I’m new and judging by all the negative comments I’m seeing here about their new Ascended Weapons content this is basically the worst game ever? I can’t even use a Rare weapon yet but I’m getting there!

I noticed this cool thing where swamp fractal dungeon seems harder for some reason. It wasn’t already hard enough or anything, but it seems we used to be able to climb trees like normal people, and now we cannot. Tell me. Why is my Ranger who is “one with nature”, as your character creation describes her as, not able to climb up a tree which is fallen over?
No judgement just saying. Most game companies make their games more fun to play, not more of a pain in the kitten than it already is…

I’m just pointing out that every Ranger in GW2 was asking for their Shortbow skills to be fixed. These are good Ranger fixes but we all saw the tidal wave of Rangers upset about the Shortbow, and the amount of people who actually returned their digital copy of GW2 over this… Why no fix Shortbow?

I have used right click to move camera while still, and steer while on the move for the past 8 months. Since the nerf patch, it seems I’ll be holding right click and moving about, then when I let go of right click wherever my mouse was, it highlights the item as if I had simply performed a right click on it. Even after holding right click down for a bit.
This is particularly annoying on my ranger because my pet runs alongside me, and after jogging down a path let go of right click and my pet is now highlighted.
Ugh, please fix this!

You mean they actually shortened the range on it? Wow that’s the exact opposite of everybody in-game I talk to wants!

I don’t like longbows in real life or in game

I’ve played around all the classes a bit and found that I like the Ranger best. She gets a pet!
But the shortbow could have a bit longer range, or maybe there is an upgrade I can get my hands on or a skill to increase range? I decided to play Ranger because they fight from a distance but ehhhh. Shortbow needs longer range. Thanks bye

I recently noticed a glitch with the longbow and shortbow from Ranger. I don’t keep up with the latest news so if this was intentional then I am disappointed. But my question is regarding the 300 range change both longbow and shortbow, will they fix this?
I mean a Ranger is meant to fight from a safe distance like it says in the character creation screen when I made my Ranger, which is why I chose to play a Ranger and buy GW2 from the free trial weekend a few months back.

If they keep the Ranger as it should be with 1200 on the shortbow and 1500 on the longbow, I will stay… If not I am sorry but I will be returning GW2 for a refund.

They can use both types of bows. That looks like proficiency to me. They can summon nature spirits. That looks true as well. And they do in fact tame pets. So what part of that description is it that you have a problem with?

They were proficient with both types of bows. The pets they tame only half the time distract enemies. They no longer strike safely from a distance. Did you not read the patch notes? End.

I don’t think people are “quitting”, but rather returning their copy of GW2 to ArenaNet for a full refund of their purchase price. If Anet does figure a way out a content update that would be good, people won’t buy the game again just for 1 update. Can’t bring people back

Rangers shortbow is nerfed all 5 skills from 1200 to 900… Thanks Anet I’ve wanted to return GW2 for some time now, and this probably enables me to do so.

Interested in guild commendations, World events, Fractals. Not so much WvW or PvP, however do play those 2 modes so basically just want a guild in USA server DRAGONBRAND preferably PST based but anything works currently in a good guild but looking for better.

You have two options on how to fix this Anet;

1. (Soulbound to [character’s name])

or

2. (Account bound) NO MORE soulbound items, it’s annoying having to relog over 11 characters to find the 1 that owns a junk item in my bank so I can dump it for space.

It doesn’t say which character items are soulbound to. Shouldn’t be a “soulbound” to begin with, account bound works fine thanks.

Update on fixing this? Hurry UP Anet god…

Ever since June 11 patch GW2 has basically become unplayable. It’s not even lag or rubber banding on my gaming rig, it’s just froze up as soon as you enter GW2. Internet is fine on both my computers @ roughly 1.2mbs and all my other top shelf graphics games work fine.
tl;dr lol just fix this anet

9/10 logins I encounter the following errors;
Guild interface shows me as only person in guild (Not the only person “online” in guild, just only person in guild)
Get invited to party, accept, shows I am not in party (Can still see party chat)
^Can not join party dungeons due to this.
Other friend/guild errors related to this. Does rather interfere with my gameplay progress. Expect compensation :B jk

I’ve gone through the trouble of uninstalling and reinstalling GW2 in hopes that this issue will be resolved. I only just realized how crippling it is to multiplayer gameplay to not have a guild to chat in, especially in Guild Wars. :P

Yeah! This is a great idea! I’m glad you suggested it!

I’m not going to suggest you make everything account bound, as nice as that would be, but rather just post a character name next to an item which is “Souldbound to another character” so that I don’t have to flip through all 8 of my lvl 80 toons to find which one owns which items I hoard thanks

P.S. And is there a limitation of time I must report offense from the time the offense occured? Other games have a 60 second window that chat and game messages are kept. This happened about 5 minutes ago now.

Do I report an offensive player in-game or on website.? Issue being kicked off a dungeon run after helping through entire dungeon. There was no offense during the dungeon, but I am offended or feel rather “trolled” by whoever kicked me off… Do have names still in chat history, but won’t post them here until I know what direction to go with this.

I am a newbie to gw2, but I finally reached level 80 on my Ranger! : )
So I’ve sold all my lowbie gear and browsing the TP for gear.

I probably already know the answer to this, but any way to scratch out light/heavy items so you know…Easiness occurs?
