will be nerfed so ….. I can throw away my Staff Dps Ele.
Really – AoE dmg is so OP?? Maybe at WvW it is possible but what else left for me in PvE?

So everybody thinks that everything is ok with that.

There is no such a thing in GW2.
We have Oils and Stone which add bonus to Power or Precision from Vitality and Toughness and we need vice versa items.

Example
""Utility
Required Level: xx
Nourishment(1h,30m): Gain toughness/vitality equal to x% of your power
Gain toughness/vitality equal to x% of your precision
+10 Experience from kills""

I think that the current situation favors the tank builds and hurt dps builds.

Like Oil or Stone but vice versa.

It will be used for farming at orr and s cove so my goal is to kill my foes really quick and go to the next targer.

Here’s my gal, dressed for warfare ^^ She’s a skirmishing trap ranger and beastmaster who’s fond of her pet raven, jaguar and polar bear. She likes to get her hands dirty with a great sword generally, though uses an axe and warhorn as a backup….sometimes she even uses a bow.

So q is – with Radeon HD6850 and 8 GB which CPU is better for more FPS:
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition or Pentium Dual Core G860?
So q is really whats better for GW2 – better overall performance or single core performance??

I personally think a cantrip based build is a better boon generator for staff eles. Mine is 10/10/0/30/20 with the relevant cantrip based traits chosen.

So I choose elem to be a glass-cannon mage with staff as a weapon and ….. I think you know what.
But I dont giving up but I need some suggestions.

I really want to play elem with power/prec/crit gear with staff in my hands.

Simple question :P – which superior sigil is the best for dps staff elem (crit 45/86) with Berserker’s armor and which ones for Scepter/Dagger?? Mainly open world PvE and sometimes dungeons.
Strength / Bloodlust / Battle ??

1 – what can I find at the other side od Hounted Door?
2 – where they are and are they changing theirs locations?

80 staff – Im going with POWER and then Precision, Toughness and Crit Dmd or Vitallity.

What about “On Kill” and “On Weapon Swap” – 2h weapon still gets only 1 bonus and 1h+off gets 2 bonuses.
So one more time – why 2h weapons are in worst position here Anet??

Two sigils translates into different possibilities, and just pure better damage etc. so why 2h weapons are here in worst position?

Whats up with 5% dmg??
Superior Sigil of Bloodlust – > +10 Power each time you kill a foe. (max 25 stacks and ends on down)
or
Superior Sigil of Battle – > Gain 3 stacks of Might (20 seconds) when you swap to this weapon while in combat.

Now?? Which one is better for dps staff elem ??

Keep in mind that second one has a 9-10 second internal cooldown, even though it’s not listed.

I really need help with my build – mostly Im playing single player PvE :P.
To this point I was using this one:

and to lvl 80 it was nice – I was taking 2-3 monsters and win.
But now those 80+ monster are destroying me.
Maybe I need to change weapon – I really like staff but im open to suggestions.

If D/D elem needs – what about staff elem ??
One thing keeping staff elem above 0 dps – combos – builds without arcana doesnt exists.

But if some spell apply cond dmg it means that initial dmg is working with crit dmg and burning or bleding gos after does not?

Like in topic:
Does critical damage works on all spells?
Also on AoE? Like Lava Font or Burning Retreat?

MISSING PAYMENT
I immediately sent a bug report in the game but through the night I did not get a response or my silvers.
I sold (now its about 7 hours ago) 2 items – Unid. Yellow Dye (rare) and Super. Rune Of The Centaur and I got payment in Pick-Up tab only for first one.
So I wait for the few minutes and send bug raport.

Please – I want screenshots. Im staff ele too with prec/power/crit items and want to see that. If you cant provide some evidence I assume you are full of kitten.
And please show me (screens) your big damage at PvP. I want to know which our spell does such dmg.
