Note: although condis are a waste in speed clears, this condimancer is primarily for soloing open world champs, and some less challenging dungeon support. WvW sometimes as well.

I currently have 4 sigils (superior) – agony, earth, corruption, and bursting.
Weapons are the standard Scepter + Dagger/Staff.
I am currently agonizing over which sigils to pair together and on which weapons – the scepter/dagger has lots of bleed sources but I also don’t want to lose on the condi damage from corruption + bursting. Or should I go for a more balanced approach and have sigil of earth + corruption and agony + bursting and the weapon sets?

I’m in no hurry to use the dye – so right now the best move appears to be wait post 15th and beyond. If it tanks, I’ll use. If it goes up, I’ll sell it for the gold.

So I was lucky enough to get an abyss dye from a unid drop – do I sell it now, or wait for a price increase (hopefully) after update, or use the dye?

I really can’t take this post seriously after I read that OP wanted to make a guild called Lions of ArchStreet. too hilarious, still laughing.

Can someone link the post that John Smith made saying it was FIFO?

I’ve seen websites that claim that you need to refresh your order by taking out items and pouring it back in, and forum posts that say its FIFO or first in first out. I find re-listing items cuts into profits (with all the TP fees), so can I have a clarification on if its FIFO or LIFO (last in first out)?

For me, as a lore junkie, I feel like the Scarlet story was clobbered together at the last second. The infamous Braham line: “It doesn’t matter now” almost shows us what AreanaNet was really thinking – perhaps they don’t have the answers to lead them out of this gigantic plot hole they’ve written themselves into. I’m sure they’d be able to think of a solution in time, however, until then, LS season 1’s plot remains a disappointment. And in a video game, where you’re not looking for artistic merit necessarily in the story, plot reigns supreme.

I did read it all, however, and I agree with most of your points. However, the SINGLE, BIGGEST, problem, that you failed to mention was the lack of answers. To list the unanswered questions would be blasphemy, but we, the players, require resolution. Scarlet would have been an adequate villain had we actually know what she was doing all of it for and why and how.
LS Season 2 needs to answer these questions, and tie up plot threads that should have been tied up this season. Having a tease of a dragon is simply not enough to answer for the enigma that is Scarlet.

My character feels unable to think by himself, always following orders or doing someone else’s bidding. He/she is very agreeing with everyone who puts a suggestion to him, I cannot count the number of times my sylvari has said “I agree” “Let’s do this” “You’re right”. Maybe instead, the story paths branch from ideas your character has on his own for once?
The personal story is excellent, however these nagging issues still feel that “Its not really all about you.”

Quoting myself, I still feel that the illusion of player “choice” gives way when you realize that all of the decisions are pretty much made for you – they are just slight variations on each that your characters choose between. I agree with Tikky, perhaps our character could even be the leader of an elite strike group or something, and I recgonize that Trahearne is needed from a lore perspective, you can’t really say “Player A defeated Zhaitan blah blah bah”. I just wish that our characters were more than mindless drones following orders without thinking for themselves or something. TL;DR: Player characters are one dimensional.

I don’t want to sound like a complainer, but living story isn’t much of a story – people go from one zerg to another, which, at least is Isle of Janthir, is filled with farmers. Arenanet needs to focus on giving people incentive to go back to the open world, incentive to do the meta events and noone does anymore, incentive to experience Tyria. Instead, the bulk of the population is either a) dungeon running b) In Lion Arch or c) Finding where the next world boss is and zerging it.

Enough said. Any explanation or a fix coming?

I would like to contradict that statement in three ways. First of all, a disclaimer. I loved the personal story. Second to SWTOR, GW2’s story was branching, epic in scale, lovely written and mostly fair. However, along my journey I noticed several flaws that I would like to address. First of all, is it really all about you? To quote Rhee Sosebee, “the most important thing in a MMO should be the player.” – then why do I feel like the second, the third, or the fourth most important thing in the story? I have read the complaints about Trahearne and I agree with most of them, however, after playing through 4 races and 4 stories I still feel that the character remains a sideliner watching the action. You saved the fort? You fought Zhaitan? You saved hundreds of lives? None of it matters at the end, because you are still a second in command in Orr, and while the congratulations are in order, I still feel that my character plays on the sides – doing the vital things but never getting recognition. What I liked about SWTOR’s story was simply the fact that you had great recognition and felt IMPORTANT at the end of the story. Guild Wars 2 simply fails for me to feel that way. Just killed him on my 62 necro w/ lvl 50 gear – he does nuke all of the npcs although i managed to force him into a corner and used death shroud to nuke him while kiting. Lich form helped a lot with dps and i brought him down with just over 1k health. Tip – use the environment to your advantage, jump over tables, run around and just try to keep ur health and slowly wilt him down.

I’ve been using carrion and it works great – of course, the signet of spite suggestion was great as well. I’d never even noticed it until you mentioned it, 4 conditions? Wow!

I don’t really know – I see a lot of ppl going full on wells for conditions. I’m not sure but I just haven’t really gotten into them.

Hey guys,
I have a level 60 necromancer and I thought it was a good idea to share my build and get some feedback on it. I primarly focused my necromancer around condition stacking and all around condition damage. I use a scepter/dagger and staff combo because the scepter/dagger provides a variety of conditions and condition removal while feast of corruption is a large single target dps. For traits I’m planning to go 30 spite 30 curses 10 soul reaping. For utilities, I have Blood is Power, Epidemic, and Signet of the Locust (PvE) or a Well when in a dungeon (I don’t pvp very much). Elite is lich form of course.
