Not seen it working anywhere, tried for days now.
present IP 206.127.146.89

used Mystic Salvage Kit on 245 Glob of Ectoplasm and got 495 Pile of Cristalline Dust = 2.02 Dust per Ecto.

presently at 1084 rare level 80 sta kitten down the mystic forge, no luck yet.

I am presently at 836 level 80 rares that I flushed in the mystic toilet, it seems it might be smarter to buy the precursor in spite of the price.

Oh I also farm world events and fractals, no luck there either.

Exasperating the problem is also the Trade Market “players” that increase the prices for certain things, like the precursors. Here I see that a few are profiting and the players who came later are at a serious disadvantage.

The exploits apparently have been fixed, but the problems have not been fixed. The two things the game makers have to address is 1) how to undo the results of the exploits in the market and bad feelings it has generated in those who did not “profit” and 2) how to get precursors out in a way that is very difficult but doesn’t kill the fun for hard gaming players based on a incredibly unfair roulette system.

My personal feeling is that I have invested a lot of money (gem store) in the game and thus pay the game makers above average funds for a player. I don’t expect to have better chances at things, I am getting my rewards thru the gem store. But I don’t want to be at a disadvantage either! I am presently grinding chests and the mystic toilet to excess. Yet all the others I know who already have the legendary, got the precursor early in a chest drop or after less than 15 tries at the forge… This dissonance makes me feel very bad and angry, not really what a game is supposed to make you feel.

I understand your motives… but anybody that leaves a party without saying anything goes on my blocklist, as well as most other peoples, immediately.

A note on our guild size as that seems important to a lot of people. We have about 30 actives at the moment, this gives us enough influence to easily do the guild missions but small enough that everybody knows everybody else in about 2 weeks. We will stay mid sized as it is nicer to know everybody you play with than being “just another member”.

We will still add a few more as because we are adults with university or jobs and families, we have a real life and GW2 comes after that. Also some will stop playing for a while and come back later, so we need a bit of a buffer

Nobody in our guild rage quits, ever. Though we did have somebody recently ask what a fractal is, everybody explained it to him then. Its a mix of experienced to fairly new players.

We have 2 people farming CoF for marks at the moment. We are only medium sized though, not large. All mature players, average age is 36 I believe.

Gandara has a lot of guilds, unfortunately some of them are nearly inactive and its not much fun being alone in guild chat…

Wolf Pack guild is a middling sized but active guild. Our GW2 guild has 86 members, with about 20 active per day during the week an 38 during the weekends. Presently we are healthy and have dungeon events on weekends and Tuesdays, guild buffs up regularly and our Influence gain is still much higher than our expenditure.

I really don’t understand why the live system has to get worse before it gets better… as a software developer I would not have done it that way myself. It seems to me that the change managements is a bit off there.

But I am glad they are bringing it back and adding the Trade Post preview feature as well. Thanks for the info Ohoni.

The beeping in my case was caused by HW monitors apps that run in the background monitoring HW temperature. Turn of the audio signal or increase the temperature warning to over 80° C / 176° F.

An example in point is GPU meter from addgadgets.com or the monitor programs the the motherboard vendors have.

Note this is NOT the siren bug and not the environment sound bug (bears making loud stomping noises). There are seperate threads for those.

You may have to run the mouse program in Administrator mode. Try that.

I have the same problem, happens a lot unfortunately. It sounds like an electronic alarm clock going off, very loud.

For tech support; my bug report was Ref. # 121031-001102 and includes a dxdiag.txt.
For the non tech support; newest drivers, fresh Windows install, etc…
Setup: Intel i7-3770 3.4GHz, 8 Gigs DDR3-1600, H77 Chipset, Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium, AMD Radeon HD7970, Win7 x64

The beep-beep sound is intermittent during game play. However once it starts the only way to stop if from coming back is to restart the client.

It does not seem to replace any regular sound in the game.

I have had this in solo play in story instances as well as part of regular play in the world. It does not seem to be coupled to a large amount of players being near or any other factor. As far as I can tell its a random occurrence, but happens every few hours games play.

It stops if you put the game in the background (and the game is set to stop sound in the background). But it ignores the master volume control, so it keeps beep-beeping even after all other sounds cease.

On my surround sound setup it only comes from the central speaker (i.e. not left, right or rear left, right).

kicking member blocks entry of new member

We did did AC story mode. All 5 entered dungeon. First guy says “going afk 20 min” at first pull. Since the rest of us didnt want to wait 20 mintues we voted to kick and get a new member.

The kick was successful, his char was left standing in dungeon.

Result was that only 4 people could enter dungeon because the instance was full. “Leaving and reentering” did not help, “disband and regroup” did not help.

All of us were blocked for AC then.

Note: A lot of people don’t do dungeons because of stuff like this. Fix it please it really messes up a key gaming ingredient.
