You get one benefit from each rune you equip, in order. To clarify, let’s examine what happens as you put on each piece in a set with 6 Superior Runes of the Monk.
On your first piece of armor, you will gain (1) +25 healing power, as you have no prior runes.
On the next piece of armor, however, you gain (2) +15% Boon Duration. You retain (1) +25 Healing Power from your first Rune, but you do not gain any more Healing Power from the second Rune.
On the third Rune of the Monk, you get (3) +50 Healing Power. I’m not sure if this stacks with (1) +25 Healing Power, so now you either have a total of +50 or +75 Healing Power. You can test which easily by going to the Heart of the Mists and talking to the merchants there.
On your fourth Rune you get (4) 5% chance to gain Health when hit, leaving you with a total of +50 or +75 Healing Power, +15% Boon Duration, and 5% chance to gain health when hit.
On your fifth Rune of the Monk, you get (5) +90 Healing Power. Again, I don’t know whether this overrides or stacks with the two previous bonuses to Healing Power.
On your last piece in the set, you gain (6) When you use an Elite Skill you and nearby allies gain Aegis when you use an Elite Skill. As a result, you have either +165 or +90 healing power, +15% Boon Duration, 5% chance to gain health when hit, AND area Aegis on Elite usage.
Hope that clears things up.
I have a level 80 Engineer and four low-level alts. My alts are low-level because I just can’t stay away from the Engie to play them.
You see, I know that Engineer isn’t good at anything, and we can be outdone by at least one class in every role. However, I love the Engineer’s playstyle, and so I play it. Fun is, after all, the purpose of games, isn’t it?
Oh. I feel much better now!
In a game of Toypocalypse I was playing a moment ago (Fortunately, one I got the Toypocalypse Canceled acievment on) I saw something interesting. If you go to the corner of the instance you start in in the dungeon, in the tunnel there are several Scritt Mercenaries that can be recruited for three Scrap each. They helped a lot due to their decent damage melee attacks and more importantly their ability to heal out of combat. (What a wonderful thing to have in a game! Perhaps it should be used elsewhere… Hint, hint.)
I was wondering if everyone else saw anything like this, particularly in the tunnel on the opposite side. I took a brief glance in that area, but not for long enough to see anything but that there weren’t any Mercenaries.
EDIT: Oh my god, I misspelled the title. I feel so stupid right now.
In the dungeon where you get waves of Malfunctioning Toy Soldiers they are under the command of Malfunctioning Toy Soldier Captains with these awesome banners. So far I have found nothing on the wiki or anywhere else to indicate that they are available as anything other then an enemy.
Is there anyone else who would love to see these as a Mini or an Everlasting Tonic? I know I’d pay a pretty penny for one!
Precision on Pistols is good if you have some crit-happy traits (Notably Incendiary Powder from Explosives) but if you don’t then it wouldn’t be my first recommendation. Power is within earshot of useless on pistols, but if you’re looking for burst damage through your Gadgets then I guess you could make Power work. Honestly I’d just stick with a Rifle and stack Power, Toughness, and Vitality for a Gadget build.
Tarnished Coast has the meta-events in a loop too.
Queensdale: You have to protect the two researchers while they study the energy sources, but those two simultaneous events repeat.
Kessex Hills: It says that the portals are reversed, but they aren’t and in addition no events occur.
Gendarran Fields: Repeats between two events, one where you have to intercept some rebels before they get to Grand Adviser Bidda and another where you protect her from more rebels.
In each case no doors leading to the Mad King’s Realm spawn. However at least in Queensdale normal doors spawn as usual, although I haven’t checked the other two zones.
Thanks!
In the main TC maps, I can confirm it is broken, but when I joined a party member in an overflow map it worked there.
Actually, there’s a VERY good reason to equip a weapon.
It saves inventory space.
The new theory is that Mag thought that there was an alliance but TC ate Mag. But then Mag continued the alliance while TC continued to eat it. Or something.
Anyone who was on in the early afternoon knows TC and Mag didnt start attacking eachother until their combined efforts ran Ehmry completely off of Eternal Battlegrounds. Of course the alliance fell apart after you wiped us from the map lol..
Just stop. we all know what happened.
Correction. You all know what you think happened.
I can see why you would suspect a truce from the point of view of Ehmry Bay. But guess what: At most, there was a bit of informal focus-fire to account for the advantage you get every time the sun sets. I would rather play against two allied worlds then be accused of alliance.
Wow, If I hadn’t been fighting Mag for the last few hours tooth and nail I would’ve believed the guys at EB. The funny thing to me is that right now it looks from my point of view from the fight in Mag Borderlands like TC and EB are ganging up on Mag… when Mag is in last place.
They’re fighting back pretty well though. Can’t count how many times I defended Greenlake from EB from the west and Mag from the east, although I strongly suspect that Mag and EB have been fighting elsewhere in Mag’s borderlands.
