Also those 174/175 and 162/167 have nothing to do with gift of exploration. To get GoE you need all hearts, poi, waypoints, skill points and vistas, not the areas from that achievement

Change the ‘’Character Model Quality’’ from lowest to low or medium and it will fix that (it’s the last option under graphics)

As for the NPC names you see only the ones that are far away, if you move closer their models will load and names disappear. Don’t know if that a bug or not, but it’s annoying yes.

I used this page to help me with my explorer, it has a list of all the areas in game, now you just have to compare it with your maps.
