Gold sinks are nice, but you could make them in other areas. Make cosmetic gear cost far more. Those things, but limiting the amount of people who can upgrade / build things is just silly if you ask me.
Well here goes my list of suggestions i would really like to see changed compared to the current model:
1: Armor should not get damaged while being in a WvWvW zone.
The reason i am making this suggestion is i find the current system more a pain then a blessing, and it has resulted in some rather odd moments when you see a number of people running around without wearing half their armor. Just because they are either to lazy to do so, or simply don’t want to spend the cash to repair stuff. Their have even been a number of people who intentionally remove all the armor except the weapons for what ever benefit that would give them.
2: Make more siege things moveable.
I get that we cant move a Trebuchet around but why is it that we cant move an arrow cart from one location to another. Or have a special system in place that would allow people to push a ram from one spot to the next (i mean it floats in the air! how hard could that be).
Simply put i for small things like the arrow cart, ballistae would like to see one person being able to move it around. And for the larger things like a catapult and a ram that multiple people could push it from one spot to the next.
That way it would get more strategic planning since i cant imagine any army would build there weaponry right in the firing line.
3: Improve the vehicle UI.
I would really like to see an improvement on the vehicle UI. For one thing i would not use the 1/3 keys for turning the thing from one side to the other. Why is it that we cant use the A – D key for it or a mouse input (which would of course not respond as quick as otherwise possible while walking).
Also with suggestion 2 in mind i really think yes i am going to grab wow as an example (hate me for it what you will) that we should have a different action bar layout for vehicles.
4: Keep upgrade costs / blue print cost.
I find it rather silly that they have to be payed for with silver. I get the idea behind gold sinks and all but shouldn’t the goal of Anet be that gold sinks are in the armor and materials. Not in the core elements of the game?
I mean what is the point of having to pay for every blue print? Wouldn’t you after having build one realize how to build another one?
Also why aren’t there options currently its a mix of a bit of silver and some supplies and some karma. Why not provide options, and let users them self decide if they wish to buy a keep upgrade with a huge amount of karma or a huge amount of silver or a balanced amount between the two. People who don’t want to spend silver that way can still provide a valuable service by upgrading the keep. Currently i simply never upgrade stuff because i to say it simply “Find it a waste of my silver/gold when its already so hard to get”.
5: See where everybody from your world is in the current world.
What i mean by this is don’t only show the small green dots of fellow players on your map when you are close to them. But make it easier to find out where everybody is and what everybody is doing. This would also help with determining if a battle somewhere is between your world and another or if its between the two other worlds.
Yes i know you could also ask this but an overview would that really hurt that much?
6: Way-points should come standard with a keep.
I don’t get why this has to be an upgrade, walking is probably the biggest frustration WvWvW currently has and yes you could upgrade a keep to get a way-point but the costs for it are so high only guilds who want to claim a keep will bother doing so. Besides that the moments enemies are near it you cant use the way-point anyways anymore. So why not provide it as a standard with every keep?
If you capture a keep it comes with a way-point, this way-point can only be used when there are no enemies near the keep or the keeps walls. Preventing it to be used as an easy way to re spawn close to the keep. And not cause a huge difference between defenders and attackers.
Well that’s my list. Probably a lot of people will hate my suggestions but okay, just my opinion about WvWvW.

And im also off the opinion we really could get a small xp reward for SPVP. You dont have to incude TPVP but SPVP would be really nice.
I fully agree with all your points, especially the camera snapping back. Its to me the biggest annoyance i have had so far. It really feels as smooth as a brick how its implemented right now. And also it not clipping through small bushes is annoying. If you get near anything like a bush, tree or anything and walk close to it. The camera goes beserk.
Also having played MMOs for such a long time i really dislike the zoomed in view. I rather zoom out twice the distance currently possible to get a good idea what is happening around me.
I dont mind downed state.. but i dont get why there should be more then 1 really tiny dps ability. It should be about CC and not about dps while being downed. Currently that is what makes 2v1 really tricky.
It also doesnt create much skill if you ask me. Yes you when on the ground can assist your friends, but the chance that you can get yourself up before somebody drives a flag through your skull is near impossible unless you are close to team mates. In other areas coming 2v1 is something you always have to avoid, its simply not doable for most classes and the ones who can rely on one special skill to pop to do so.
Honestly it needs changing, i think remove any dps abilities from it. Give it CC abilities that have the same range as the finish move. And give them one potent heal, this way the person downed is focussing on himself trying to get himself up to help his team mates. And not fighting along his team mates in a state that takes far longer to kill it sometimes feels.
No. sPvP is completely seperate from WvW and PvE. If you want to level while PvPing, go play WvW.
But what would change if there was the option to gain 1 level for ever 2 levels of valor. I mean nobody would get hurt by it, it wouldn’t disrupt normal leveling in any way either. I really cant see any problems with it, and nobody so far has brought any good arguments against it.
But why, what is so bad of offering a really small xp bonus for doing SPVP, if you compare it with normal PVE content or WvWvW this would be the slowest option with the idea i suggested. It doesnt benefit the people who want to level. And only benefits people who like to focuss on SPVP but also would like to level a bit because of it.
Im happy to see im not the only one who tinks SPVP should be an option for the people who dont wish to level through PVE. For which ever reasons they might have to dislike PVE. Or if they simply prefer PVP
Hopefully Anet will implement this in some way or form. In the near future.
Because then you’d have no incentive to touch the content of the game or WvW. The reward for sPvP, is valor. The reward for PvE/WvW is exp.
Offering people a choice of what? You don’t go sPvP to level, you go there to PvP. The only reason WvW has exp reward is because it uses your PvE character.
All I see here is someone too lazy to play the game and wants an easy way to level 80.
Why do you say an EASY way.. in my suggestion it would grant 1/2 of the valor leveling speed. Meaning it would probably take 10-20 times longer to level through SPVP i cant say that is the “Easy” way >.>
I just would like to have a small option. I really cant see why i should be forced to level through PVE again, and WvWvW is just one option (which is also pvp) why not have the option for SPVP to. I really cant see any bad things about that.
This simply is an option for people who dont want to play PVE and really enjoy SPVP and would like to see a small amount of XP for this.
no. you have WvW and PvE. sPvP should stay PvP only.
But what is the huge problem with giving a small bit of XP. Its highly in efficient even if 1 valor level == 1 real level. And since it doesn’t give any benefit or is bad for anything either. I hardly could see the huge problem with it.
But what is your biggest argument against it then? Just that its doable with other ways? Why not offer more possibilities for people isn’t that always a good thing offering people choices?
Well i was looking around and if this question had been asked on sites like gw2 guru and mmoc. Now i know SPVP doesnt grant any XP but i was wondering what is the reason for this?
Wouldnt it be nice to allow players the choise how they wish to level? For example i dont enjoy the PVE part of the game that much and rather do some PVP from time to time. Still i wouldnt mind gaining a few levels by doing it either.
Now i was wondering why not give a % (like 50%) of valor as XP. So 1 full valor level is half a level of XP. Since valor is harder to level up the benfit wouldnt be that great either.
Now i know people will come with the argument if you dont really care for PVE as much as PVP then why would you want to level up. Well firstly it would be nice for WvWvW to gain more traits. And offer a player a choise, between the standard heart guest and PvPing.
