Since the HOT launch, I have found that 2 Mastery points in Central Tyria that are UNCOMPLETEABLE & BROKEN.
The first is ths spoon collection. I am down to 1 spoon in this collection, the fractal spoon. I have NEVER got this spoon yet I all I get is the broken spoon. This is VERY aggrovating since this is the ONLY spoon I need to complete this collection & the Mastery Point.
The second is the ambrite weapon collection. Sure, you can still but the receipes, but you cant make them anymore since the bug piece that you need are NEVER in the chests now. This is ALSO a mastery point for the completed set.
I have informed customer support about these bugs and have even made the “bug” reports in the game. I took them a week to even figure out what I was even taking about, then they told me that this isn’t a major problem, and THEN they told me to report the problem here in the forums…..so here I am.
If I may one suggestion to ArenaNet, please make more Mastery Points availible for central Tyria. The game seems a bit unbalanced that there are SSSOOO many Mastery points to get in HOT and most are super easy to get, while central Tyria have fewer and either require years of play time, catching CRAZY rare event, countless hours of farming, or straight up BROKE. Thank you
So I broke down and bought a flute today and my friend helped my download MusicBox. Now, I am trying to find songs I can play on it . I would love to learn some songs,
If any one of you “musicians” are looking for some “REQUESTS” here are 5 songs I am working on:

As a consumer, If I buy a copy of the game, I DO NOT whatsoever want to see ads in the game about the game I just bought. Ads should stay in the Free-To-Play Copies on the game. I bought GW2 back in Feb. 2015 and I pre-ordered HOT back in July 2015, so my account, along with the others who actually purchased the game, should not have ads in thier game.
Yet all during the beta weekend, EVERY single time I would teleport or switch maps I would see “Pre-Order Game now” ads. Really?? I bought the game already, why would I want to REBUY it? I reported this to customer service, and GM Goggly Eyes said state my concerns in the forum, so here I am.
Is it so hard to keep all the annoying ads in the Free-To-Play games and let the players who spent the money to actually play the game enjoy the game Ad-Free?

Me and my friend retested this and the craziest thing happened. My level 10 ranger went through a wall in The Grove where the portal to Lion’s Arch was suppose to be (just a wall, no portal there). Screen went black for a good minute and then I was in Gandarian Fields. She made up a character and had no trouble traveling anywhere at level 2. I went back to The Grove, and sure enough, the port to Lion’s Arch was right where it should be. Not sure if this is just a rare fluke, but sent pics to support anyway.

I contacted support about this bug. I will post what supports says when I get feedback from them. Thanks for the input Roseof Gilead.
I am an owner of this game. I even pre-ordered HOT back in July. Today I created a new charactor and for some strange reason, my slyvari was could not get into The Grove till level 10. (which is one of the Free to Play restrictions.) When I got to The Grove, I throughly mapped it and found no door to Lion’s Arch like there should be. (This is ALSO a Free to Play restriction till lvl 35). Before the FtP Launch, I could go as i please at any level since I already have several lvl 80’s & five 100% world mappers. Now I have the same restrictions as a FtP player? This is totally unfair.
Has anyone else encountered this bug?

Yesterday, I finally got access to all my goodies in the HOM. Today I created a new charcactor stating that I had “falsely earned my GWAMM title and it was being stripped” and that the “process was irreversable”
I am 42/50 in the GWAMM and I EARNED my title…..here is the proof

I sent in a report to support, (not sure what good it will do.) Did this happen to any one else? Why was I stripped when I clearly have a 42/50 in the HOM…..I waited ssssooo long to get my goodies after my old account was hacked, and I’m stripped of what I earned……

Bunch of diehard whiteknight (you know I’m talking to you) and corporate shill defenses in this thread.
Just another Dev you can’t put enough trust in to make pre-ordering a safe bet.
Anet is hovering just over Rocksteady and Ubisoft on my meter of trustworthy/competent Developers now.
I like the misuse and/or misunderstanding of some terms. I think even those saying to let Anet fix it properly are actually rather critical of Anet and hardly white knights. But some have an understanding of what is actually required to fix something like this. For someone to be a shill, they would need to be basically hired to fulfill those roles, would they not? Or otherwise benefit. Although I suppose if you think everyone that isn’t absolutely of the same mind as you, are hired either to undermine you or somehow to appease people? My how some things don’t change.
Now, my question for those that have been ranting and raving. Does what has been said here today convince you that they have been working on it and that it will be resolved soon? Or will the requests for more updates start all over again tomorrow?

Just for the record, we are NOT “rabid wolves.” We are just loyal gamers who worked hard to get our rewards in the HOM and cannot retrieve our rewards because of some bug that is now going into it’s 5th month with the only ETA of a relaunch of the working properly HOM is a generic “soon.” (Although, I have been informed it is a pretty good “soon” by Lauren in this thread —- a more specific ETA would be very nice)
That’s exactly what has been taking this whole time. They have been working on a way to do exactly that: removing undeserved achievements and stuff from those who got them due the bug.
Thb I didn’t even know that bug. I’ve almost never seen the gw1 titles ingame. It’s just annoying that you can’t get the hom skins.

If this fix is so “risky”, why did they break it in the first place? They expect their players to “play by the rules” and they should as well.To be honest, with all the hype of HOT and Dev. team being so “hush hush”, I’m not expecting the relaunch of the HOM till the release of HOT (if they remeber about it at all). I have just lost faith.
The “fix” is not risky; it’s apparently already done. The remaining work is to finish a script that reverses the unearned rewards without doing anything else. It’s easy to change a “flag” or "setting on an individual account. It’s easy to do it for 40 accounts. However this work requires a script that touches every single existing account, perhaps over 4 or even 5 million at this point. That means testing all sorts of other things that could be related to the way in which the points accrued or when they did.
The fact that this got bugged in the first place means there is some sort of unintended consequence of some other change (probably for HoT and its collections) and they have to ensure that there isn’t yet another unforeseen issue.
That’s what makes this tricky.
Look at it from their point of view: it would make their lives so much easier if they could get this done and out of the way. It would be a high profile win on a 4-month old issue, that disproportionately affects incoming newish players and returning veterans, the very players they hope that will buy HoT.
So it is my understanding that they are more concerned with the “newish” players than the “veterans” because it is “disproportionate” to their monatary botton line?
I know it’s just business, and money talks……but still an over 4 month now issue with no sign of a relaunch is a MAJOR disservice to thier loyal players and those who “worked the grind” to get all those goodies.
If they are actually working on this issue, a break from the constant HOT updates and a quick update on the HOM would be awesome (or is that asking to much?)

No one has forgotten about it. They admitted the mistake, the fixed the problem from happening again. It just takes time to clean up something likes this (mostly, it’s the testing, not the actual fix or clean-up script — they really can’t afford to make the smallest mistake now).
It just isn’t right that they have updates on HOT every single day, yet we cannot even get an ETA on the HOM relaunch or even an update on it’s progress after it has been down for so long?

Not sure what that would accomplish. That one person is working on it, we don’t really need periodical reports about how they are fixing it. When it is done, the HoM will be reopened.
Gee, what would that accomplish? Periodical reports about the HOM would keep their consumer base informed, which is a good thing. It’s not that is too much to ask since they keep updating us on HOT every single day! Also, as I have said before, they REALLY need to fix the major bugs in the core GW2 game (such as this one, and many others) BEFORE they throw in the HOT expansion and add MORE bugs (which some may be harder to fix & relaunch that this one.)
I don’t know what they can really say other than ‘Yep, still working on the problem’. Which people whine at them for anyway, so what’s the point? They’re working, and we should be grateful that they haven’t just said they’re going to leave it closed. Sheesh.
It’s been over 4 months now!!! “Yep, still working on the problem.” just doens’t cut it anymore!
This problem should already been solved and relaunched for all of us, thier valued customers, to enjoy again, or ANET should post WEEKLY on the progress to us, instead of all the crazy HOT nonsense. I dare say if they put HALF as much effort on this problem as the they are marketing HOT, it would already been solved & relaunched months ago, and there would be ALOT less people complaining.
I agree…..Anet is NOT being very open about this at all and that is VERY poor customer service. They screw up BIG TIME and we are suppose to wait patiently and blindly while they decide when it would be convenient for them to fix and relauch HOM, all the while throw Heart of Thorns stuff EVERYWHERE!!!. In the “real world” if you make such a big mess up such as this, you make it a TOP priority to fix it ASAP so you can keep your customers happy. Instead, they only stick only ONE person on this, have us wait 4 months (and who knows how much longer), give us updates whenever it is convenient for them, and at the same time; try to get more money from the customers (the very people they have wronged the the first place by THEIR mistake) by posting “pre-purchase HOT” and giving news articles about HOT. THAT IS JUST NOT RIGHT!

No, I do not think badly of the developers of this game & I am not expecting “miracles”. I am only expecting them to address a high-profile problem such as this, fix it, and relaunch the fix in a timely manner. That is called good customer service. 4 months is NOT a timely manner and ALOT of people like me are frustrated that it isn’t already launched. Everything is all about HOT nowadays, and there are many, many “bugs” in this game that need to be fixed before HOT should even be launched. Why put more “bugs” in a game via expansion when the core game already has “bugs” in it?
As far as these “details” you speak of? Can you please show me where they are? I have yet to find anything that has a set date just “soon” or “eventually.” Maybe which major patch update, and when would be great.

You don’t need 50/50 to get the GWAMM title the “honest” way. I have 42/50 in GW1 and got the title in GW1. I think it is either 30/50 or 40/50 (not quite sure which one.)

Granted, I am not a computer programmer, but I do work in customer service. One cannot argue the fact that this problem isn’t going to go away on it’s own, no matter how much “Heart of Thorns hype” they stick everywhere. The HOM is a key part in linking the lore of GW1 to GW2 and ALOT of people like me worked hard to get all those goodies and now can’t get them because a develper blunder? Yet, in the past 4 months,we have had no update on it’s relaunch or progress other than the generic “soon” or “eventually.” The HOM needs to up, live and soon and WAY before the launch of Heart of Thorns.
I feel your pain. 42/50 in the HOM and I still cant use my Black Widow. I guess ANET thinks HOT expansion is more important. I am glad I am not the only one upset by this injustice to all the GW1 Vets. lol…don’t even call support about this either….I tried that and all they said was “it’s a develpment issue” and to “find out more in the forums.”

Honestly, the bug isn’t completely fixed until it is launched in the game, Which it isn’t.
There is no Black widow, no Black Moa, No White Raven, No Rainbow Jellyfish, and merchant is still disabled….In my definition, that is still BROKE.
I just think that we the players have the right to know when the HOM will have rewards in it again. 4 months is WAY too long to just sit on this.

Fix the bugs & launch the fixed bugs in this game before you make an expansion which will add more bugs to the already exisits.
This only makes sence to do this and I am sure other gamers like me would not mind the wait for HOT if bugs in THIS game for fixed and launched.

I am not sure that the Dev. team realize how much of a BIG DEAL this is to Veteran players of GW1. It’s like saying “screw you” to all of us who really worked REALLY hard to get all those goodies in the HOM. I am under the impression that the “HOT hype” has taken over which I think is a TOTAL INJUSTICE to those who have been faithful to the game since GW1.
I wonder of ANET realizes that if it wasn’t for the loyal GW1 players, there would not even BE a GW2 , much less the HOT expansion.

Seems a bit unfair to all the Veteran players that this has been down for 7 months, and no one at ANET has gotten around to putting it back in the game. I did play the Beta this weekend of Heart of Thorns……meh, not really impressed thus far with HOT.
I could care less about the skins but I just would like the pets put back in the HOM (black widow, black moa, white raven, rainbow jellyfish.)
I just want my black widow spider back. :-( Slaved over a year to get GWAMM, had my GW2 account hacked, took 2 weeks to expain to support about the hack and to remerge my GW1 to my new account, and THIS happens…….Very NOT cool.

I have heard in game that the HOM will be “broken” untill the launch of Heart of Thorns. Is this true?
Any expections on when this bug will be fixed? Why are those of us who worked sssooo hard to get all those goodies in the HOM are getting robbed by a “development glitch?” Is the development of Heart of Thorns so important that the Veteran players of GW1 are being punished?
I just my GW1 & Gw2 accounts linked up.I have 42/50 achiemements in the HOM so I was expecting all my goodies. I go to my Hall of Momuments and it is BARE!! No black widow spider, no black moa, no white raven, no rainbow jellyfish and I get an error from the merchant saying “unavailble at this time.” I have contacted GuildWars2 support for the past several days about this issue. Their solution…….It’s a “develpment problem” and post it to the forum…..so here I am. How hard is it for me to get all my goodies so I can enjoy my achievments from GW1?
