Guild Wars 2

I’m at the “Estate of Decay” quest and I’m kinda frustrated. I hit 80, and the area I’m supposed to be going into is a 70 – 75 (Straights of Devastation). But the trash in this area are virtually impossible for me. I can sometimes survive a one on one fight, but if another enemy joins in I’m done. Just the normal trash, not veterans or anything.

I can’t get anywhere close to the place where the quest wants me to go.

I’m an elementalist and haven’t had any real issues while leveling. I’m certainly not the greatest player ever (obviously) but I don’t think I suck either. I can understand the level 80 endgame areas being challenging, but this is a leveling area with solo questing content. Is gearing an issue at this point? I had heard that gear didn’t really matter so much in this game but it sure feels like I’m undergeared. Which doesn’t make much sense given the area I’m in.

Any ideas?

Or just cheap in general.

My wife’s account got hacked, they left her with crap gear and stole all her mats, which she had a lot of. She’s kitten and I’m trying to help her out by playing her toon for a bit to regain some stuff.

My first goal is gearing her up a little. So where should I start? I don’t have an 80 myself yet so I have no idea what the content is like up here. I’d like to get to a point where I can do the 80 events on cursed shore (I think that’s the place), right now I can only do that with a large group. Solo in that area is a nightmare for me.

Character is a ranger if that matters. Any advice is appreciated. Thx.

Oh great, even better. They transferred her to a European server and the one she was on is full so she can’t even transfer back. sigh

That sucks. Not sure I can talk her into playing any more. She really does like the game, as do I, but yeah.

Any admin have an ETA on that rollback feature? If it’s in the works and should be available soon-ish then we may just not play until that’s an option. Otherwise, I don’t know.

My wife had her account hacked last night. Just got it restored but they cleaned her out. She’s rather kitten because she had a ton of crafting mats saved up in order to level crafting and other characters. Lost everything but the shirt on her back, literally, weapons gone too.

Is there any way to get the account rolled back to the state it was from a few days, or even weeks ago? Otherwise she really doesn’t feel like playing any more, too much time just to get back to where she already was.
