So you’re saying they never ‘promised’ it if they even put it up in a blog at june 19th, 2012? Barely 6 weeks before the game has released…

Honestly, I was a HUGE fan of GW2. But you need to get off the fanboat and look at the kitten ANet is throwing at us right now with reality. IF they added this at release, it would still be an issue because it creates a wall for players not playing long enough to obtain all the gear / who just started. Which was exactly what they did NOT want barely 4 months ago.

But now they are slowly going to release more parts of the gear and higher tiers of infusions. I dont care if it’s a stat increase of 1% every tier, a stat increase = a stat increase.

Can’t wait until I login and see “LFM Fractals full ascended only”. Oh wait, just asked a refund.

I almost made it online right in time after work. Yes I work on sundays, some people have to run restaurants you know.

Got on my pc about 45 min before the boss died (as I’ve heard from other players). Tried to login and it was dead for 20 min until I finally managed to get online.

Getting tired of these so called one time events… Make them run for one day instead, please?

They should just have added ascended runes which mitgrate that agony instead of whole new gearpieces…

Too late for that now, though.

I did not believe people talking about this ingame until I read it on this website.

Basically, ANet now officially has broken 90% of their promises they made while they were developing Guild Wars 2.

Now let’s add mounts and a raid and we’ve got WoW all over again. A gear treadmill will be here in a couple of days.

Almost forgot subscription.

I think it’s clear that I absolutely do NOT agree with what’s ahead of us!

Keep class nerfs/buffs serperate from PvE and PvP

Indeed, this would almost completely get rid of balancing problems. Some things are OP in PVP but not in PVE and the other way around.

In every MMO with both playstyles theres this never-ending problem. You’ve made it possible to let people have a seperate gearset/traits in The Mists and SPVP, so this could be possible to do aswell right?

Sure its alot of work, but it will avoid alot of trouble.

I wish developers could keep their nerfs/buffs serperate from PvE and PvP.

As of now, all the fun skills are being ruined in PvE because of PvP balance issues. It definately is more work, but it would be so much better if these changes would be kept serperate. For instance, all the ‘fun’ abilities in the game have already been nerfed to the point that there are almost no fun abilities left anymore.

-The Elementalist skill ‘Ride the Lightning’, my friend used to be able to get the vista in LA on the rock (which you get by talking to the NPC who then gives you a launcher), by using this skin and being launched across to the vista. Stuff like this no longer works. The skill itself still works, but the fun part of the skill is gone.

-Basically all teleports (for elementalist atleast) have been nerfed so much that they basically only work to be casted on the ground. In the beta (like shown in one popular elementalist spvp video) you could cast them on higher level stuff and tp there. Another fun skill gone.

-Mesmer portals will most likely be ruined, probably because they’ve been abused in WvWvW to move slow kitten golems 20 times faster across the maps by having multiple mesmer casting the portal. So that’s another fun skill down the drain.

It’s not just these fun skills, but also in general the strength or effectiveness of some classes in PvE that are affected. Unfortunately PvP, as usual, is the reason these skills get nerfed to the ground.

If in the future a MMO developer desides to serperate class changes from PvP and PvE they should get a bloody nobel price. I wish ANet would do this, but I doubt it.

Thanks for reading my little rant,

Underwater combat...

Hmm we’ve no experience with the classes above. Sounds like more fun than for us right now, hehe.

I indeed really hope they improve it. It looks awesome underwater but I just cant find the motivation to explore right now. :-(

Underwater combat...

Hello all,

I have a level 80 guardian and a level 41 necromancer right now. My girlfriend also plays guardian, this is the first MMO she plays and she is nearing level 60 now.

We love the game. Despite many bugs (necromancer… Jagged horror anyone? One of the 40 bugs or so), we’re still having fun.

The one thing that makes me want to punch a hole in the wall and causes my gf to pull her hair out of her head, is underwater combat. Whenever I find a heart or event underwater and start doing it, I just feel like logging off.

First of, I dont understand the logic here. Mobs have the same hp as on land (maybe even higher?), but on my guardian I do maybe 1/3 or half the damage I do with my hammer. Ontop of that it seems that I often am dealing with 3 to 8 mobs at once, taking a god kitten eternity to kill these all and the first one already respawns by the time the last one is dead

Right now I would rather have it the way other MMO’s did. Just give us land skills underwater. Either that or revamp it all. The skills also are incredibly boring.

I have the feeling the november content , Sea of Sorrows, will mostly be underwater. If thats the case, its just another area in the game ill have to avoid…

TLDR; underwater combat is boring, slow and the skills are boring and suck. They should do more damage. Please fix this.

Yours,
A big fan of GW2
