I have a bunch of apprentice gear I bought off BLTC. It’s mostly req 20 and 25 light armor. It’s all showing as not salvageable. I could swear I’ve salvaged these in the past. What am I missing?

I play Gaurdian and Mesmer a lot in PvE and WvW. In PvE I do the Temple of Grenth event several times a week on average. It’s an excellent example of where tagging mobs with a Gaurdian staff 1, 2, and 3 can lead to massive loot especially if you have a full party dishing AoE. I often fill 50 or more bag slots during this event with my Gaurdian with big stacks of loot bags and trash trophies mixed in. I get similar results on Engineer using flame thrower and grenades. On my Mesmer I have trouble filling 20 bag slots in the same event.
In WvW zerg on zerg I get similar Gaurdian tags, but for me it’s tough to get up to the damage threshold necessary to get a lot of loot in pvt armor and traited for survival. Bags are’nt really my goal in WvW anyway. I actually get similar loot on my Mesmer in WvW. For WvW, my staff Elementalist is the bag king with huge AoE damage and I can still support my team with lots of fields.
The AoE tags on large groups of foes definitely make a difference in quantity of loot.

How do these changes affect Hall of Monument skins and skins like Zenith weapons that are currently zero charge to apply? Am I now going to have to spend transmutation charges to apply these?

Somebody posted a screengrab from the video which showed the text “Free to Apply” on a HoM skin.

Likely zenith will be the same, but if not just withdraw a new one instead of transmuting.

Thanks for the info. It would have really torqued me if I had to pay to make my HoM Firey Dragon Swords.

I leveled 30 levels in the last 4 days which is way faster than I leveled any of my previous seven lvl80s. I did a bunch hours of PVP on a glory booster (gotta burn those up now) and converted the glory to Tomes of Knowledge (8 levels). I found the PVP to be a nice change of pace. I ran the LA event with a different lvl80 and bought Tomes of Knowledge with the found object things (12 Levels) (note: these tomes cost like 30 silver per level in addition to the 100 found objects). I did the remaining levels crafting 0-400 chef, which can be done at a fairly low cost, and running my personal story. I’m averaging enough found objects to buy a tome each LA Event run. So, there are several options out there to get 10 levels really fast.

I don’t know if this has been suggested, but what about 1 account wide bag slot. Charge 1600 gems for it. You could put your unlimited harvesting tools, copper fed salvage kit and royal pass all in one bag and no more hassle of switching between alts. Huge convenience factor.

This would be great. Even an 8 slot bag would be adequate.

Tons of awesome suggestions here.
-Make perma harvest tools a permanent store item. (+1 for previously requested chainsaw for trees…..very cool idea)
-GW1 armor skins, halos, angel wings (hmmm…heard that before?)
-Dye packs without rng (I will buy these, I will never buy rng with gems again)
……..we are waiting to give you cash that can be used to support game improvements.

I honestly like the QD champ train. When I come home after a long work day and want to relax, have some social interaction with other players, and work on my dailies it works very well. I agree it’s not a good situation when people grief new players, but most often the griefers get it right back from other vets.
I like to level alts on the train, not because it’s fast, but because it gives me a chance to work on skill rotations and try out the different weapon sets on MOBs that don’t melt instantly, while still getting loot I can salvage for those ever valuable mid level mats.
Again, not the best way for new players to level, but it’s a good opportunity to teach new players and guild members about fields & combos very early in the game due to the stronger foe that doesn’t one-shot down and the repeat availability of the foes. “Ok I’m going to put down this fire field, use your blast finisher. See you have might? See any difference in your damage?”. I bet I practiced my back stab with my alt thief hundreds of times doing the train while leveling and getting some reward at the same time.
