Guild Wars 2

Chris on the topic of PvE, what about Guilds? More than a year, and no guild management tools of any kind. Guild Missions were a step in the right direction, but after these many months, there was not another update.

By the way, it’s awesome that you are responding to the community, keep up the awesome work that you guys do!

I have this same problem. Using Firefox (the latest one). I’ll click Login, and then it takes about 10 seconds to actually login to the forums.

Right now I’m a full Berserker Warrior with a Shatter Build. Thing is, I’m not too keen on being a Berserker, as I like to live longer. I like my Guardian because he can take a lot of damage, as well as dish out some damage as well. I plan to take my Mesmer into higher level Fractals as well, and to me, full Berseker gear just doesn’t cut it sometimes.

So basically, I was wondering if I should add in some Toughness in there? So the stats that I would be going for would be: “Power / Precision / Toughness”.

Also which is better to go for first: Precision or Critical Damage?

I have been having this issue since launch. I actually wrote a post about this 7 months ago, but yet the issue still persists. I have even re-formatted my computer at least 2 times since then, but the issue still happens.

I can not whisper people sometimes. If I right-click their name and whisper, the whisper dialogue will not appear in the chat box. Even if I manually whisper them, and send the message, it will take 10+ minutes to actually send the message to the person.

I have tried this with numerous people, and after about 10 minutes or so, the chat box will then start to cycle through all the people that I have tried to whisper. Here is another thread that shows a similar issue.

Hi there! If you’re looking for a guild to play with, Eternal Overwatch may be the one for you. Here are some features about EO:

-We have over 415+ members, and are growing rapidly. All Guild Upgrades completed as well.

I agree with the above points. We need a “Last Log In” column, so we can see when they last logged in. Please A-Net, if there’s one thing you’re going to implement for Guilds, make it that.

Hey Gaile, I’m just wondering if there will be any option for Guild Name changes since you said there might be one for character name changes? I would not mind even if I had to buy it from the Gem Store. You can even have it where you’re only allowed one time to change your guild name for a fee.

But I would really like a guild name change feature if you guys are thinking about doing one. I’m not asking for a time- table or anything, just if you guys are considering it. Thank you for your understanding.

I had Guild Wars 2 on my 7200 RPM HDD before, and it was pretty fast. 2 weeks later, I buy a SSD, install Windows, and re-install GW2 on to that. I didn’t see any faster loading times, although I did notice a bit of a increase such as 1-2 seconds. Someone told me it was because most of the game is CPU-Bound, hence I wouldn’t see any drastic changes. Hence, now I’m wondering if I should just move it back to my HDD? I have the space, but I rather use it for something else, if it’s not going to benefit me. Thank you.

As a Guild Leader of quite a large guild, it’s a really big hassle to see who is in-active within the guild because there is no way to see when was the last day that person logged in. A simple feature that shows the last time the person logged in, would be greatly beneficial to all management everywhere. I think this is a simple enough idea, and many other MMO’s have this feature.

As well on that topic, if this is not too hard to implement, an feature that shows how much a person has represented a particular guild. For example, let’s say I’m in two different guilds. It would show how long I’ve been Guild 1 / 2, and how much time I spent representing each guild. Like 75% for Guild 1, and only 25% for Guild 2. This would also make life so much easier for guild management.

I’m sure that many others have other great ideas, and I really hope A-Net implements some of these ideas, as it would be very beneficial. Thank you.

When I try to whisper other people in the guild, by right clicking on their name, and then clicking Whisper, nothing happens. The button won’t even respond. However, I can send them a mail, but not whisper them.

This only happens sometimes, but it happens often enough that it gets kind of annoying. If I exit the client, and come back in, it’ll start working again, but after a while it’ll stop. Does anyone also have a similar problem or know a solution to this? Sorry if this the wrong section. I’ll try also posting this later in the bug report section if no one knows. Thanks for your help!

Bump for having passed more than 335+ people in the guild! The guild upgrades are rolling in, and we’ve started to do a lot more in the WvW side, as well as the PvE side. Now’s a great time to join and have fun with us!

My guild is having the same problem as Drogyn. I have already made a guild emblem, but it doesn’t show up in the guild panel. However, something interesting I found out earlier today, was that if you moved the guild panel to the left of your screen, the guild emblem would show up. I know this is a bug, so I hope you guys look into this.

Also, sometimes people still can’t click on the join button. This bug has been mostly eliminated, but it still lingers in some places.
