So I had saved up to 25 Laurels this morning. When I entered EB I descided it was time to get myself some nice Ascended gear from the Laurels I had.
There I was, buying an Ascended Ring from the Laurels merchant in EB. Because I already bought an Ascended Ring from this merchant before, I thought it would be cool if I had two of the same Rings. Also because the Ring was named after the glorious Dolyaks.
So I bought it, and spend my 25 Laurels on this Ring. When I tried to equip the Ring, it seemed I couldn’t. After a moment of panic, I realised it’s not possible to wear two of the same Rings. Not even when they’re Ascended.
So those were 25 Laurels poorly spent. Though it was my very own fault for liking Dolyaks too much, a small warning when I bought the Ring would have been nice. At least that would have saved me the trouble I have to go through now to get another 25 Laurels… Perhaps an idea for a future patch? I’m sure I’m not the only one who has ever been through this
I hope you guys from Arenanet take my request into consideration. Happy holidays!
The melandru gear is really awesome armor. Especially the heavy armor woth all the spikes on it. Bit, the handarmor has some issues for players using a shield. The spikes somehow go through the shield when you’re in combat. This is something that sort of irritates me. Are there more people who have experienced this?
There is no denying the fact that Dzagonur are playing a very dirty game here. At the beginning of this matchup, RoS was holding their ground very well. We even managed to stay on top for a few days, being a close second in the days after. It was long before XT and the others left when Dzagonur started their dirty game.
Constantly fighting RoS, just in order to keep UW off their backs and staying at the second place in this matchup. It seems they prefer cowardly tactics to stay at the second place above a fair matchup in which all servers, including Dzag, have a fair chance of coming out on top. I’m pretty sure this tactic Dzag is using is also one of the things that gave XT the final push of leaving RoS. This matchup is no more fun now.
I hope that Dzag will be less cowardly the next time we meet, and actually give this matchup a chance of being fun and competitive. You managed to destroy this one.
So how did Dzagonur like our ninja attack on Bay this afternoon? Shame RoS couldnt fully take it though. You defended it well!
Cheers from an RoS warrior
How did the Ruins do after 3.00 PM. After a three hour siege on RoS Garrison we finally took it at 2.30 PM. Hard fought victory and well deserved!
Ruins were doing fine actually. We managed to keep Dzagonur and Gunnar’s at bay in our own World, plus we were taking alot of ground in the Eternal Battlegrounds. I must say, we had some fun battles against Dzagonur when I was online. The Bay was basically lost, but the Ruins managed to push you out again! Hope to fight to you guys again tomorrow!
My warrior is Hammer/S+Sh
0/0/30/20/20
Berserker armor and everything else is Knights gearGood at 1v1, 1v2, excels in Group battles blowing up the enemy zerg ball with the hammer then switching to S+Sh to escape, heal and do it all over again.
If you are interested let me know and I will post the build in more detail.
Please do so. I’m very interested in all sorts of playstyle fit for WvW.
Hello fellow Warriors,
I need some tips and tricks for a Warrior who is going to spend alot of time in the WvW fights soon.
My weapons of choice are a sword and a shield. I chose these simply because I believe the sword is more effective against multiple oponents than the axe. I picked the shield because I believe the shield can be very usefull in both PvP as PvE because of the blocking and extra protection.
My playstyle is much similiar to a Tank Warrior back in WoW (which I also played). Focused completely on surviving fights, I chose to focus my traits on Power, Toughness and mainly Vitallity (20/20/22 so far. Just turned lvl 72, so I don’t have all the Trait points yet). You will always find me on the frontlines of the fights.
Cheers!
I’m gonna give your name an 8. I like your firstname, but your lastname sounds more ‘elvish’ to me. I’d give that name to Legolas or someone similiar :p
Mine: Jarvis Eterna
My character is a noble and honorable warrior who always puts someone else’s safety up front. Tall and muscular with very short hair. I created his character with Boromir from LotR in the back of my mind :p

First of all thanks for the responses
I posted it in here because this is about me being about to play WvW, but I agree that it would fit better in the warrior forums.
The weapons I prefer to use are a sword and a shield. Mainly because the shield gives me attacks to interrupt others and defend myself better, and the sword because I believe it’s more effective than the axe when fighting multiple enemies (which is a situation I often find myself in).
That is also mainly my playstyle. Up to this point I played the same way as I played my Tank specialised Warrior back in World of Warcraft (shield + much defence and health). You will always find me on the frontlines of the battles.
Hello everyone,
I need some tips and tricks for a Warrior who is going to spend alot of time in the WvW fights.
Currently my Traits are specialised on Power, Toughness and Vitallity, with Vitality as the strongest (think I’ve got it 20/20/22). I haven’t spend all traits yet since I just turned lvl 72 :p
Cheers!
I believe it’s near another big tree North-West of the swamp. It’s at a viewpoint.
You are able to trigger the event yourself. When it hasn’t been shown in a while, you can trigger it by killing a Zombie tree creature (near the swamp). Once this is done, portals will be opened in the monastary nearby, which is are both event on itself. Kill the portals etc to trigger the next event near a centaur camp. Once you have done these events, the Behemoth will appear!
Hello everyone,
This is one of the things that is really starting to annoy me lately. The players on my world (Ruins of Surmia) are VERY unactive when it comes to Dynamic Events.
I seem to be the only player in the entire map who actually cares for events. This afternoon there was this World Event with a Dragon in Sparkly Fen. Dragon fights are always very epic when done with many players. But yet I seem to be the only one who wants to fight this dragon. And since these dragons have a ton of health, it litterally takes hours for me to kill the dragon. And besides I’m having alot of trouble fighting off all the mobs surrounding the dragon.
Is there a way to increase player activity on my server? I’m pretty sure more people spread throughout the server are being halted by this. Events are important things in this game, and also one of the most fun things to do. I really don’t understand how so few people seem to be interested in this.
Cheers
Hello everyone,
I’m experiencing some major issues with my computer. Apparently, my computer can’t handle Guild Wars 2. I’m having a constant number of <5 FPS. Every attempt to improve this from both my father, who’s job it is to understand computers, and myself were in vain. The computer itself doesn’t have any trouble running it. Our videocard is potentionally more than good enough to run GW, and I have a good internet connection.
A few moments ago my little brother (who often plays the WoW-trial and creates a new account over and over again)told me he was also experiencing major input-lag issues on his WoW-trial. So the reason of my computer failing probably lies within itself. But what can it be? I need help fast!
My specs are:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8800 3.0 GHz
Intern RAM: 4 GB
Video Card: Club3d HD3450 512 MB
Cheers,

And in all honesty, you cant say i run mass effect and cryisis so i can also run this game, its an unrealistic and dumb thing to say.
I was only using this comparison to give others an idea of what my computer is capable of, since I can’t give you my specs yet.
It’s the game. All we can do is wait to see if they fix it. If you didn’t check what was required to run the game that’s a different story, but right now there is an issue with the game and low fps. There is a pretty active thread up to 20 pages now about this. Wasn’t sure if you saw it yet:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/Low-FPS-merged/first
If you meet the requirements, I don’t think there is anything you can do. I have spent 2 days testing everything on my computer, reinstalling windows, and a lot more. Nothing helps.
I did notice the thread, but haven’t read through it yet since I’m only active on these forums for about 20 minutes now lol.
Are you also experiencing an fps of <10? Cause that’s what I’m having :s
So it seems I’m not the only one with this problem. I’ll update the OP as soon as my dad (sounds very kiddy-like lmao) gets home. He’ll know where to find my system specs. But I did manage to find the specs of my processor
Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo CPU E6850 @ 3.00 GHz
This is the only thing I can tell of my specs thus far…
@ KrgWOW,
I’m not a female…. lmao
english its not my first language, sorry
No worries. Neither am I :P

Hello everyone,
As the gamer I am, I bought Guild Wars 2 yesterday. But as soon as it was installed, I noticed the game was having input lag issues on my computer. This even happens in the launch pad of the game.
Once I start the game, I noticed the fps of my computer was extremely low. And with ‘extremely’, I really mean extremely low. I had 1(!) fps…. I immediately noticed there was something wrong here, so I restarted the game. But the fps didn’t improve untill today. I now have a total of 5 fps……
This extremely low fps makes it almost impossible for me to properly play the game. It doesn’t increase no matter what settings I use. And I’m pretty sure there is nothing wrong with my computer, since it’s capable of running the game ‘Crysis’ without any issues.
Also, I don’t exacly know the specs of my computer, and I’ve got no idea where to find them (give me a break, I’m only 16 and not a computer genius). But given the fact that it can run games such as Crysis and Mass Effect 2 should be enough reasons to believe my computer should be able to properly run Guild Wars 2.
Any help to increase my fps would be very much appreciated! Because this game is unplayable with a fps of 5 >.<
Cheers
