Guild Wars 2

- This question doesn’t only relate to The Lost Shores, but also to further updates.

In April I’m off to the army, so my ability to play Guild Wars 2 will definitely be narrowed down to something like one day a month, and with all these updates coming every month I’m kind of getting anxious that ArenaNet will eventually make some achievement that can only be achieved during the period of time these one-time world events happen. Then the day comes that I won’t be around for the one-time world event, nor the achievement, and I’m left there with an achievement on 0 %, uncompleted and uncompletable. This is probably one of the worst things I can imagine in an MMORPG game, because I experienced this several times in my previous MMORPG. My brain hates this kind of stuff!

So, will there be these kind of achievements?

You’re very unfortunate with the hurricane at this time. As far as I’m concerned, there’s a whole lot of Guild Wars 2 players missing out on the event due to the storm, and it would only be inconsiderate of ArenaNet if they didn’t give these players a second chance. I’m not saying this because I’m lagging behind on the achievements, because I don’t, and I wouldn’t care if they only extended the event on US servers, and I live in Norway.

Installed Windows 8 a couple of days ago; Guild Wars 2 runs like a charm :-)

I have the same issue! All actions, be it collecting items or using skills, I got a 1s-1.5s delay on everything. It’s really annoying.

Now I just got a crash while doing events, no loading screen. Gah, Windows 8 is really starting to piss me off.

I have the same issue, and I’m also running Windows 8. Unfortunately, I don’t know any fix to this though…

after the little connectivity incident some moments ago, I keep freezing during the loading screens when entering different areas. By freezing, I mean everything, not just the game. I can for instance not move my cursor, I can not change on-board profile settings with my keyboard and not even CTRL+ALT+DEL is working. The same thing have happened to me with Internet Explorer 10, but it’s weird that Guild Wars 2 suddenly does this after the connectivity incident. It’s been nothing like this for two days, since I upgraded to Windows 8. I would really appreciate if someone from the staff could help me out here.

PS: I’ve only crashed when porting out of overflow server areas.

Unfortunately, the cutscene was bugged for me, but I’m not complaining. I checked YouTube and that was just as good as if I would’ve seen it in game. I enjoyed both that and the instance. Good job, Arenanet!

I freeze everytime I try to enter Ascent to Madness after the crash happened. CTRL+ALT+DEL doesn’t even work. I gotta plug out the power every time (windows 8 )

Is it a bug or am I actually supposed to kill him by myself? It takes forever!!

It really helps to plan ahead. Follow the exact same path every round, and you will get to the end. I was surprised I had been so close the whole time when I finally got there, and was overcome with joy after trying it for 2 consecutive hours.

Now that I think about it, I might’ve mixed up Emissary of the Mad King and It’s a Mad King’s World. I got 3/4 on a It’s a Mad King’s World. What do you guys have on both the achievements?

How can I complete the Emissary of the Mad King achievement? I’ve read that people are on 3/4 whereas I’m on 2/4. I’ve done the labyrinth, the clock tower puzzle, and even played a few rounds in both the Lunatic game and the Rumble game. Is something bugged? I have a feeling I’m missing out on something in the Lunatic game and the Rumble game, but I can’t figure out what!

That would make the Mad King a very perverted king. He’s mad, but not that mad.

It would’ve been so much easier to focus without 10 other people jumping around like mad.

Well done! I’m still struggling. It seems I get worse for each round, because I get more and more annoyed and frustrated! Congrats)

This is a huge disappointment to hear. My OCD will not like having unfinished business which is only available once a year in the achievement log. kitten Arenanet.

I can’t seem to enter the Haunted Doors, and neither can several others. Just like in Act 1, the door either spawns a monster or a trick or treat bag and thus vanishes into the air.

There just ain’t. Don’t suppose there really is a reason to it, but indeed it was a disappointment. I spent several hours on that, and to be honest it was boring me to death.

I have a Norn Warrior who is only level 20. I’ve managed to complete Act 1 even though some of the ghosts were hard to get to and required other players’ help. What really worries me is if I will be unable to complete later events in Act 2, 3 and 4. It would be a bummer if I’d have to wait ‘till next year, when I most possibly won’t be online to do them.

My female thief grew up on the streets and missed out on an opportunity to join the circus and later on joined the Vigil.
