Pax is in 2 weeks (Actually 1, if you consder that pax happens in mid of the second week).
We still have 3 elite specs to be revealed. I would wait for 1 more next week, and the last two within september, leading up to a beta late september, and launch late october.

It could be, of course, but given how much is known about the expansion so far I wouldn’t assume it.They announced just a couple weeks ago that it will be this year. Since there is only a couple of months left in 2015 I doubt they will miss the deadline, most stuff is probably already complete with some minor adjustment. Otherwise they wouldn’t have announced that.
With them, ANY LIE is possible. They put Murphy’s law to an harder testing than NASA itself.

Well we were pretty good back when they first introduced dumbfire, but IMO we never should have been given fire anyways. Chill was and still is what should be our staple ability as it chimes much better with the whole death theme.
Dumbfire gave us one good build at the time, and because it was good they nuked it from orbit and made many of our other abilities garbage; I’m looking at you reduced terror damage.
I for one will be quite pleased if Robert can put us on even ground with the other classes in all game modes. Not just in WvW zergs where we are actually wanted.

you should have realized by now that they don’t want Necro to be strong. they removed bleed stack from pvp, and then they said they don’t like splitting skills from pvp and pve and so they removed bleed stack from pve too. instead of giving back the bleed stack on pvp they removed from pve. hahahahaha

Time changes, value changes. There’s nothing to counter-argue with a guy still stuck in mid-90’s. This expansion is forcefeeded BS that comes at the price of buying fewer contents at gold price and pray for the best in the near future.
Barely off topic but guess what : with the new gear and pvp system (that REALLY looks like Gw2 casual mechanics), Legion will only have to drop the suscription to bury Gw2 for good. And I can assure you we’re not so far from here.

I remember the days when you went to a shop (as in physically went there) to buy a game and it would keep you occupied for months.
I remember a time when expansions told you what you got in them and only asked for your money when it came out and was finished.
I even remember when they came with manuals, some of which were books (as in real hundreds of physical paper books) in and of themselves.
I even remember when this DRM thing didn’t exist and you could take your games where you want and install it wherever you wanted and play wherever you wanted with whoever you wanted.
I also remember when even accounting for inflation they were cheaper!
Yep, so spoilt we are now.

Two other points granted.
Don’t forget: nostalgia makes everything beautiful though. I literally finished Super Mario Land within 45mins, it was a full priced game, but we didn’t complain.
You complain about an MMO which initially cost 60€/$ and you could play thousand of hours, now they add an expansion for 50 bucks and this is not a static expansion, they will add additional stuff as they always do. In my opinion it is an insolence even to complain in a manner so many people do it here. Yes, we are spoiled people.

Also trying to make the ranger pure melee is like trying to make the guardian pure ranged. It will not work

Nice gameplay, but I don’t understand the choice of the axe. The 4 isn’t really useful and he barely use the 5.
The only reason I’d ever sacrifice the best range of all professions would for trying a fun build, temporary. You can’t expect the same efficiency while giving up your best asset.
LB#3 is broken for the following reasons:
It has to hit.
Requiring a skill to land your target for it to have its desired effect does not make a skill broken…
Broken isn’t the opposite of viable.
I wouldn’t call build choices based on skins.
I might need further testing then.
Birds are slow to react and rarely reach the target. I love wolf/alpine wolf and play both together, to slow/fear the melee.
But I mostly play it for mass melee control with LB, so I can’t really give you an opinion about it, except that GS evade is pretty cool.
We’re talking about leveling here, there’s nothing bad about playing something so long as it fits your needs : nobody cares if your build works now.
And I am actually leveling a ranger with alpin wolf/raven, and love how they can help me to deal with veteran so easily.
Enjoy your build to enjoy your leveling, you will have enough time to care about your choice once you’re 80.

With the extension announced, I’m thinking about giving GW2 another try.
While I am very interested by a ranger and usually playing warrior/guardian, I’m a little concerned about the meta.
Can you please give me a subjective point of view about your idea of the actual meta by ranking every professions in your answers and maybe give a little opinion ?

We need cloaks.
It’s beautiful, immersive, and everyone want to look like a knight need it, because it’s part of the outfit. It’s a huge lack in a game about skins and pretty armor.
There’s already a slot for the back accessoires, so why not making a simple cloak that’d fly the same way draconic or Arah do while walking or running ?
So I’m opening this thread as a petition that I hope, will move Arena Net to give us a simple skin (with or without dyes option), even a cash shop one. That’d be way much better than horrible leather jacket or sunglasses.

I, sign this with pleasure. As a medieval-fantastic role-player, cloaks are just the skin element I need the most to complete my set. Please, considere it now.. A single skin at least to give the choice would be so great..
