I haven’t posted on the forums since last fall because I’ve had no complaints of this caliber since I started playing…

but the RNG has got to STOP.

I’m not even remotely interested in the moa races because of how expensive they are. I thought the holographic dragon wings seemed pretty cool but the amount of grinding you have to do to get them doesn’t make them even remotely worth it to me… and then there’s the weapon skins.

I will admit I actually like the weapon skins a lot and find them rather awesome-looking but…

So far you can only get a ticket for a weapon skin as a random drop from the Dragon Coffers… But if you pay money for a RICH Dragon Coffer your chances are improved… but it’s still a RNG which means that it all comes down to luck, or a chance and THAT is nothing more than a scheme to make more money off the players. there are multiple ways to get Coffers but all of them involve grinding if you even want a remote chance at getting a weapon ticket. This is appalling. I would happily spend the money if it meant I had a guarantee that I would get a weapon skin ticket from the Rich Coffers but that’s a random chance too which makes it a toilet in which one flushes money.

In Super Adventure Box we had to grind bobbles to get weapon skins but at least we knew we were going to get them which made it all worth it to me. Getting the weapons in the Dragon Bash, however, is a massive waste of time and money to anyone involved and I think Anet needs to be ashamed of themselves.

My point being, I am not spending a dime on this festival and I refuse to grind the candy 1: because it’s the least rewarding amount of grinding in anything ever and 2: because the item (the ONE item) you get for it is mediocre at best.

I, too, have been less-than-patiently awaiting the release of the name changing system. They are, indeed, working on one. I spoke to a GM about it already.

Check the Trading Post for an item called “Name Change Contract.” It’s already a dummy-item within the game files. I suspect the finer details have yet to be worked out to make this item functional, but it IS in the works. It’s all a matter of when.

And the GM I spoke with couldn’t tell me when they planned on releasing it either… :/

There already is an item that you can use to change your face.

Ever since the reserved names were released I’ve been waiting for some kind of item to change my character’s name to the one I wanted to begin with. Every single update, every new build, every tiny bit of maintenance I check the gem store, or the twitter feed to see if something has been implemented.

Perhaps I missed a suggestion topic where it was confirmed that they are going to do this but I really really dislike being left in the dark and I think this is something that shouldn’t be ignored.

Normally I wouldn’t have an issue with this but since I couldn’t use the name I wanted right off the bat and I had to wait for it to be released I think this system should have been implemented that very day, but it wasn’t. Now there are items that allow you to change your character’s gender but still no way to change your character’s name.

I seriously don’t understand why this is so difficult to do. If your character has an offensive name you’re forced to change it with no problems regarding soulbound equipment and everything social is done with your account name and not your character name.

I can’t possibly be the only person who is frustrated with this…

Since the reserved names were released I’ve been dying to rename my ranger to the name I originally wanted for her… I wouldn’t mind doing some cosmetic changes too. I really don’t see any negatives to being allowed to do this. Especially since the party/friend/guild system relies on your account name and not your character name.

I think that an option to change your toon’s name should be available too. It doesn’t have to be free. It can be available to purchase in the market next to the character slot expansion.

Recently the reserved names were released and I know I’m not the only person who wants a reserved name on a main toon instead of having to make an entirely new character to use a name they wanted to begin with.
