Guild Wars 2

Just a quick question as i’m interested in getting the perma pass for this.
If I were to place the pass into a shared inventory slot.
Use the pass in a map like Metrica Province, and logout my character within the Mistlock.
When I log back in will that character still be within Mistlock or in the last place they were in Metrica?

Shes been rather neglected over the past year but i’m slowly starting to get back into playing as her and moving her gear into full ascended, just a few armour pieces to go and she’ll be complete.
Really love playing as her in dungeons/fractals etc right now.

Probably my 2nd most played character on my account (behind my daredevil)

My thief/daredevil Azel Novella.
She’s my main character and around 80% of my play time is spent as her, so if you ever spot a “Novella” asura running around chances are it’s this one!
Fully equipped with ascended armour/trinkets with a set of weapons including the pictured HOPE, Bifrost, Dreamer, Incinirator and Bolt with a Predator rifle waiting in the bank for the 2nd expac elite spec for her to toy with.

“rumors of trouble” Norn story (Lv 20) is broken to me… Game close and see to me error! nah second day…

Came here for this reason too, crashing out on this same story quest.
Same results on both PC’s I own.

From experience I would say its your cpu, This game just isnt optimized to run on anything more than a quad.
I tried a 6 core cpu about a year ago and it literally halved my fps in most places on the game compared to an old Phenom 2.8ghz quad that would give me at least 40fps+.
Reason being is your using an 8 core cpu, this game cant make use of this so its literally only running off 4 cores on your 8 core cpu, these 4 cores are considerably smaller and not as fast compared to a dedicated quad core cpu.
My advice if your limited to the AMD chips like I am, Just buy an fx4300 or fx4350 (mine) which will likely fix your issues :]

So I took a very long break from drawing, well anything over the past year or so.
Just the other week I decided to pick up the pens again and try drawing some of my Guild Wars 2 characters.
I shall update this thread when ever I produce more work.
I wouldnt consider myself a great artist, I just enjoy making pictures now and then, usually for myself.

Just in case anyone asks, no i’m not currently open for comissions, sorry my time is limited and I don’t want to have the added stress of having to produce work with deadlines and such.

While there at it why not include collections for the Primordius/Destroyer weapons and the mesmer Whisper ones too.
They made one for the corrupted/Jormags set already, although the rewards are pretty awful.

This is my main character Nikki Novella, one of 8 Novella asuran sisters :p

1st: trying her best to look good for the camera… somewhat pulling it off i guess.
2nd: fooling about jumping around with eternity while being dazzled by the pretty effects.

Thanks for the responses, I have an ample supply of materials which are needed to get there, iirc my warrior using the same process cost me less than 40g total.
So yeah to me its worth it, certainly as this will be my 10th character to 80, I really don’t want to explore maps again…

Quick question, I have a level 23 thief id like to craft to 80.
I have heard that the exp given since the september patch is reduced, is this still the case?

I ask as prior to that patch I crafted a warrior & necromancer from 20-80 with exp to spare, getting roughly 7+ levels per 400 profession, can I do that now?

An average day at teq…

Over the past 3-4 days I have been getting an issue with the login server.
On my chat box it will keep repeating who is online from my friends list every 10-20 seconds, itll do this atleast 3x and after that the game will black screen for about a minute and then go the desktop with the launch client (if im lucky) other times I have to ctrl/alt/del force close the program to get control of my computer again.

The game does not appear to lag at all during these times, Im able to attack and move without problem, but once I see the “…. is online” pop up I know whats coming.
This issue is random but persistent, im lucky if I can play for more than 30 minutes without it happening atleast once.

Is there anything I can do to fix this or is it just something I should deal with for the time being while the servers are in a terrible functioning state?

They didnt actually “add” a new dungeon when it came to the TA aetherpath, it replaced the FWD>UP path instead (the one with the bees and tough spider/tree boss)

Ignoring fractuals we havent had any new dungeons at all.

Simply screen shotted from the game, opened them up into paint shop, cropped the image then added a soften brush to the backgrounds to soften them, making the characters stand out more. Also minor lighting enhancements.

Unplayable lag, first showed up on the july 1st update, has been there ever since and is steadily getting worse. today im experiencing 1-2 minute lags which end in disconnects.
Cannot run dungeons or WvW at all.

My internet is fine, generally connect to other games with an average of 32ping, GW2 is pushing 500 frequently.
Sick of this, Im a new player having only joined a couple of months ago and already I feel the urge to quit playing this game all because I can’t even play it!

Yes ever since the Aetherblade JP on 1st july I have had constant lag spikes and disconnects.
Oddly as others have said, I was able to do the new JP with no issues at all but once the additional patch arrived late that night the game has been pretty much unplayable since then.
Im getting lag spikes atleast every 20-40 seconds, some lasting a good 1-2 minutes.
Have been totally unable to run WvW or dungeons because of this and it’s really ruining my enjoyment of the game to the point I feel I no longer want to play it.

Im in UK and play on Underworld server.

Please Anet, this is pathetic, fix your game NOW!

Only joined GW2 a couple of days ago and really enjoying it so far, however today I was unable to login to my account as it required an email authentication.
Everytime I clicked on the activation link in the sent email it would come back with a failed request.
The only bypass I could find was to entirely disable authentication to be able to play the game, but im not happy leaving my account so open like that.
Are there any work arounds for this? Im finding everything I attempt usually ends up with failure messeges… is this whole system really bugged out or something?
