Who are we?

Going Postal is an international gaming community with a focus on building a dedicated, mature and friendly community. We are, and we mean this, absolutely committed to our community, it comes first in all instances, before skill, before elitism, before anything – we care uttermost about our members. Our approach is casual to semi/hardcore, we play games competitively on occasion, but mostly prefer to relax and have fun because we feel if your tense, stressed and being yelled at by some headstrong raid leader you’re kind of missing the point.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for people like us; people who want to relax and have fun. We don’t want drama queens, elitists, people with temper tantrums etc. You must be chilled, easy going and ready to integrate into a community of friends. If you have no interest in coming online, joining us in Mumble, singing your countries national anthem or reading our infamous pledge to the Hedgehogs then we really have no place for you. We really ask for people over eighteen and that you can speak English enough to follow conversations.

What do we offer?

We have an exceptionally strong and diverse leadership with years of experience in leading guilds. We are dedicated, friendly but looking to expand our small start-up in something special. At the moment you can expect to be joining a hundred member strong community that has been refined into a guild sharing the same philosophy, and while we are still enjoying some teething pains, feel we’re already a top social guild.
In Guild Wars 2 we play on desolation and have a very structured schedule, tPVP teams, WvW alliance, Gold runs, Dungeon runs, social gaming events and more.
Essentially you can enjoy all the games features with a solid community of friends.
Outside of Guild Wars 2 we have already expanded to playing League of Legends and Minecraft and with an open to feature games depending on the requirements of the community. In these games, we log in, have fun and log out.
Essentially, if accepted, to join a fantastic growing social community aiming to focus on Guild Wars 2 and other games in the future. Have fun, relax and play great games with great people!

How to Join?

We have a simple recruitment form on our website you can fill out. We use a handful of open questions to allow you to convince us your personality is right for us. Take your time, half arsed applications will be rejected.

I’d support this, provided they were just ‘optional extras’ for skins, I mean some people like them, some don’t. What’s the harm of including them for those that DO like them?

Call me old fashioned, but i played for the core game, And then an expansion without it…and i very rarely had to “sit around in a city for hours”
You say they were awful and tortuous prior to the lfg tool, i found them ironically just that after the tool.
I’m guessing that, And no offence meant here, you were a tank or healer? Because i often signed as a dps (Sometimes tank/healer, i confess) And what did you say…“spamming the city channels again for 30 mins” Well, Queues as a dps took 45 mins sometimes even WITH the lfg tool, but i digress (In fairness, I HAVE just got back from the pub, So bear with me) but the thing is, When people could just sign up to it, and never see/hear from you again, they acted like kitten, While if they were stuck on your server, they’d act with a little decorum, so they’d be INVITED BACK.
And there’s the solution. You find a good group, you add them, you ask them back for future runs, No more sitting outside the dungeon spamming /s or in citys or map chat, or any of that.
Worst case scenario, You join a pve guild in gw2, seeing as well..this IS the pve. You join a guild for raiding in the nameless game, Join one for explorables here.#

It’s odd this wasnt around at launch, Given that you COULD change your characters style in GW1 (Albeit, Through the real currency store)
My only theory would be it’s slightly more complicated, because of two things;
It either buggers up your personal story
Or it’ll lead to people wanting more, including race changes, which WILL screw up the story.
Offer people a finger, and they want your whole hand these days..
