Agreed. A short, maybe cartoonish or using a match example, video implemented in-game would be great, better than what is on right now for the new players: having to speak to npcs and going on forums. And, yah, anet applying to the community for the video making could be interesting.

And another point: Anet put some good, original stuff for training in The Mists, but it should maybe be rethought a bit: The Mists map is so big, but there are so much empty spaces between different training posts, the nps bots, the golems,… It might just make a new player feel more lost than anything else unfortunately, a solution would be to rearrange a bit the lay-out, I’m aware it will take time though… and ofc the mists can give that emptiness feeling also cause there are just not a lot of pvp players around (besides afking), I kinda miss all the talks (between newbies and higher players) we could see in map chat before, in AR for example . Vicious circle.
( + My personal opinion: I didn’t really agree with the change of being able to go in pvp matches browser and join tourneys from outside The Mists, thus decreasing that pvp community feeling)

I’m just glad that they made the decision to push ahead with leagues in their current form despite population imbalances because CLEARLY there are no better alternatives or easy fixes.

Normally I don’t post on that thread, but I really liked the proposal, especially the guesting between servers of the same team, since they would have the same goal in common, less abuse guaranteed… that would help out AR a lot for sure and makes the fights more challenging Except if there are some special hostility between 2 servers, or guilds, it might create some drama… but anything is better than all those transfers.

Join Anvil Rock Kae!! Lot of rooms to be filled there! I don’t think we fit to your requirement number 3 now though…More seriously, our active Twin wvwers xfered to Yak’ recently and they seem to have found what they wanted

Anvil Rock needs to be the medium wvw involved server it was some months ago, with a nice wvw coverage, for us to have all fun again, so like Dogvan, I would also gladly welcome any candidats in TWIN or other wvw guilds in our dear server !

[TWIN] had a blast yesterday night in DH BL, we don’t zerg often as most of our members are pvers, normally only small roaming groups, so taking your bay was a bit of a test for us :p Thanks for the nice fights DH.
And that match up is pretty close again .

Well I’m not going to lie : that consoled me a bit for the loss of our upgraded keep and garrison…
There were only a few of us against the NSP zerg, (shame some people in our server were planning to do a golem rush in your BL apparently, quite the bad timing), and when I saw those golems…ugh

It seems as though we are fighting a renewed NSP, and a refined BP. Both servers are very organized in EB and are constantly watching the roads. It puts AR’s EB crew to shame. I hope we can make up our points in the BL’s or at least change the mood of our EB. Recently its been trolling, bickering, and people wanting to attack SM or the grub more than they want to hold towers or supply camps.

Anyways, have fun out there!

I agree about the last part… sigh, lately the EB map chat is just awful, and everybody wanting to kill the grub to get more luck or whatever, (even saw a commander doing that), seriously?! I’m just going less and less on this map….

This is a solo / small group warrior video. I spent almost the entire day messing around in Anvil Rock Borderlands earlier this week. For the earlier part of the day, I was a part of groups ranging from 1-3 members. At one point there were literally 2 BP players including myself in the zone. We were constantly outnumbered! But we persisted! Our camp takes helped keep our point total up, and AR’s down. Eventually we were able to flip some towers with some help; and at the end of the day, while commanding, we were able to take Hills and Garrison after wearing down AR all day.

A longer video than I’d like, but I had almost 3 hours of footage to comb through, so it was really hard narrowing alot of it down! (Not to mention all the fights I didn’t have the camera rolling… I remember one fight where I kept killing Kodiak over, and over, and over again since his zergies kept rezzing him!) I’ll probably try to make multiple shorter videos in the future

@Kashijikito: I also support what you said about Fighting Clubs, was going to ask for one at the end of this match-up I and other TWIN really appreciated the FC with nsp and kaineng last time, as it had been already told, it’s a great drama-free (and lag-free) way to get nice fights. I both zerg and roam but still miss the duel option in this game…
Ps: there is no shame about refusing to fight someone that you know is going to beat you over and over… who did not run away from some fights? I don’t see the traitor issue there and it’s only one individual, I’ve yet to hear about a treaty between TWIN and Os lol. (by the way nice fights tonight in the nsp BL)

Lol, right sorry Anvil, I wanted to say of course : " I was in a AR zerg and we rolled over 2 OS thieves" :p
But on a more serious note, I like to roam when it’s AR downtime, no towers being taken and all, and sometimes I take 3 or 4 TWIN with me to hunt some PAXA… (always enjoy the fight)

Oh I think you’re the mesmer from Envy that I fought in wvw not long ago, you’re the first good mesmer not using ranged attacks that I met.
(I was a AR sylvary ele from TWIN that kept bugging you if you remember)

Location: Behind South Supply Camp of Kaineng BL

All are invited Solo, entire Guilds, or freinds, 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, 5v5, Golem V Golem, etc. We have 150 slot vent if you want to use with us as well, to better coordinate and get some laughs in

Rules:

1. No Spiking, only to down state
2. Both challengers bow to eachother prior to the fight, once some one is down, both bow to eachother afterwards.

This instills friendly conversation and grouping between all three servers as well as make new friends

BTW nice guarding at the hills keep, for the guy manning the mortar, that kept destroying our sneaky catas :’(
And I had some nice fights, in front of the redbriar tower against some kaineng guys, nice not to see always invaders zergs lol.
